PRACTICE RACE (make-up for Kearns) (0.5 Miles) 00:02:23, Place overall: 1, Place in age division: 1 | | This wasn't a real real race, but we were supposed to run it like one. I ran the 800 in the crappy wind while pretty much everyone else ran the 1600. I won for the 800, and felt horrible after (combination of allergies and not stretching enough). I felt good that I ran hard atleast.
time: 2.23

| | I ran from my house to the Springs. Then I moved my way into the fields. I checked out the little kids water park and went through a jungle of tamarisks to get across the virgin River. Once I got across it was a easy run home. I ran pretty fast for the first couple of miles. I bet my first 4 miles were all probably under 7 or close to it.

Region at Snow Canyon (0.5 Miles) 00:02:16, Place overall: 3, Place in age division: 3 | | 1600:
I should have ran faster on each lap. PR for the mile this year but I am still not happy with it.
splits: 1. 1.15, 2. 1.22, 3. 1.25, 4. 1.16 total time: 5:19
800:
I got boxed in early and started out slower then I wanted. I ran a 1.08 first 400, and I knew I had to kick hard to even get close to the time I wanted. I ran about the same split for my second lap. I passed a lot of kids on the second lap and finished right behind Willy. I am mad that I didn't PR but I am glad that I ran even splits. I just need to bring both times down on each lap. I did PR for this year in the 800 though. I was the 5th fastest PV 800 guy behind GOOLD, Cowboy, Austin, and Willy.
200 splits: 33, 35.2, 34.8, 34
time: 2.16.9
REGION CHAMPS!

| | I wanted to run in Cottondays this morning, but I didn't want to run it by myself. So I decided to start my week break today. Then get ready for Wasatch.

| | Run from Kiwanis Park to the Y on that mountain. It was my dads idea, I didn't want to do it. It was a nice reminder of how much running sucks. I took a week off and the first day back I run up a freaking mountain. I actually didn't run that much of it, but it was a good workout. I saw a snake too, it was so sweet!
Congrats Ruth! Mile Champ!

| | Still in Provo watching the track meet. Saw a photographer get nailed in the knee by a javelin, it made an hour delay.
My dad and I ran up to the Y again only this time we started from the track. I ran a lot more on the actual trail this time. I was so dead after, then I had to run it down hill. After this we ran on the indoor track at BYU for a little bit and took a shower in the Locker Room.
Congrats to Goold for taking 6th in 800.
The whole javelin thing made the track meet fun.

| | I broke in my new running shoes. Ran a mile on my treadmill, then 2 around my neighborhood. Lifted after running.

| | Ran up to Angels Landing with my brother and my dad. Saw Mike and Erika Schram on the way up. Once we got to the top of Walters Wiggles. My dad wanted to run up it a couple of more times. I ran up it a total of 3 times. The first I didn't run all of it. 2nd time: 1.33, 3rd time: 1.27. Ran all the way back from the Angels Landing. It was way tough on the way up, way fun on the way down.

| | I ran the Sunrise Hill run from my house. I felt pretty good, my new shoes aren't airy enough though. Both times I have ran with them they seem more hot than usual. I am going to try and incorporate hilly runs, like today, to get ready for Wasatch.

| | WASATCH PRACTICE- We had a pretty good turn out tonight. My dad, Corey, Nathan, Willis, FRE, Ruth, Steve O, Ellsworth, Baby Cakes, Sierra, Chandis, and Ashley all showed. 6 miler around on the bike trails in Bloomington Hills area. I started out really slow with Steve O, and talked about him being dumb for going to the new school. Eventually he ran back home. I hauled butt to catch up to Ruth and ran with her most of the way back to the church.
6.25 distance
time: 44:43
