| | Today was just a cardio day for me, I did 30 minutes on the elliptical and then I did my HIIT sprints on the treadmill again. The hiit part only lasted about 25 minutes, I ran a 7:40 pace for the rest of my time on the tm. I felt really good today. | Comments(3) |

Upper body weights. Incline presses, push up,shoulder work, worked tri's,bi's lats. Crazy hard! Carina asked me the other day if I am seeing improvement and the answer is without a doubt YES! It's the combination of the diet and the new weight lifting regime. I am changing. I was gaunt from marathon training before, and now I am turning into a powerful lean machine :) 5 miles on the tm @fast-ish pace. The twice a week all out sprints are making me faster I swear!

Lower body strengthening for an hour. Some core work. Crazy what I am doing each week. Incline hill work on the dreadmill walking. It is sweaty and hard despite what one might think.

| | Ran 7 miles today. Most of it a tempo run. Good sweaty workout and I haven't skipped a beat in my stamina and endurance.

| | 44 min of elliptical hell (look the name calling is baaack!) and 5 miles on the dreadmill. I did some hill walking intertwined in some that mileage. Super. | Comments(4) |
| | Upper body weights and strengthening. I am really bad at push ups, but I do them anyway. Elliptical for 36 min, 4 miles on the dreadmill in 30 min.

Today was my hiit sprint day. I did 4 miles of sprinting on/offs. 60
seconds of each speed. I get really SUPER worked over when I do this
each week. I can't begin to tell you the energy it consumes from ones
body. It takes the rest of the day& evening to recover from it. When
you feel like that, you know it's doing it's job. The last .50 of the
mileage I was brisk walking on an incline. My trainer/diet coach turned
up the heat on me yesterday. My diet was re-written as well as my
strength training and cardio. She referred to it as breaking out 'best
mode'. Oh shiz, what have I got myself into!? :)
I worked my core a bit and weight trained my legs after running. My legs are sore now, so I know I did something. This pic was taken a few days ago. My new found bi's and tris and delts. More pics later December to come when I've changed more.

| | Weights to work my back (lats) today. At the end of the sets were some sets of plyo's that kicked me around like a little girl. So hard! Then I ran 8 miles because this week is Thanksgiving. I haven't run that much or long in a few weeks. I plan to do it everyday this week. Cardio load instead of carbo load. The day of bing eating is coming...only not for me. For everyone else. I swear I am going to be good that day.

| | Lower body squats and lunges. My hammy's and quads really hurt now. But it's a good hurt. Ran for like 3 miles before I did some brisk walking on an incline for 2 more miles. Nothing special.

| | Bi's and tri's strength training. Then I ran 8 miles with some speed intervals and I felt sick when I left. I had to work hard being that it's pig out day :) | Comments(5) |
| | Ran 10.5 miles today very fast. It hurt. Pain, sweat. blah. First double digit since SGM. I can still do it and that's all that matters :) | Comments(2) |
| | I decided to take a run up the Spanish fields river trail this afternoon. The weather was beautiful and sunny, and I had nothing else to do. I threw on my running clothes, put on the watch and headphones and off I went. Honestly I am surprised at the splits I pulled off for not having a focus on running the last 6 weeks. As well as running minimally. All of my splits were below a 7:30, with the last 2 miles being a 7:04 and a 6:54. Not shabby. This run was so beautiful. I haven't been on the river trail in weeks and it always tugs at my heart strings because of how much time I have spent there. I've trained for 2 marathons and all my other races on this trail. It looks so different now though ,with the leaves missing and the trees looking barren. I can't wait for spring....
