1 mile run, weights, another 1 mile run.

Leg is feeling better today, it's been 5 weeks.  I bought a bike, hopefully it comes today. 

Another spinning class.  Got my heart rate up to about 92%.  I love spinning classes.

3 miles slow on the TM.

45 minutes of weights.  I suppose to go to spin class, but I couldn't put myself through that again today.  Went home and ran 3.4 miles around the block.  

Leg is feeling tight.  I can feel that there is still a snag feeling in the femur.  I had to run, I am now approaching 6 weeks with this injury. 

Went on a 6 mile hike....hmmm I am wiped out!

Went to the gym for a Zumba class!!!  Of my gosh, I just found a new love.  I am seriously thinking about becoming certified.  I didn't know you could shake your buns and get a great workout too!  So so so FUN!!!

I went on a nice evening run.  It has been six weeks, and there still is pain.  I need to slow down my runs and not put mileage on very quickly.  This is going to be a process.  One plus about the run is that the big hill I ran up has never been so easy.  It was still hard, but I kept a nice consistent speed the whole way up.  I think that is due to spin workouts! 

This morning at the gym I did a "pyramid" spin workout.  (Speed intervals).  Then I did 45 minutes of upper body weights.

Woke up with pain.  I feel like I am back at second base with this healing process, soooo FRUSTRATING!  I did not look at the time it took me last night to run my miles, but I think it was WAY too fast.  I felt so free and I wanted to run and run.  I over did myself :(  If I am not feeling it in two weeks, pretty sure my fall marathon will be off.  I am really sad, but that gives me more reason to train for a TRI.  I hope I can at least run 6 miles in 2 months relatively normal.  

Today I went to the gym lifted upper body for 45 minutes.

Spinning class:  Speed intervals again.  

20 minutes core strenghtening.

I will return later to the gym for more... (I have to compinsate for the running I don't do).  I returned for a 1 mile swim in the evening.

Leg is feeling better, but I am still not going to run on it.

5 am (really early) 1 hour spin class.  Really hard effort, I think the teacher wanted to show off!  I would too if I could spin that fast.  

1 hour pump class.  The teacher drove me crazy. 

More than a 1 mile swim in the evening.  I worked on breath.  I almost died.  No, not really.

Saturday!!!  I have had so much fun reading everyone's blogs about the UVM.  Sounds like everyone did a fantastic job, congrats!

Today I did a spin class, followed by a fourty minute bike ride.  Oh my heavens, it is sooooo fun!!!  Going down hills is a little frightening, but so terrific!  I love passing tons of runners! 

I went to NUTTY PUTTY caves today with some friends.  Oh goodness, I look like a war-victim.  So many bruises and scrapes.  Way cool place though, can't wait to go back!

Spinning class bright and early.  Saw Jeff L from the blog there!  

1 hour of strengthening.  I did 200 push-ups today!!!  4 sets of 25, and 10 sets of 10.  Pretty shakey by the end of the sets, my form was falling apart too.  At least I did them right?

9 mile bike ride.  Everyday I get more used to the bike. Lovin' it!

Spin class at 5 am.  That man didn't kick my trash as bad as last week.  But he did get on the floor half way through the class and do a 2 minutes series of push-ups.  Yeah, maybe Ill do that next week.

No spinning class teacher at the gym this morning!  I decided that I would do my own workout.  There were other ladies wondering what was going on, so I plugged my Ipod in, and we started pedaling away.  They all dropped out within 45 minutes.  I kept pedaling for another 45.  One hour and thirty minutes on the bike.

Spinning class: 1 hour, worked on hill efforts. 

6 miles on the TM.  No pain HOORAY!  I will wait for tonight, that is when the pain usually sets in. I was so happy to get those miles in today.  Xtraining is paying off.  I felt really good the whole 6 miles, and that was after sustaining my heart rate in the 170's in spinning.  

I got a new job today!!  I won't have to be teaching in Vernal anymore!

This morning I did 1 hour strength training.  Shoulders were the area of focus.  I love how you focus on one area of the body to work and you think you will be so sore the next day, but you never are.  I don't know if that is a good or bad thing.

Arts conference all day.

2 hour bike ride.  Race up to Suncrest!  (I went faster than I did on Saturday).  Then I rode for another hour.

ARTS conference.  Dancing for 3 hours. Dancing makes me so tired.  I could feel the pain in my leg coming back after all of the jumping we were doing in the dance class.

Rode the bike up Suncrest and came down the Draper side.  The wind was blowing me over on the way down and I got really scared.   I rode around the Point of the Mountain on the way back.  I am now freezing and covered in mud.  

Test run 3.5 at a 7:30 pace.  Hopefully I can pull 7's tomorrow.

Yay for the 5k to be over and done with!  My quads are really tired for some reason.  Now that the cardiac arrest is over, I can try to relax for the rest of the day.  

It was a good race, I actually stopped and walked :).  My quads were not in running gear.  I don't know if it was because I haven't really run for 8 weeks, or if it was because of the mountain I climbed on my bike yesterday.

5k's are really challenging for me.  I still have the goal to do a 5k 20 mintues, or under.  I am planning to do a few more this summer because they send me into such a running shock.  Next time I will try to train for it.  Leg pain was at about a 1, but as the day goes on, I can feel the pain more.
