It's just too hot around here!!!!  Started running and at 2.5 I had to stop and walk... Just then Col. Peters (fast old running man) saw me in his car and pulled over.  He was laughing so hard at me and said, "I really like your pace, you sure are going fast!"  He is just full of sarcasm.  Anyway, at least I started running again after I saw him.

I got to the gym after 4 miles and I needed a drink.  I guess a big drink because I sat at the fountain gulping the water.  I was dripping everywhere, I was such a mess.  Ran 5 miles on a TM next to a mom I chatted with the whole time.  It felt so nice to run next to someone just talking about stuff, it made the time fly by a lot faster.

Ran 1 mile home and guzzled Gatorade until I had a massive belly ache.  Running doesn't feel to great as of lately.

Hahaha! I will try to race Peters. You would like him, he is always out to give other runners a hard time. I am praying that Utah won't be as hot. Seriously, I don't know how I will take the heat of that marathon. I might cry on the side of the road!

Awesome training in the TX heat! Peters sounds like a funny dude! :)

I saw your mom yesterday at the voting place. She was so funny when she told me what the plans were for when you come! She cracked me up! :D

You will ROCK DesNews! It will be barely in the 60s when you finish and claim your award! :) :) :)

Smooth, You just gave me a great laugh! It looks like Utah is having high temps lately too. DesNews is the beast from the West! I am just doing it so I can have a downhill marathon this year. You Utahn's are spoiled with downhill races. Don't know how well I will do with all of my FLAT training.

My mom is funny. She told me she had a dream she ran 3 miles. She woke up being energized for the rest of the day.

The heat is miserable and this summer has been worse than my two previous. Last summer was very dry, so it wasn't quite as bad.

I miss downhill racing, flat racing is a different beast. I do feel good that it is honest, I just feel that you never get a break.

Jody, I completely agree! It's flat, but it still seems just as hard as running uphill at altitude for some reason.
