| | AM- Ran 2 on my own then met up for our fist XC practice! It feels great to be back with the kids! I hopped around to different groups and made sure everyone had a partner to run with. I added a little more after everyone left. 8.09 miles
PM- Neighborhood Loop with Marieta and her brother Jake. Trying to run off too many ribs I ate at dinner. 2.02 miles

| | AM- up with Running Club this morning even though I didn't want to do tempo. I started with Steve and Logan and quickly faded then decided to do my own run and find a bathroom. At XC I had some good coversations with Carson Adams and Nathan Caldwell as we did some grass running. 8.83 miles
PM- 3 with Aaron going what seems like a tempo for me. 3.03 miles

| | AM- Tour of Washington mixed in with a lot of different kids. Branched off with Gary, Ben, and Talmadge. I added 3 running the tunnels by Sienna Hills and under the freeway. I'm feeling pretty tired, must be the faster mileage with Aaron. 8.10 miles
PM- 3 with Dave, Aaron, and Logan. I felt stronger today. I drank a lot more water throughout the day.

| | AM- Got out the door before 5 hoping to get 8-10 before boating at 7. I made it half a mile and felt nauseous. Turned around and took care of business at home. I didn't have the desire to get back out. I was cursed for not going to xc practice. 1.12 miles
PM- Went out at around 1:30pm to sneak in a run to make up for the opportunity I missed this morning. I slugged out 6 on different sections of the Mayors Loop. 6.07 miles

| | AM- 5 miles of gradual uphill up Willis Creek. Super slow and sluggish but I endured. Then I was rewarded with some rolling hills through Broad Hollow. Great run on the mountain! 11.38 miles
PM- I wanted to go out for a second run but was feeling tired from weekend activities. I did jog out my frustrations while golfing. .25

| | AM- 15 Baseline with the team. It was fun to see kids pushing themselves with teammates. 4.25 miles
PM- George and I took Dawson on some of our favorite backyard trails (up above Bear Claw). We all moved pretty fast through some rocky terrain. Then in a spot we usually see owls, we had had a different encounter. A big brown bird flew right over us and dived bombed. We heard 2 loud thuds! We thought it was diving to attack something but the thud noise was concerning. We hiked up to the spot we saw it dive and found a dead vulture. Poor guy! We left dumbfounded on what happened to cause the crash. 4.25 miles

AM2- My Dad popped by wanting to see the vulture. So we cut through the golf course and into the desert. We got up on the ridge line overlooking Bloomington and then home. 4.02 miles

Kanab 10K (6.2 Miles) 00:40:47, Place overall: 10, Place in age division: 1 | | AM- I wish I would've ran a little more on Friday but got caught up with friends at the cabin. I felt nauseous all race but I still competed throughout. I probably started out too fast "testing the waters" on the competition. I could've kept the pace for several more miles. George took 5th overall and Ross 13th. Ran a nice cool down to cheer on Star.

| | AM- Great tempo workout with the team! I mixed in with most all of the groups at one point or another. I'm really enjoying coaching so far this year! I'm excited for what lies ahead. 7.11 miles
PM- Dawson and I went up up to Pine Valley to hike Whipple. I of course took us on the wrong trail and followed the creek too long. So we bush whacked and rock climbed trying to find the trail. We eventually retraced our steps and found the trail. We weren't able to reach the summit because of a dinner appointment. We still made it 3 miles up the trail then 3 miles running down the trail. Cooled off in the creek afterwards. 3.55 miles (of actual running)

I started out really conservative but strong. The first 3 miles were straight uphill. The trail was more rugged and not maintained very well. Both Ross and I pushed well but were overwhelmed by the climbs. I had been wanting to do a challenging trail run so I'm grateful I got out today.
Saw Steve Ott's dad, Logan Hall and Josh Hardman on the trail. When we got to Forsyth trailhead my Dad biked back to the Whipple trailhead to get my car. I ran to the church and saw T-Rav Roberts cruise by me.

| | Got up a little before 5 and couldn't go back to sleep. I drove out to the dam road where I guessed the team would be meeting. I ran to the dump and climbed that monster hill and down into Hell Hole. Felt relaxed and enjoyed the early morning views. Caught up with the team and did some tempo with Parker, Devin, Gianno, and Porter. Parker is a great leader. Then I ran back to catch up with more groups. Great run to end the week. 15.32 miles

Today was a great workout but I was slower than I thought. 3 mile warm, 2 mile tempo, half recovery, 1 mile tempo, half recovery, 1/2 mile tempo, half recovery, 1/4 mile tempo, and 2.5 mile run home. 11.11 miles
