My brothers and I competed against my dad in the Bountiful Triathlon. I did the running, my bro Jake did the biking, and Justin did the Swimming. I wasn't feeling good at all and I started to have shin split problems. My dad worked us. He took 5th overall and we took 5th in the relay division. Thre were like 500 teams.

I ran around a little bit after my dad and I found our secret spot for the opening day of the deer hunt. My foot feels like its broken but I will just keep going on it.

Anyone know how to treat foot tendonitis? I'm pretty sure I have it.

I ran at around midnight this morning because I just felt I needed to get out in the rain. My foot is still jacked up but I'm just going to run through pain like I have with all my other injuries.

Got out on the marathon trail for the first time with my dad. We started at mile marker 18 and ran down to the church by where the St. George Running Center used to be. I felt pretty good until about 7 miles into it. My foot pain/tendonitis or whatever it is started hurting pretty bad. I felt the pain every step but I just grinded it out and finished the 14 miles.

After watching my boys dominate again at the Cedar meet I went and ran with my dad. We ran up New Harmony to Pinto road, the one currently by a huge fire. We ran 30 minutes uphill then ran back. I'm still having foot problems.

I broke in my new Hyper Speed 2's, feeling pretty good. I'm going to run in them for this Dixie College "beat the president 5k". They are scoring it like an XC race for people that have teams. Right now my team is My dad, me, bro. Jake, bro. Justin, Dawson, and B.Y. If we don't win, then its just embarressing.

I went and ran the "Beat the President 5k" that wasn't really a 5k at all. I started out in the lead because I always do that in smaller races. The legit runner David Smith took the lead and I was already done because I don't have speed for 5ks anymore. It turned out to be only 2.5 miles which was nice, but if it was a 5k I probably would have run a 18 minute. I took 5th overall behind David Smith, some Nino, My dad, Dahlson, then me. I guess my team won.

PM: Got out and ran 4 miles way late at night.

I ran a 6 mile loop in the heat. Saw the PV boys doing there D.I. warm-up. I'm glad I was able to run 6 in the heat because I have only been able to run like 3 or 4.

I prepared all day to run this long because I was worried about if I could even last it. I got and out and felt alright at first but I just kept tightning up everywhere and my achilles was hurting. It was a really brutal run.

Race: Bryce Canyon 5 miler (5 Miles) 00:31:01, Place overall: 2, Place in age division: 2
Total Distance

Got to Bryce Canyon after killing a deer (by truck) the night before. I didn't know how this race was going to play out because I was feeling terrible before it. I wore my dads St. George Running Center shirt because he wasn't going to. The gun went off and I took the lead first thing. It ended being really a 2 man race between me and this high schooler. I hated the altitude, uphill and everything about this race except for the fact that it was shorter than 5 miles. So I finished 2nd overall, something I haven't done yet for a road race.

time: 31:01.3 (6:12 min/mi)

PM: I got out really late because I wanted to reach 30+ miles per week now.

Its all starting to come back. I had no complaints with injuries today. I went back to my roots got PV kids there wasatch batons and listened to Coach give one of his inspiring speeches. He got me inspired to run better and I'm not even on his team. Now I just need to do all the little things.
