| | It didn't seem that hot today so I got out at noon and ran. I ran a bunch of slow miles in the Green Springs desert. I got really dehydrated but feeling alright.

| | I ran an easy 3 around 6 pm after mowing some lawns. I saw a big ol' turtle right by Artice Circle cruising up the hill toward Sunrise Tire.
Then after Institute I ran with Dawson down to Marcus Steeds house and back. Good run, although my achilles was hurting again. I'm going to take it easy tomorrow and get ready for the Red Rock Relay. I just found out I'm running in that.

| | I got out and ran in my race shoes, to break them in further. It ended up being like a tempo run. I ran it at a 6:30 pace.

Red Rock Relay (6.4 Miles) 27:21:30 | | Leg 18:
My dad and I were recruited by Aaron Metler to be on team "Listen to your heart". I ran from Virgin to the bottom of Laverkin. It was 6.4 miles of pure suck. I had a lot of uphill, then once I got to the fast downhill, I had to go to the bathroom so I didn't run as fast.

Red Rock Relay (9.8 Miles) 27:21:30 | | Leg 23:
The order of our legs were all messed up because me and my dad showed up late to run. This run I ran from the Sand Hollow turn off to the landfill turn off. A lot of uphill! This run was only supposed to be 4.8 miles, so when I got to about 4.4 miles I started an awesome kick. The run turned out to be 5.6 miles so I died after I my sweet kick. I don't know how they screwed up the mile differences so bad.
1. 6:00
2. 6:58
3. 7:37
4. 7:06
5. 6:09
.6. 4:18
5.6 miles: 38:11/6:45 pace
Leg 31
I started in the town in the town of gunlock and ran another uphilly run. This one was only 4.2 miles but it had probably the steepest uphills I had the whole time. I was really tired for this one and didn't want anymore uphill. The weird thing is that Red Rock is way more downhill than the Wasatch Back but somehow I ended up running more uphill on this course. I didn't wear my garmin for this run because I thought I was going to get poured on with the crazy rain.
4.2 miles: 30:40/7:15

| | PM: For some reason I felt really tired on this run. I feel really worn out, maybe because of lack of sleep.
Later PM: I ran an easy run with Jared after Institute.

| | I don't know why but I keep feeling way tired for easy runs. I feel like an old man trying to rekindle his glory running days but can't do it.

| | No watches, no garmins. Just got out on a peaceful run to see if I still love running. It turns out I do, it just sucks not having a team to share the love with. Being injured also makes it suck too.

| | I found a cool bike trail across from the washington parkway. I ran out to the dump pretty much. My achilles started hurting about half way through the run.

| | I wanted to run an AT with Pine View today to see how my speed is right now. I made the mistake of running with the varsity guys and they were going way to fast for me, so I only lasted like 4 minutes at a 5:40 pace with them. After I dropped out I went back to catch up with the middle guys doing the AT. I ran with Dyllen for about the last .75 of a mile. Then I ran home at like a 6:20 pace. So overall I ran about 2.25 miles at a low 6 minute mile pace.

| | Well today was my b-day and I didn't run. I didn't not run because it is my day of birth, but my achilles was at new high in fatness. So I decided to rest it. I talked to a friend who had achilles problems and it sounds like I might have tendonitis in my achilles.

| | After 2 days of letting my swollen achilles shrink down I ran again. I pulled another late nighter. I felt alright, I'm still having some achilles problems but o well.

| | I ran out to Arizona with Dahlson Flake, my new running buddy. We ran at a slow pace but it was a nice run until my achilles starting hurting again. I'm thinking about seeing a doctor for my achilles.

| | Painful running. Some by myself some with PV XC. Coach Holt made fun of how out of shape I look, so now I'm gonna go anorexic the next 2 weeks.

| | Early PM: I went out to run an easy 5 but my achilles gave out about 2 miles in. I'm icing it right now so hopefully it will get somewhat better.
Later PM: Ran with Dawson and RJ after Institute. We only ran a couple of slow miles. So when I got home I ran a 5:30 mile down to my buddies house and just around some more.

| | I wanted to go on a easy 10 miler. I was feeling alright, I ran out to the Dixie Center and was looping it back when my achilles gave out. I was in a lot of pain and didn't want to run anymore, luckily my mom was driving home and saw me limping. So I got a ride home and didn't have to gimp on home.

| | I doubled socked my right foot for more comfort on my achilles and got out and ran an easy 3. My achilles is all swollen up again. My plan now is to test its limits tomorrow by going fast in a 5k but if its too painful I will stop. This will give me a taste of what the marathon will be like if my achilles doesn't get better.

| | I got out for an easy run just to see how things are feeling. I started out feeling alright, but my achilles started hurting again. I should probably not run the rest of the week.
