Met the BBK's today at Bingham High for a speed workout.  I know why they are called "BBK's ," they sure live up to that name!  I was a little late, so I did 2 warm-up miles on my own, and then met the pack at the track.  I did 800 repeats 3 miles worth.  Then we did 2 sets of  2 mile tempo miles, HOORAH!  Then a nice 1 mile cool down.

I am not used to pushing myself like I did today.  I need to meet with these fast, talented, and amazing runners again.  To tell you the truth, I have always been a little scared to run with these fast people.  So happy I went! :) AP 7:48.  I'm too lazy to look at my split times.

Came home and did a 1 hour spin class.  Felt nice to get those legs movin'.

Great pace and great mileage! I wish I had a group of BBK-ers here! It helps so much to run with other speedy people. Good job

Thanks Allie and Leandra! Leandra, it really does help to be able to run in the dark with really motivating runners.

Yes, I agree Meri! Do you know of any speedsters in Utah County? (Besides you, I live in Lehi, SF is too far away).

From RAD on Tue, Aug 04, 2009 at 14:20:46 from 76.27.12.70

Becca you did an AWESOME job today! You were keeping up with the best of 'em!! I'm impressed with spin afterward - I guess if you're up you might as well! :) I wasn't, I went home and went back to bed!

From Teena on Tue, Aug 04, 2009 at 14:48:28 from 67.177.20.13

Becca ...

They scare me too ...

Nice job!

RAD,

Thank you! You did a fantastic job today as well, no matter what you say!

Teena,

They are diehards, that is for sure. You should come back to the group, I know YOU would fit in!

From Teena on Tue, Aug 04, 2009 at 15:51:14 from 67.177.20.13

No way am I coming back!! They kill me!!! :)

(not yet at least ...)

From Peggy on Tue, Aug 04, 2009 at 16:34:31 from 71.213.2.244

I'm glad you made it back to our group today. I know you have quite a drive to get there. You looked great!

From Peggy on Tue, Aug 04, 2009 at 16:35:07 from 71.213.2.244

P.S. - Teena, we're not scary! We're fun!

From Teena on Tue, Aug 04, 2009 at 16:37:51 from 67.177.20.13

Peggy ... you are VERY fun and VERY fast and VERY diehard!!! :)

But I just love and admire you to pieces!!! You know that!!

From Kelli on Tue, Aug 04, 2009 at 17:16:01 from 71.219.100.174

Teena, you would be at the FRONT of the pack with they way you have been running. I dare you to come back and see!!! In fact, I TRIPLE dog dare you!

Bec, it was great to see you and try to catch you, even though I was slow on figuring out who you were! I did not even notice you until the 2 mile tempo, I think my brain was elsewhere today---in a happy place! But they are an awesome group of people for sure!

I can not believe you went and did spin for an hour, I was DEAD!

From Bec on Tue, Aug 04, 2009 at 17:36:12 from 67.177.35.60

Peggy,

Thank you so much as always. BBK's are an extremely MOTIVATING group of where I want to be. It's nice to know that there are "Diehards" out there.

Teena,

I agree with Kelli, get back to the group! That would be fun to see you. I would say I would talk to you, but all I would be able to do is huff and puff.

Kelli,

Sorry I didn't say anything, I was trying to stay in the "zone" of that group. I didn't really see you until that 2 mile tempo, and you looked good! I was impressed with everyone there. Dang they haul.

From Smooth on Tue, Aug 04, 2009 at 22:21:06 from 71.32.234.135

AWESOME workout with the BBKs and then spin class afterward? YOU ARE a true blue DIEHARD!!! and SO VERY SPEEDY!!!

From cheryl on Wed, Aug 05, 2009 at 01:01:56 from 76.27.66.153

I'm with Kelli, I saw you and thought you looked familiar, but didn't place you as one of the ones who made it up Suncrest. You hold a special place in the annals of BBK running to have done that. I'm glad you joined us today. Next time I'll have to make sure to say hi.

From fonz on Wed, Aug 05, 2009 at 02:15:47 from 98.202.5.118

Wow. I'm not sure that I've *ever* run 10 miles for a workout or biked for a full hour.

You're *way* more triathlon-ready than I am. Awesome workout.
