Hiked Timp today.  Round trip of the hike is about 16 miles, so I counted it as 6 running miles.  Started at 1:30 am, reached the summit around 5:30.  Nice hike, my foot with PF is killing!  I can barely walk.

What I did last weekend really helped my run today.  I love Sundays, they give my body a rejuvenating rest day.  10.6 miles AP 7:46.  I wish every running day felt like today's running day.

Met the BBK's today at Bingham High for a speed workout.  I know why they are called "BBK's ," they sure live up to that name!  I was a little late, so I did 2 warm-up miles on my own, and then met the pack at the track.  I did 800 repeats 3 miles worth.  Then we did 2 sets of  2 mile tempo miles, HOORAH!  Then a nice 1 mile cool down.  

I am not used to pushing myself like I did today.  I need to meet with these fast, talented, and amazing runners again.  To tell you the truth, I have always been a little scared to run with these fast people.  So happy I went! :) AP 7:48.  I'm too lazy to look at my split times. 

Came home and did a 1 hour spin class.  Felt nice to get those legs movin'.

BBK's gave me a great workout idea for today.  I did not meet with them, but I did the workout on my own.  3 5k's.  I did my own version on the workout, not such a B-kicking way to do it.

1.5 miles warmup

3.1 Fast 5k.  22 minutes.  Saw Smooth, stopped and talked to her.  She looked adorable in what she calls her "orange cream-sickle running outfit."

3.1 23 minutes 5k.

Rest jog amd a mile cool down.

This was a great workout, I might do it again.

PM run tonight with a friend.  I hope he runs slow, the legs are wasted.

  Drove a mile away from the start of the P-half marathon.   Ran uphill 1 mile for a warm-up with some friends I met a few days ago. 

Goal for the race 1:35.  Last year I ran this race and I ended with a 1:44.  I thought I was expecting too much of myself.  Goal was to maintain 7:20 mm. 

Splits:  6:49, 6:40, 6:48, 6,40, 7:12, 6:57, 7:22, 7:32, 7:14, 6:59, 7,19, 7:07, 7:19, .35.  AP:7:04. 

Felt really good about this race. :)

I love the BBK's!!!  They motivate, push, and strengthen me.  2.8 miles warm-up, 5 miles hill repeats, 2 mile tempo repeat, and a cool down.  

I think the Parkway Palliside road is specifically designed for hill repeats.  I also wonder what that neighborhood thinks as a dozen or so runners invades their road once a week running up and down the street several times.  I  feel bad for the designated "water stop" house.  Good times.  For sure I want to do this workout again.  

Maybe Xtraining tonight.  The conference in SLC has been killing me, I hate sitting in 6 hour meetings all day.   Thank goodness it's over.

Ab class

5 more mile on TM with tread class.  There was a girl next to me that I was being a little too competitive with.  I had to remind myself that these were suppose to be EASY miles. 

I registered for TOU marathon today, I am official.... No SGM for me :(

45 minutes of weights.  A lady at the gym stopped and asked me if she saw me that morning.  I replied, "yes that was me, and yes I am crazy."  Then she asked, "Oh I see, you must be a runner."  I nodded, laughed, and was happy that I had earned the title of "runner." 

1 hour power yoga.  I think it wasted my legs for my Thursday run.

Slow and painful is all I have to say... I really don't want to go into the dreadful details of this run.  My feet starting hurting at mile 2, everything else felt fine.  No energy, hot, tired, and the list goes on and on... I felt like I falling apart.  Great motivation for the coming weeks!  Speaking of motivation, guess what the motivation of this run was?  I asked myself what sounded really good, that I would treat myself to when I got home.  DIET COKE was the answer.  I NEVER drink that stuff!  Sure enough, I came home and got a Diet Coke and yes, it was sooooo delicious. 

ICE BATH. 

Got it done!  I'm going to Lake Powell this weekend and those miles are OUT OF THE WAY!  

Maybe I will do some light Xtraining tonight.

TM miles.  It felt really nice to get my pace getting up to speed again.  Big mile week, most I have ever ran in a week.  I'm not tired, I feel like I can go and run another 5 tonight.  Hmmmmm

Evening bike ride up Suncrest, it was beautiful!  I need to get on my bike at least three times next week.  Climbing the hills on the bike will help my turn over rate as I run.

I only went 5 because I could feel a small pain on the top of my foot.  I might go back out today if the pain goes away.  I don't know if it's a small SF, (better not be!) or if it's from picking marbles up with my toes yesterday.

BBK DAY!

2.5 warm up miles by myself.

Hill repeats with the group.  So fun to see the fast runners pass me (motivation), and hear encouraging words along the way.  We ran around a cemetery 10 times, no joke!  These repeats were suppose to be at a 5k tempo, I don't think I was pulling that off.  HARD breathing effort.  I need the BBK's in my life, as well as more spinning classes to make hills easier.  

Finished the day off with 2 miles @ marathon pace.  My 2 miles were not at what I want my marathon pace to be...

Thanks BBK's, this was a fantastic and fun workout! No more running for the day, yay!  My body is starting to slow down.  I hate taking it 'easy,' but it's very necessary.

23 some odd miles at the Park City Marathon.  I used this course as my long run.  Very relaxing, low-key, beautiful, and ENJOYABLE time!  I loved every minute of this training run.  Going up an incline the first 18 or so miles felt really comfortable.  I went REALLY slow.  

By the end of the race I pulled 5, 7:30 pace miles :)

This was by far the most fun I have ever had on a long run.  I stayed with Smooth, and RAD for a few miles, and those ladies were looking strong.  Beautiful day, just simply a day I remember WHY I LOVE TO RUN!!! 

Thanks Smooth for letting us stay at your condo ;).  I know that Pres. is not on the blog, but he deserves a shout out for being the best "fan." 

RAD, you did an awesome job on your second marathon!

BBK DAY!!!  I love that this group continues to motivate me every time I run with them The runners in the group had AMAZING times at Hobble Creek Half last weekend, and it was exciting to hear how well they did.

1 mile warm-up with Scott and Jullie(I think).  Met the rest of the group at 5:30 for a 3 mile slow run.

5 miles at a pickup pace through Riverton rolling hills.  I got myself lost because I never listen to the directions of the run.  Oh well, made it back in one piece.  1 mile cool down, and then off to work!

Running makes me feel so good.  :)

Pain is good, but extreme pain is extremely good. :)  (yeah right)

Suncrest evening bike ride.  I went with my friend and he only has a mountain bike, I felt really bad for him.  The pace was slow tonight, but it felt really good.  The last steep incline I pumped my legs and gave a nice sprint.  (I had to be beat some guy that was by me).  Nice to bike with a buddy.

TM workout that about killed my stomach.  Evening runs are difficult for me because I don't run on an empty stomach.  I ran 4 hours ago and my belly is still upset.  

About that TM workout... tempo speed sets.  Timed pyrimad speed repeats. I am actually getting better at these.

Not so into the running thing today.  Last night my stomach was really upset and today I have just felt tired and lost.  Lack of focus big time. 

I did make it to the gym to do 5 miles on the TM.  IT was suppose to be 10, but I could just not push any more miles out of me.  Finished with a nice arm workout.  

TIRED, a little STRESSED, and when will training thing be over?!?!?

Nutrition on the poor side. :(  Not junk food, just lack of appetite.

I came to this race ultimately wanting a 1:30,  I would be pleased if I got a 1:35.  I was pleased, but not impressed with myself with my performance today.  When I ran across the finish, the clock read 1:33:40, so I am a little confused with the system.  I don't know if they went off of gun time or what?  20 seconds is a big deal to me, and take away about 5 seconds for waiting to cross the start line.   

I wasn't planning to race TOU half until Thursday evening, so I haven't been mentally preparing to race this week.  I have had a challenging week... new job, waking up at 5 to run everyday, feeling pretty ill mid-week.  The list goes on and on with excuses, but excuses are meant to be left at the door on race day. 

Drove up to Logan and stayed with friend Sarah that is a runner herself.  Slept on a cumfy couch with a loud fan blowing all night.  I am planning to stay at the same place for the marathon, so I wanted to get used to it a little. 

Woke up at 5, got to the race at 5:35 and registered. 

Start line 1.5 mile warm up.  It was fun to see some of the elite runners warming up. 

The race...  I went out WAY too fast!!!  When I was running by Allie (from the blog), I knew I needed to slow it down.  I was anxious, I wanted to test the waters and feel the flow of the course. 

Splits:  6:20,6:52, 6:50, 6:27, 6:40, 6:37, 6:37, 7:09, 7:13, 7:52, 7:40, 8:31? (eek!), 7:19. AP:somewhere around 7:10 mm, I forgot.  The goal was a 7:00 mm.

I really struggled at the end.  ANYONE that has advice for this marathon course, please give it!  I ran the TOU marathon last year and I completely ran out of gas by the end due to the turns and uphill miles at the end.  I want to PR so dang bad it hurts!  I also want to pull between a 3:20-3:25!  Is this possible? My goal pace is a 7:40.
