Yay for the 5k to be over and done with!  My quads are really tired for some reason.  Now that the cardiac arrest is over, I can try to relax for the rest of the day.

It was a good race, I actually stopped and walked :).  My quads were not in running gear.  I don't know if it was because I haven't really run for 8 weeks, or if it was because of the mountain I climbed on my bike yesterday.

5k's are really challenging for me.  I still have the goal to do a 5k 20 mintues, or under.  I am planning to do a few more this summer because they send me into such a running shock.  Next time I will try to train for it.  Leg pain was at about a 1, but as the day goes on, I can feel the pain more.

Oh yeah Becca, its always hard to run after you bike. You did fine! Your getting back to it and you are rocking! good job girl, now get your base miles in and you can start some speed and tempo runs. Thats where youll get your times under 20 in a 5k. Be good.

Thank you Walter! I am looking forward to getting back into my old running routine and adding more speed.

21:32 with walking??? MAN ALIVE BEC!!! That is so fast, especially considering that you walked. I could never pull that off ... looks to me like you are in GREAT condition still.

VERY COOL!

You expect a ton out of yourself if you are disappointed with that time. I think it is AWESOME!!!!

U ready for this???

YYEEEEEEE--HHHAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!

See, you did GREAT! I seriously am wondering how fast those 3 ladies in front of you were, they must be total elite runners or something! You ROCK girl, I'm with everyone else to be in amazement at 21:32 with walking. Sorry those quads were giving you issues, next time have a crappy week and 'taper' like me, then you won't have sore quads :) Hope the pain lessens - NO MORE SF!!

BAAAHAHAHA! RAD, you crack me up! You speak like a true Lehite! That is what I was thinking when the race was over, YEEEEEE_HAAAAAAWW!! The girls in front of me were fast chicas. The chick that won was a BYU track girl, 19:00 was her time, that is pretty amazing. I have to break 20 min!!!!!!!!

From Smooth on Sun, Jun 28, 2009 at 23:19:30 from 70.56.102.53
