Gotta love getting rid of the 'mommy gut' any way you can! :) I hear ya on the soft-ness. That is why I try to incorporate lifting at least 2-3X/week. Swim and bike both also build muscle, unlike running that depletes lean muscle mass. So, x-training can help too.

Mom gut, ha ha Rachel! I do a lot of x-train for the most part in my workouts (sans this last week). I am not a fan of swimming though. But you know I am always strength training so it's all good right?

Way to go, Lily!!! I have gotten so fat this year, it's embarrassing. I just peaked at 200 lbs. Up 25 lbs from a year and a half ago and up 6 lbs from just a month ago. I have my winter training plan in place and I'm going to stick do it, no matter what. It starts a week after St. George. Just don't let me sign up for any races between now and next spring, except for some 5k's. I have this plan every year and then I ruin it by signing up for a bunch of races and the plan goes out the window. lol
