| | I was feeling pretty tired all day because of my Havasu trip. I finally got out at about midnight, which technically would be sunday and ran around my neighborhood. I didn't want to do a long ol distance run so I ran 3 at a decent pace. I thought I was going faster than I really was.

AM: I showed up to practice at about 6:55 and no one was showing up. So at about 7 I realized that we changed practice to 8. I started to leave, but a lot of other people started showing up. So a bunch of us did our own practice. Me, Monty, Kimzey, and Willis ran a 6 miler. We stopped at Pine view to find coach, no luck. 6.1 miles
PM: Ran with my Pops, or should I say the Dixie State Cross Country Coach. We ran at a real decent pace. 3.3 miles

| | AM: Ran Chuck-a-Rama with the team then 8 striders with Willy. Willy and I are already way tired this week. 5.6 miles(counting warm-up).
PM: I missed the afternoon practice with the team because I was working on my eagle project from 10 until about 5:30. It sucked way hard core! So I was exhausted from tearing down a fence all day then I ran 4 with my dad, he worked me. It was in the rain so it was kind of fun. 4 miles time: 28.27

Hurricane Invite (3 Miles) 00:17:36, Place overall: 25, Place in age division: 8 | | Wow! Our team won! What a good race! I PR'd by more than a minute from last year. I felt pretty good but I need to be more mentally strong and finish stronger. 3 Hurricane kids beat me in like the last 10 meters. Dawson beat me, what a freak! I was happy with this race despite the fact that I finished 8th on the team and may not be on varsity next time. I'm so excited though because our team has improved so much. Last year I would have finished 3rd on the team with the time I got today.

PM: We did 7 Firestation hills. I don't know if I am going to survive this year, I already have tons of homework and crap. I just want to run without school like in the summer. DANG SCHOOL! It won't be me who decides if I survive this year though. T.A. (Team Assassinator) has me on his list so I guess we will see what happens.

PM: Easy Dog pound run. Totally almost ran over this scorpion, luckily it was dead. I think the T.A. set it out to kill me, but the heat killed the scorpion first. 8 striders after.

SUU Invitational (Team Place: 2) (3 Miles) 00:18:45, Place overall: 41, Place in age division: 10 | | I felt tired as soon as the race started! My legs didn't want to move, and I just didn't have the positive attitude today. I'm still positive that I will get better though. I think I just need to take it easier on the days before a race so I can have more energy, "more spring in my step". Jeff sent a letter and he gave me some inspirational things to think about.

PM: Speed Work: 4 Sets of 200, 300, 400, with equal jog in between. I wasn't sure if we were supposed to take a break between sets or what. I did all 4 sets withoug any breaks, it was pretty tiring. I didn't have the best speed day.

Cedar (Team Place: 1) (3 Miles) 00:17:58, Place overall: 29, Place in age division: 9 | | I was having bad stomach problems, but I felt that I still pushed hard throughout the whole race. I know I can run faster and I will need to if I want to reach my personal goals. I love how competitive our team is, its fun to watch everyone on our team run.

| | Ran up the "Black Hill" or "Ice House" from Zabriskies. This rocky, piece of crap hill kicked my butt in the summer so I had to redeem myself. I totally did, and ran a mile more once I got to the top. I ran back down and home, it was a longer run than I expected. I ran pretty well throughout the whole thing, and some guy on a scouter called me coach.
