I went on a nice evening run.  It has been six weeks, and there still is pain.  I need to slow down my runs and not put mileage on very quickly.  This is going to be a process.  One plus about the run is that the big hill I ran up has never been so easy.  It was still hard, but I kept a nice consistent speed the whole way up.  I think that is due to spin workouts!

This morning at the gym I did a "pyramid" spin workout.  (Speed intervals).  Then I did 45 minutes of upper body weights.

You are back!!! Take care of yourself and all will be well. It is hard not to try to jump right back in, though, huh???

Where is your new picture from? What race? Love it---you look adorable. I love the skirt and the tank. I can not find a tank I like---I am on an endless search.

Kelli,

Thank you for the encouragement. I still have a long road of recovery ahead of me, such is life.

The pic is from Des News marathon in 07. The tank is from Target, and I love it! Problem is, I can't find any around either. There are some way cute tanks at the running store I work at, but WAY too expensive.

Nice run AND hills!! I'm sorry you still had pain though...take it easy, we don't want you out of commission again!

Which running store do you work at?

Are we going to zumba??? :)

RAD,

Yes, the leg is still in pain :(. BLAH BLAH BLAH, I just want to run!!!!!

I want to go to Zumba, so yes, let's go. I have to look at that schedule again.

Target has the best running stuff, but most of my favorites are OLD and they do not make them any more. When I look at the prices they charge in running stores it freaks me out. You can get better deals online BUT I never know what size to order. Looking cute while running is a JOB!!!

Heal well!

Kelli,

I completely agree, you have to look good while you're racing! Online stuff scares me too with their sizes. Ross and TJ Max are great places to look for "active wear."

It was so good to see you last night. You looked GREAT! Please please EASE back into it. For every mile you run easy, you double the miles you get to run in the future. We don't want any set back.

YAY for effortless HILL run! All that Xtraining shows.

That's a cool DesNews pic, cute running outfit. You looked darling. I ran that one too; not as cute as you were when I finished. Was that Riley in the pic?

Smooth,

I should have listened to you. I am just not ready to go as fast as I thought I was. From now on I will slow it down, that is if I get out and run.

It was so good to see you too. You looked fabulous, as usual, and I am happy that you are taking it easy.

That is not Riley in the pic, it's my friend Eric. That was an interesting race, pretty steep downhill in the beginning. I'm sure that you remember that crazy course!
