Leg 2- Felt paranoid that Mr. Hooper (or his teammate) were close so I ran smooth and hit some solid speed (for me). Actually really enjoyed this leg and the fact that it was shorter than advertised. 6 miles / 6:47 mi

Leg 4- I’ve run this leg like a million times so I just put on cruise control and rolled. Almost punched a lady’s car for pulling out to far at a gas station forcing me into traffic. 5.14 miles / 6:52 mi
7:11 (2024)
Leg 6- Started to feel tired but just kept the pace at low 7s. Kept leap frogging the same team over and over. They’d pass Ross on his leg then I’d repass them on my leg. Solid crew from SUU. 3.79 miles / 7:05 mi
7:15 (2024)
Leg 8- Historically the 4th leg is where my body has started to really slow down/cramp/hurt. I kind of expected it this year. I just tried to stayed positive and keep that pace consistent. Plus I had team #8 to pass again. 3.94 miles / 7:11 mi
7:20 (2024)
Leg 10- Started right off with team #8’s best runner. I let him go and just tried to run smooth. Legs definitely were ready to be done after 1.5-2 miles into this leg. Similar to the last miles of a marathon. Plus there was a huge hill that I didn’t even attempt to run. No cramping but felt dizzy and slowed down a ton. I knew I just had to make it to the dyke then I’d survive. Luckily I had Sam Fish and Quinton Read to help me get to the finish. I would’ve probably pushed harder but felt no paranoia knowing Ross and I had 2-Man locked up. Great race day! Tons of fun with SGSilverbacks and old DSU teammates. 6.86 miles / 8:20 mi

| | Found the Jordan River Trail and hit some miles. Wanted to mix in some speed but left hamstring was bugging so I just kept it under 8s. Tried befriending some stray 🐈⬛ 🐈 . Nice to get back to running after missing a Saturday run. 9.02 miles

| | Headed the opposite direction on the JRT. Made it to Taylorsville and had a dog sprinting at me. I was ready to throw hands/paws but it backed off. Picked up the pace on the trek back to West Jordan so I could pass a dude. Hamstring didn’t like the acceleration so I eased off. 9.01 miles

| | Didn’t get my run in yesterday. Luckily I got Derek Gallacher hitting some miles on Sundays. Fun time talking and running pretty smooth (for our standards). Ran Dixie Center out to the Newd river park and back looped through the Springs. 15.13 miles

| | Didn't get the classic Sunday Long Run.....not gonna throw out any names. Needed to get out for something, track meets and life getting in the way of my runs. I only had 40ish minutes before church so I did 15x1 minute pick ups to get a little more mileage by bringing that pace down. 5.5 miles

PM- Warm up with boys. Then 4 300s and 6 200s. Trailed the boys on the 300s then decided to modify my workout and be a rabbit for Bridger on some 200s. Ran an extra one trying to push with Em. Cool with girls. 7.59 miles

| | AM- Ran on my own, woke up late. Started on B Loop. Found some new neighborhood to run through. Hamstring still tight, but felt good yesterday. 3.37 miles
PM- No girls in most of the events at the DHJV Meet so I had time to run. Warm up with boys then extension on my own. 2.14 miles
PM2- Out towards B-Hills Golf Course with the girls. Got that good waer. Branched off with Em and Jordyn. Hit some tired strides. 5.73 miles

| | Did a modified garmin workout. It recommended 3x8:00 @6:55. I did that with 4 minute steady in between. Added a 7:00, 6:00, and 4:00 minute as well. Didn’t start watch until about .4 in the run. So solid 10+ run.

| | AM- Back for a monday morning run. Started with boys out past Outback then flipped with Miles, Nathan, and Nate. Saved the girls from getting hit by a car. A little with Em and Nico. Wrapped up with a little on my own. 5.62 miles
PM- Arch was bugging and hamstrings were sore. I even switched shoes a quarter mile in. Just hit some coach laps and called it good. Been running a lot so trying to go easy today. 3.12 miles
