Short-Term Running Goals:

Get more consistent like I was 5 to 6 years ago. 2020 I'd like to just run more overall.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy and keep running until I'm really old, and maybe get a Boston Qualify.

I am Married and my wife Cindie and I have 5 kids. I am an insurance agent and have been for over 30 years.

Russian champion tries Crocs, commits to racing a marathon in them

Nikolay Chavkin in the video below did 3x1000, first two in Adidas carbon-fiber models, the last one in Crocs. Surprised by the result (2:52, 2:52, 2:50) with the fastest interval done in Crocs, he committed to racing a marathon in Crocs if the video gets 42K likes and 195 comments (for 42 km 195 m, the marathon distance). Nikolay's current marathon PR is 2:14:00. The video was created by a Russian sporting goods store chain. Their moto is "more sports - brighter life", which we think is wonderful, and also deserves a Like. If you want to see a fast marathon in Crocs, go to the video and click the Like button. Mount loafer up to the Mailboxes and then over to the top of Harrys hill and then Home, I felt pretty good on the uphill but not so good on the Downhill... I'm sure that will get better as I run more downhill. My average pace was 9:10 with a total time of 1:06:00, I finished up with some lower body weights. Good uphill and downhill training today.

I just ran around on Canal road toolin around, I finshed up with some upper body weights and some Push-ups. My average pace was wasy at 9:01 with a total time of 33:21.

Out to the riverbottoms and back via canal road, Heart rate was a little higher today than I'd like which has to be a bi-product of Covid. Usually I am in the 140 average range. My average pace was slower to at 9:03 with a total time 1:40:40, hopefully my heart rate will come down as I go along. I am working on being 2 months since I first learned that I had covid so i hope this isn't a permanent problem. I guess we will see.

Harrys Hill route up, I felt better this week on the downhill portion of Woddland Hills Drive so Progress. Pace is still off and slower than Normal but I'll take it. I finished up with some lower body weights. My average pace was 9:05 with a total time of 1:04:48.

Payson Park Loop but I ccut out the rollers, I felt pretty good but I thought I was running faster than what my pace was showing. It was still a positive run. I finished up with some upper body weights and some pus-ups. My average pace was 8:47 with a total time of 54:58.

Out past Mini Gu Corner and back. I felt a lot better this morning and my pace was more fluid and steady, my average pace was 8:26 with a total time of 1:00:57. I had 1 MP mile in there at 8:08, I finished up with some lower body weights. Progress.

I ran the tips on Canal Road, Pace was still pretty good. My average pace was 8:29 with a total time of  36:33, I finished up with some upper body weights and some Push-ups. My Muscles felt a little weak this morning on the strength training.

Out to River Bottoms and back, I felt reallyt bad and I hit the wall with about 4 miles to go... I had 3 VPB breaks and after that I had no energy and just felt depleted. My average pace was slow as hell at9:18 with a total time of 2:01:47, I'm so glad this one is over.

Harrys Hill Down via Mount Loafer School and the Mailboxes, I felt pretty good and I was the same pace on the flat after Harry's Hill as I was on the downhill portion so that is progress. My average pace was 8:53 with a total time of 1:03:37, I finished up with lower body weights. MP miles were 8:05 downhill, 8:00 mostly flat, 8:02 flat.
