| | Ran 8 miles. Started at 5:50 am, was going to run horse corner/exhaust up my nose loop. Had a bad feeling so I turned around and ran the 3 mile out and back loop I had been doing last week. Added in a couple more miles just because I feel really okay. | Comments(6) |
| | Awwwe there it is, 7!!!!!!!!! 4.5 miles, then 1 min on offs for 2 miles (6:22 pace). Half mile cool down jog. Not superb but I'll take it. Now let's hope Kam doesn't find out, or I may get the shaft for speed work yikes! | Comments(4) |

Slept "in" until 5:45. Heeeey now, if you know me, you know that IS sleeping in! I ran my same old out 3 miles out, then back. I did a few pick ups in the last 2 miles hitting a nice 6:40 pace. Sang out loud in the dark, spit a lot. You know, my usual running behavior :) When I got back to my street I decided to do some sympathy backwards running for Andrea. She is right, it is HARD! Definitely taxed me. I did it for half mile down Spanish Fields drive, and half mile back. Spent. Today is my Birthday and one of my lovely best friends (Kira) already brought me a piece of delicious Chocolate cake. A neighbor just dropped by some chocolate. OMG I am going to be bloated girl tomorrow once this day is done.

| | 6 miles with Julie! :) Then we ran 1 mile backwards down spanish fields drive again. It's honestly a sympathy run for Andrea. But now I am discovering there is a benefit to it! It made me sore yesterday. Sore=doing something physically. Holy moley! | Comments(3) |
| | 7 mile river trail run with Rachelle and Merri. Cold, but beautiful and chatty run. Loved it. My Garmin died so I have no idea our avg pace. I love running with people mucho better. | Comments(3) |
| | Ran 6 on the dreadmill. 3 mile slow pace then 3 mile tempo 6:40 pace. I thought about leaving out the fact that I ran a quicker pace, but I got busted by Rachelle doing so, and I busted her getting on a dreadmill. So were both busted and neither one of us can lie :)

No running, I felt like my shins on both legs were hurting a little yesterday. Shame shame on me for doing a tempo yesterday. My legs just aren't ready for that stuff yet. So now to simmer on down! Tons of random strength training. Then 55 minutes ellitpical hell. It's not to bad when you have good tunes on your ipod an entertainment on the treadmills in front of you. Some guy was doing the wave to his music (while running) the cross (hand to your forehead-navel, then across each shoulder) He's WEIRD! I took a couple of pictures of him to show my husband. To bad I can't post them here. Everyone would get a laugh. Gym is...hmmmm...... ha ha!

| | Ran 4, then met back up in my hood to meet Merri and a couple of other girls. Did a few circle around loops, still didn't see anyone. So I left, and ran up to horse corner and back. 7 miles total. 8:06 avg pace. | Comments(5) |
| | ran 9. the first 5 miles were slower, then i picked up the pace for the last 3 miles. i felt strong today! | Comments(2) |
| | Just taking a break today from running. So I did 30 min of strength training, including core. Then 52 min elliptical. Caught my husband at the store getting donuts, so I got one too! ha! | Comments(1) |
| | Ran 6 miles. First 3 were progressive. Last 3 were a 6:40 pace, the last .15 of each mile, I would slow down to a 8 min pace and recover for a couple minutes. Then back to a 6:40. Worked me over. I am feeling stronger as each week passes. | Comments(2) |
| | Ran 6 at 5:30. Right calf hurt a bit afterwards. I will probably x-train the rest of the week :/ | Comments(8) |

5.3 miles outside. zero calf pain. My legs are just playing games on the days they randomly hurt.
I"m leaving to St. George Friday morning (family lives there). I'm running the Susan g Komen save a sister 5k down there. No expectations please, I don't really know what kind of kick these cute legs o mine have. but as always, I do my best.

Save a Sister (Susan G Komen) (3.1 Miles) 00:21:00, Place overall: 1, Place in age division: 1 | |
Ran the Susan G. Komen Save a Sister race down in St. George. It was all in good fun. I didn't expect to do anything exciting. I knew coming down here that I was mainly here to visit my parents and Sister and her family. I am not in tip top shape at all. I think I stopped running from shin splints in the beginning of August, and didn't pick back up until Sept 10thish? But I had no idea this course was going to be such a challenge. I didn't eat anything, or drink and forgot my Garmin. This course was so hilly. I think maybe 1 downhill and the rest was hills and a little flat during certain parts. Definitely tested my lungs and leg turnovers and my mind. I was dying in the last mile. It was a little frustrating not having a watch on to see how bad I was dying. But everything was big hills! I still maintained a 6:44 on hills. So I don't feel to bad about this. Saw cute Amber Green on a corner in the first quarter mile. She had her cute boys with her :) Some younger teen kid in front of me accidentally mixed up his chip with his 38 yr old Mother. At first it showed she won (he I mean haha) but after I told the timing guys that there were no ladies ahead of me, they realized it was a chip mix up. Merri ran it today too. 22 weeks pregnant. I'm impressed! Won gift certificate to the St. George running center. Yippy! I have a lot of aerobic fitness I need to gain back before Boston (sigh) It's all my shins fault! 4 miles cool down on the Virgin river trail.

| | 40 minutes on the elliptical, and ran 6 miles. Did 8 pick ups at a 6:40 pace. Lot's of sweat! | Comments(8) |
| | Ran 6.25 on the dreadmill -o- fun. I could tell my legs were a little fatigued from yesterdays repeats. 26 minutes of elliptical hell, or helliptical, whichever you prefer my running friends! | Comments(11) |

I'm not running any races until January. (weeell maybe the Santa run) So I feel zero need to run everday. Majority of days is good, but the chance to torture myself on elliptical hell is just going to happen each week. It helps keep great aerobic fitness, so i can't diss it to hard. Today: 1 hr elliptical hell. walked 2 miles with Julie. Trail run next week with one of my favorire blog peeople. Jun!

| | 5 miserable miles on the dreadmill. I had NO ENERGY. I kept looking over at my friend Julie and giving her I'm dying help me signals. pfffftttt! She and I and Kira got on the ellipticals after running and chatted, where I continued to fizzle and die in fatigue mode. I then realized that I didn't eat enough yesterday. Call me el stupido! Julie was funny this morning. I wish I could record things sometimes... | Comments(4) |

8 mile progression till mile 5. then 1/2 mile repeats @6:35 pace with .25 recovery in between. HARD holding a 6:35, especially on a darn dreadmill!
I'm at the gym now on elliptical hell next to Frankenstein! His mouth is hanging open, moaning and groaning and everything. I kinda want to puke. It doesn't get anymore side show than this!

Ran 2 miles up the river trail. Oh my, the river trail is so beautiful right now. So beautiful. Amazing. Anyway, then 2 miles back down. About a quarter mile from home a dog came after me, and I hosed it with my pepper spray. It turned around and ran. I felt kind of bad, but it was not stopping and snarling its teeth at me. I let it get about 3 ft from me before I sprayed him. I don't like doing that, but I had no choice. I am not going to let myself get bit. ahhh well. Look at the Trail!!!!!!!!!!

35 min ellitpical hell. Ran 5.25 miles, progression. 6:30 picks ups for the last 15 ish minutes. Forgot to mention this in yesterdays post, but I feel like I've had fitness gains. My avg pace is dropping and feels easier. I feel good about this. Also, see yesterdays entry for pictures of my river trail. So pretty! I forgot to mention the family that was in their garage across the street yesterday morning, as I hosed down the dog with my pepper spray. They were all stopped dead in their tracks staring at me and the dog. Like zombies. Thanks for nothing, I could have used some help.

I had a great early morning run with Jun a.k.a. Craigolas. We ran the BST in Draper. (Ann's trail) Running that trail in the dark was a little spooky. Just in time for Halloween I guess. The bigger moon looked spectacular. We kept our pace mellow, mostly chatting away and tripping on rocks. The more we talked, the more we tripped. I had a blast. Going to try and run it in the midday later this week. That trail is really fun and beautifully covered in leaves. Love fall runs! Thanks Jun!

Not that Anns trail is steep vert running, but I am sooooo not used to even the little bit of hilliness to it. My calves are a little sore. So I gave my legs a less strenuous workout today and elliptical helled my life away for an hour and 10 minutes. Torture. Can't wait to run outside tomorrow. Weights?? Do I do that anymore? | Comments(3) |
