10 a.m. 8 miles @ a 7:50 pace.  Beautiful weather and perfect temp!!!  Nice and easy eight.  Played "tempo tag"  with certain songs on my ipod.  (Ask questions if you are interested).  All 8 miles were on the canal trail.  I feel like the trail is a nice post-marathon recovery route.  From my house I went north, 1 mile past Cabela's and turned around.

Nice stretching followed by a hot bath.  I think my legs are still tired from TOU marathon.  I hope by next week there will be a little more speed in my legs.

Good luck to everyone running SGM!!!!!  I am so dang jealous, you have no idea.  I am journeying out to the Uintah Basin for a wedding this week. (BOOOOO)  I would so much rather be running the marathon.  I would take a marathon over a wedding any day!!!

Woke up at 5:45 a.m. due to a friend texting me from the start of the SG marathon.   They were a bit too excited to run 26.2 miles.  I told the person I would dedicate 10 miles to them.

I was staying in Bluebell Utah, which is basically 10 miles north and east of nothing.  I was staying at a lodge for my cousin's wedding.  I had spent hours the previous day helping the family set up the wedding.  The wedding was beautiful, but deep down I really wanted to be at the race.  Such is life.

I woke up, quickly got dressed and slipped away from the pink and yellow decorated cabin.  I ran 2 miles in a cow pasture hehehe.   This was new to me.  I was a little nervous to run through the cattle in order to make it to the road.  But I guess the cattle were more nervous than I was and just ran the other direction as I approached.  It was kind of fun running toward the cattle and watching them run in all different directions.  I would do it again.

I then ran 8 miles on country roads being passed by only 3 cars my entire run.  Beautiful scenery and perfect temps.  The run made me miss running in the Uintah Basin a little bit.

I was happy that I was at the wedding.  Believe it or not, family does come before running.  :)

IF I ever get married, running will FOR SURE be on the wedding day agenda. What an amazing way to clear your mind before such a chaotic day.

7 nice and easy miles in the wind.  8 mm pace.  Evening spinning class.  Volleyball with friends.

Tomorrow I might try some hill work.  Just haven't put my finger down on what hill to climb.

I had the most beautiful run today.  I lacked serious motivation before my run, but I am so so so happy that I did it.  I ran four mile up City Creek in Salt Lake, and four back down.  Great run.  AP 7:41

Maybe Yoga tonight.

Started my new serving job tonight.  All of the sudden my life is crazy!  I hate how that happens.  I don't know how long I will last at this restaurant.  The tips better be good.

SLC run.  I need to venture a little more in the city and run new routes.  My pace dropped 5 seconds from last time.  AP 7:33.  But I had also shortened the run by a mile, taking out a big hill.

The Supernova Adidas I wear are heavy, but my PF has really been feeling better lately. Come to think of it, my IT band has not as tight this week either. But I have not crossed trained AT ALL except for the miles of walking I do at work everynight.

I wanted to really hit some marathon pace miles today, so I threw in a 10k.  4 mile warmup at about 8mm.  10k was really difficult for me this morning.  The course was flat, and my legs felt really dead and tired.  I walked a total of 6 times!  5 and 10k distances are distances that I really need to work on.  I felt really strong in this race, but I mentally, and physically, I feel apart at the end.  I was happy about my time, for how I felt, but it needs some real improvement.  I have a zillion and one reasons why I didn't feel go today, but I would not want to bore anyone with that information.

I was a bandit during this race, and I held the two ladies in front of me for about 4 miles.  I don't even know what the time of the winning lady was.  It was fun to see Walter, some guy that runs with the BBK's (sorry I forgot your name), and a few of my friends from a relay I did. This race was laid back and really put together.

I am already thinking about what I wil be doing next week as far as workouts.  I really want a PR at my next race, (Mesquite marathon).

9.3 miles around Lehi/Highland in new shoes.  New Balance 1063's.  Let's see if these shoes won't give me PF problems like my Nike's.  They felt good today.

Heading to the gym to tone.

TM miles. Fast, quick paced with incline.  Too windy outside for me.

I saw Warren Miller's movie, DYNASTY!!  It was the coolest show I have ever seen!  Tickets to the movie are $18 and they include a pass to the Canyon's Ski Resort.  Totally worth it!

6 on the TM.  I can't believe myself, I am turning into a lazy bumb!  Today before my second job started I COMPLETELY talked myself out of the 10 mile run I had planned.  I felt guilty and after work I hit the gym for 6 miles.  At least I got 6 in, right?

I have a longer run planned tomorrow and it BETTER happen, or else!!!

New Balnace aren't making the PF feel that great, but I do like the shoes.

"I got it done!" Is all I have to say about this run. Icky, sicky, ticky run!  I have never felt this bad on a run for a long time.  Combination of bad food, lack of good rest, and unhealthy habits.  Last week I did so well....  Time to re-focus for the rest of the week!  I had to stop twice and use the bushes :(

I am taking a big fat "0" miles for the day.  This is unlike me, but I wanted to give my foot a little rest.  I went to a "Wellness Center" today.  They specialize in chiropractic care.  The main reason I went there is because they use a technique called "Graston Technique."  It is where they use stainless steal instruments to massage the tightness in the fascia ligaments.  I really am interested, but they made me go through a series of tests.  They told me my entire left side is weak, which I agree.  But they did not help me one bit with the problem with my foot.  I almost felt that this doctor was just trying to sale me on his clinic.  He kept asking me silly questions like, "You are 26?  Why aren't you married?"  And "You look like you lack energy, we have just the thing for you!"

I want to cure my plantar, but I really need to aleviate pain before I take 5 weeks to try and figure out how and why I am holding my posture incorrectly.  I am just frustrated with the whole thing.  Yes, I know that the plantar is caused by something else that is occuring in my running form.... But why couldn't he have just helped me with the pain?

Anyone with advice.... PLEASE GIVE IT!!

Early TM workout.  My foot had zero pain.  I think this is because I took the day off and also had a good night's sleep.  I will be back to the gym for more....

5 more miles at the gym tonight.  I went until my stomach was giving me issues.  Toning for about an hour on chore.

I feel sluggish and lazy.  I need to re-focus on eating better!

I didn't have to work to today so I tried to sleep in, but that really didn't happen.  Went down to the L center and took advantage of some of the fitness classes.  30 minute AB attack.  The teacher was in a full blown 80's exercise suit, SOO COOOL.  We listened to 80's music too!

TM class.  We worked from a base line for 50 minutes.  Stretched and a few more abs.

I am excited about the Halloween Half tomorrow.  My blasted foot better feel better, or else I will be donating it to someone!!

What a HALLOWEEN EXTRAVAGANZA!!  I had so much fun doing this race.  The race was a little poorly planned, but I think next year the race will improve.

Fri. evening I showed up to packet pick-up right at three so I could get a shirt that fit.  ( I knew they would run out).  But I guess I was too late because they were already out of lady shirts, dang!  No timing chips either.  I had a feeling that this race was going to be a mess.

Saturday morning I got on board a bus that was filled with FRB runners!  I was sitting by Rachel and Walter and didn't even know it.  I also talked to Jossi and Shelly a little bit, so fun to meet them.  The bus ride seemed like it took forever as we made our way up to Aspen Grove.  We jumped off the bus and made our way to the lodge where timing ships were distributed.  I love the fact that we were able to stay in this lodge before the race!  Such a great idea.  The race started an hour late, but I was actually okay with that due to the cold weather and good company!  I talked to Jeff L from the blog for a bit, and laughed at all the great people strutting their stuff in costume.

My Garmin thought I was indoors the entire race, so I have no idea what my splits were.  I was okay with that because I really wanted to race according to how I felt.  The first few miles were screaming downhill.  I felt good and of course I went out way too fast!

I knew it was cold when I drank water at the second water station and there was a layer of ice on the top.  BRRRR, my body is not used to the cold.  Miles 7-13, I really felt that I was running on my own, rarely would I see anyone that was running by me.  About mile 8 Jossi passed me, and I tried to stay with her.  By about mile 10 she pulled away.

I was little upset that this course was not marked at all.  I asked several volunteers what mile we were at, and they had no idea.  Once I asked a lady at an aid station what mile we were at, and she told me, "You only have a 5k left, you are at mile 9and a 1/2."  That didn't really add up in my mind.

I wanted to hit 1:30 so dang bad, but I missed it by one minute.  Oh well.  I felt that my overall effort was good, but I also am excited to see what next year has in store for me as far as PR's.  Must go faster.....

I loved hanging out with the bloggers at the end!  So fun to meet Jossi and Luzy Lew in her "Run away Bride" attire.  Such a great day.

*****Today is Sunday and I am SO STIFF!!!!  I have not felt this sore since my first marathon (5 years ago).  I don't know if it was due to the freezing cold, the screaming downhill, or a combination of both.  I am in pain.  I sure hope I heal in time for the marathon on Nov. 21st.
