| | Back in action! Ran an easy 2 with my Dad. Leg is feeling alright, I guess. I just need to drop the pounds. Love being back in Utah.
| | I ran a really really slow 5 with my bro Jake and my hopefully future sis-in-law. I want to go faster but I think it is better at this point to get more milage in, even if I have to go extremely slow. |
| | Another easy 2 and football with buddies |
| | Ran a rocky 4 out in the mountains. Loved it! Sucks that I am out of shape still but I'm working on that. Probably walked/hiked 4 more miles. |
| | Did the trivia part of the Great Race. Fun to watch Aaron Metler, Rodney, and Ryan Neilson put on a good show for the 1st leg. My team took 5th. |
| | Ran a easy 2 in the rain. I need to run more but I get too tired after work. Not an excuse, I will find the time. |
| | Ran a little more than a mile to break in some new Aasics. My legs got really tight really fast. |
| | Ran to the river and swam and ran back home. Distance over speed is my key right now.
| | Ran a slow but good 5. Up and over foremaster.
| | A little bit faster pace, 5 miler with the R-man. |
| | Easy 3 but tried throwing some speed in there. |
| |
Fastest mile: 7:25, slowest: 11something. |
| | Easy jog to the river with Ryan and Scota |
| | 2 a days? I ran a mile with my Dad coming down the observation point hike. Then later at night I pounded out 4 1/2 more. |
| | 2 miler out to Sunrise. Tried running an under 7:30 last mile and did it in 7:04. |
| |
Ran 5 with my Dad in on a Zion trail. Ran a little more on the Emeralds Pool park. |
| | Ran down to the bike trail then up the most southern end of Foremaster, down Sunrise and to the Casa. |
| | Ran a 3 miler at a 8:11 pace. I did however relapse this last week. I went back down to Louisiana and ate a lot and ran little. |
| |
I wussed out on my run. I tried running in the heat and probably started out too fast. I had stomach problems from drinking too much water. Luckily some buddies were driving by and I got a ride home instead of throwing up and trying to walk the last 2 miles.
| | Ran 4 miles on the bike trails in Bloomington Hills. First longer run with a under 8min/mile pace. Times are coming down. |
| |
Boom! Best post surgery run I have had yet. I ran down around foremaster up by the hospital past Dicks, Sunrise and back to the house. The run had a lot of uphill but I was able to stay consistent and finish with a sub 7 last mile. Feels good to actually get some faster miles. Its all a work in progress. I still need to drop atleast 25 more pounds.

| | Nice late run. My goal this week is to run everyday except Sunday and put up 25-30 miles |
| | Ran 6 in 48:04, felt sick but besides that it was an ok run. |
| | Never realized how important breathing in running is until now. Ran a late one to try and be like the WBR runners. |
| | Crazy sandy long run with my Dad. We went out by Gunlock Res.and ran a lot of uphill. Got a new post surgery mile high. |
| | Ran an easy 4, 7:36/mile pace |
| |
Ran a good pace with my Dad, 7:33 mile pace. |
| | Ran a pretty decent 7 on the bike trails. Did it at about a 7:36/mile pace. |
| | Boom got 30 miles for the week. Huge step for me and pretty consistent mile paces. Ran a late 6 up Sunrise and down foremaster. |
| |
I hadn't recovered as much as I was hoping. I ran an easy 4.
PM: First 2-a-day. Ran a some what relaxed 2 with a 7:10 last mile. |
| | Another sucky sandy run with my Dad and brother. We ran some trail out by Red Cliffs. Did really well on the sandy uphills but ankle struggled on the downhills. |
| | Ran 1 mile, got too busy with other things but wanted to say I ran. Will run more tomorrow. |
| | AM: Wanted an easy 3 but felt ok to do 4.5 |
| | I ran a motivated 10 at a 7:58/mile pace. Really glad I could do it. |
| | Tried doing a fartlek for 2 miles only made it 1 and a half. Great week. Looking to continually bump up the miles. |
| | I felt really terrible from the get go. Monday runs have always been a challenge for me, mainly because I eat too much sunday. I felt sick throughout the run but breathed out my sick aches. I almost "Trevor Thompsoned" near the end so I jogged it in easy. Ran at a 8:00/mile pace. |
| | Easy slow 5 with Dahlson, RJ, and Big Dahlson. |
| |
Track work? It's been more than 3 years since I have done that. I did 4 400s and felt like I was running ridiculously fast but really wasn't.

| | Green Springs/Zabriskie 6 from my house. Felt pretty smooth. I need to eat less to prevent future sick aches. 7:47/mile pace. |
| | Ran a nice relaxed 7 in Little Valley. I rolled my ankle about 3 miles into it. Hurting right now, hopefully it won't be a big deal. |
| | It is hot outside. I had my buddy drop me off on the way to swim by the Washington Dam. Running in the afternoon is never a good idea. I ran the first 2 miles just fine but struggled the rest of the run. Rewarded with some deep river water. |
| | Ran 10 60 second intervals with equal recovery time. I ran fast but probably could have gone faster. Nice little run. I felt kind of fast. |

AM: Well I didn't stretch after the half so I was too sore to run the last 2 days. Ran an easy 3. I was still really sore but it loosened me up.
PM: Ran 2 by the sand dunes by the river. |
| | Slow run. I was glad I could run the way I did. I just have to keep adjusting in all my runs and focus on the basics. |
| | I felt bad I didn't run yesterday so I wanted to get a longer un in today. Felt pretty smooth until the last couple of miles. |

| | I ran 60 second intervals but didn't dig enough. I don't know why I'm so wussy and or slow. |
| | I ran 5.70 with my Dad on Cedar Mtn and then added 2 more before football with some friends. |
| | Easy paced 9. I ran really late but suceeded in avoiding the heat. |
| | Run out to Hell Hole with my Dad. We swam in the river to cool down and saw the PV XC crew. |
| |
Decent paced 6 with the XC crew. Good to be running with a team again.
PM: Easy 3 |
| |
AM: Ran an easy 6 not with the team. I had to go to the bathroom and fell behind the main crew.
PM: 12 60 second intervals. I started out alright but didn't dig or fight enough. |

AM: Soft run at Vernon Worthlin. 5.5 miles
PM: 7 miler out to the old airport road and back to the college. |
| | Finally just a morning run. Long and hilly |
| |
AM: Whoo! Just a nice soft run. I was stoked to just go at a nice pace but relaxed.
PM: Crazy Oak Grove Run. The combination of practices and working 9 hours in the hot sun has really got to me. I felt light headed the whole way but struggled through it. |
| | Easy 7 but I still lacked energy. Today I don't work and there is no evening practice so I will take advantage and rest up. |
| | Boom! I ran new record high mileage week. Ran 14 on the marathon course with my main man RJ. I felt re-energized. Thanks to not working yesterday. Ran at a 7:08/mile pace. |
| |
AM: Easy 6 but my hami starting tightning up.
PM: Uphill 400s on Turkey Farm Road. I was still pretty tight but I just kept trying to dig. I wasn't fast but I put in a good effort |
| | Easy soft running at Vernon Worthlin. |
| | XC practice was cancelled due to the rain. We were supposed to run 8 as a team. I only ran 5 by myself. I wish we would have had practice still. |

| Race: |
Beat the President 5k (2.62 Miles) 00:16:50, Place overall: 11 | | I don't have speed. However, I ran my last mile and half at a faster pace than I ran for my first mile. Usually that never happens for me. I just need to get a competitive spirit again.

| | Jogged curves, ran straight aways. |
| Race: |
Buffalo Park (Flagstaff Invitational) (5 Miles) 00:34:18 | | Well it was a huge disappointment of a race for me. I really had to use a bathroom because I ate a weird energy bar that gave me the runs. Unfortunately, there were like 10 port-a-johns but all were out of toilet paper. So I ran all over the place to buildings close by and all were closed. I couldn't not find toilet paper. I just had to run and not Trevor Thompson myself during the race. I only have room to improve.

| Race: |
Boulder City, UNLV (5 Miles) 00:32:30, Place overall: 24, Place in age division: 8 | | Well it was a hot and sandy course. I ran it back in high school and hated it back then. I finished 8th on the team and last overall. However, I ran faster than I did at Flagstaff. Rather than be negative I will just look ahead and be better. At times I wonder how much my operated leg is effecting me, who knows.
| |
| | PM: I didn't feel good in the morning so I didn't go to the AM practice. We ran Owens Loop, T-Bone out on the desert trailes. I love dirty dusty trails. |

| Race: |
St. George Marathon 2012 (26.2 Miles) 03:13:38, Place overall: 405, Place in age division: 31 | | I wasn't planning on running this at all. My brother couldn't run so I took his number. I decided to run because I won't be running in anymore XC meets. I obviously started out too fast and wasn't there mentally to finish decent. I can't wait to see what I can do when I actually train for a marathon.

| | Something is messed up in my lower right leg. Jogged a little with the team. |
| | We did 12 60 second intervals. I felt pain in my right leg right when we started but I made it through that workout. It worries me that I can't see what is wrong with my leg. It's a deep hurt. |
| | I ran a good paced 10. My feet are still messed up but I can't keep resting them or else I will get out of shape.

Team Time Trial(Hawaii Qualifier) (6.2 Miles) 00:39:29, Place overall: 4, Place in age division: 4 | | Well our top 6 runners are going to Hawaii for Conference. The top 3 were already set. However, there are 5 more runners on the team and only 3 spots. So we had a time trial to see who gets the next 3 spots. I took 4th out of 5 and didn't make the top 6. I will still probably go to Hawaii, I will just have to pay for my ticket.
