Tired today.  Hit up Skinny Danny's spinning class.  I think he was tired too, he didn't seem his usual "chipper" self.  Therefore, the class was at my level.

1 hour of strength training for the chest.

I'm running a 5k on Saturday! (This might kill me).

Good luck at the race on Saturday!

From Kelli on Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 10:53:05 from 71.219.76.64

Good luck on your 5k! You will do fine. I am "running" my first 5k Saturday, too, and I am petrified of failure (that is why I always run them with my kids instead).

From Bec on Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 10:57:50 from 67.177.35.60

Kelli,

WHHAAAATT? You will do awesome at your 5k. Are you kidding me? You need to plan on winning it! I know you can pound out miles that are below 7 minutes. Don't be scared, just do what you do... RUN FAST!

From Kelli on Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 11:01:28 from 71.219.76.64

You are funny, really. It is in Herriman so it is a really hilly run. I have NEVER done a 5k for time, so I am not hoping for anything miraculous. If I can avg 7:30's I will be truly happy! 5k's freak me out!!! I am going to run to the race, so hopefully the little warm up will help me.

Anyway, enough about me. YOU WILL BE AWESOME this weekend!

From Bec on Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 11:07:48 from 67.177.35.60

BAHAHAHA!! Me do awesome? Yikes! After 8 weeks of Xtraining, we're going to put it to the test. 5k's freak me out too! Just thinking about it gets my heart-rate up. This is the only 5k I do per year, one is plenty. There is always such a "hype" over three miles. I usually roll over and die at the end. (I'm there for the raffle too).

You have nothing to worry about Miss Hill-climbing, speed machine! Take home the prize!

From Kelli on Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 13:08:43 from 71.219.76.64

I am sure there is not much of a prize or a raffle for that matter! I wish I had signed up to do the 10k, then Rachel and I could run together. I actually signed up to do this 5k last year, then slept in. I think it will be my one and only 5k ever! I just figured it was time to get it over with. I am sick about it, too. Hurry up Sunday, get here so Bec and i can sleep well!

From RAD on Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 13:14:22 from 67.166.99.8

You two are soooo funny!!! I think you'll both blow away the crowd in your 5K's, and I say that with absolutely NO reserve. Just pretend like its an 800 sprint, but a bit longer :) You'll both do GREAT!!! I can't wait to hear the reports and all the fun prizes won at raffles!!

From Smooth on Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 13:16:16 from 71.36.70.118

Bec,

You're gonna WIN this 5K, you know the course like the back of your hand. You can run this thing in your sleep. Go defend your title. I'm sad I won't be there to cheer you and watch you run. Have a great Roundup weekend. Are you going to the rodeo and dance? Larry said he (the Stake) paid lotsa money for the YSA and hope everyone has FUN!

From Bec on Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 17:08:46 from 67.177.35.60

Kelli,

Yes, Sunday please get here! Or at least 7:30 Saturday morning so we can be done thinking about 5ks. This thing has my stomach tied in knots.

RAD,

You crack me up! An 800 sprint? Oh boy, I am not one to do much of that, especially lately. I'll try my hardest to hit my 5k time last year. This 5k is for you RAD. It's the roundup 5k, need I say more? YEE-HAW!

Smooth,

Win? Yeah right! There are some fast ladies that come out to this race. I do know this course, but that doesn't mean I'm going to have running the darn thing. I am going to the rodeo, and maybe the dance. Lehi Rodeo is where it's at! I go the rodeo every year, I'm a Lehite!

From RAD on Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 17:54:32 from 67.166.99.8

LOL!!! I think its so funny, I've really adopted the YEE-HAAWWW yell here on FRB; however, I'm so far from country/hick its not even funny :) I live out in the boonies, but that's about it. I like my dedicated race - if I didn't have one Saturday I'd come YEE_HAAAW you on!!! Good luck girl and kick some butt!!

From Snoqualmie Ridge Runner on Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 17:59:09 from 70.56.90.30

Do you know Jaree Whipple?

From Bec on Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 18:01:20 from 67.177.35.60

Thanks RAD. I don't know if you'll be hearing too much yee-hawing from me. I'll probably be crying at mile one wondering, "why on earth did I sign up for this stupid race?" It's all for a good cause. I'll YEE-HAW for you and Kelli in my mind. You two need to win. Good thing you're not coming to the round-up race, you would flick the gravel up when you passed me!

From Bec on Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 18:02:42 from 67.177.35.60

Sno-

I don't know Jaree Whipple. Is he from Lehi too?

From Snoqualmie Ridge Runner on Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 18:12:24 from 70.56.90.30

Bec,

She was in dance at the U of U. Graduated this year. Just thought you might have crossed paths.

From Bec on Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 20:22:36 from 67.177.35.60

Sno,

No, I don't know her, but I will look for her in the future!

From Teena on Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 23:27:49 from 67.177.20.13

Be Careful on running a 5k. Youll do great but warm up good before and go up to Alta and Ill race you down! Dont lie about your times either. lol

From Bec on Fri, Jun 26, 2009 at 11:56:08 from 67.177.35.60

Walter,

Thanks for the warm-up advice. I don't think this will be an all out effort, so I'll have to lie about my time.

From Walter on Sat, Jun 27, 2009 at 01:21:49 from 76.27.15.208

Becca, hopefully you wont have any lurkers telling you your wroing. Good luck tomorrow! Im placing the 5 dollar extra fee they are charging you for the win!
