Good run today with Kory. But toward the end of my run i felt like my legs were getting stiff and had a hard running. Anyway i ran 16.01 miles at a 7:08 pace. Thanks Kory for running with me! Yesterday was a good day for me and my wife we had a great time with my son before he left for Flordia. I guess that he will be gone for a year before we will be able to see him again, i sure hope the year goes by fast. Thanks for reading and have a great day and weekend!
Had a good run with Kory this morning! There is a race in June I will be running so for todays practice we ran the course for the race, I sure hate that race course. But i did better than i thought, i guess. But it was fun. My average pace was 7:20. Thanks for reading and have a great day!
Today's run I ran five miles at a 7:10 pace with a 0.5 incline. I am in Jackpot, Nevada right now with my wife and enjoying the day with her! Starting this week i cut back on my mileage for my race on the 16th in Ogden. So this week i will be running 45 miles with a long run on Friday of 10 miles. Thanks for reading and have a great day!
Ran four miles at a 7:14 pace in the rain, I hate running
in the rain. For some reason I did not realize that my race was next weekend. I
was thinking it was still three weeks away. So my plan now is to run 30 this
week and then 15 up to my race. Anyway, not much planned for today, work and
rest. Thanks for reading and have a great day!
Ran three miles today at a 7:11
pace. According to my schedule I was should have taken Sunday off, but I did
not realize that my race was next week so I ran on Sunday. That is why I am
only running three miles per day for a couple of days. But today I was feeling
really good and was able to run about 100 meters at a 5:03 pace. The last time I saw times like that I was in high
school. :). Anyway, not much planned work and rest. Thanks for reading and have
a great Wednesday!
I had a good run with Kory this morning. My average pace was 6:43 and i am a little sore right now, but not to bad. Kory ran the first four to five miles, then he decided to run faster. I was happy with my three mile Marathon mile pace, so i started to slow down. Then from there on my run was uneventful. I guess the most exciting thing i saw was a dead bird. I am starting to get a little excited for Ogden next weekend and a little nervous. I know that God will help me and i am fully putting my trust in Him to meet all my needs. Anyway, thanks for reading and have a great FRIDAY!
I felt really good this morning. Ran four miles at a 6:54 pace. Yesterday i had a treatment for exercise induced asthma and it sure made a big difference. Anyway, not much planed for today rest, yard sell shopping with my mom and a movie. I will let you know what movie i go to and if it is a good one to see. Thanks for reading and have a GREAT SATURDAY!
No running today because my next race is Saturday. I had a great day at church and with my mom, my wife was working. My mom, brother and i went to lunch at Sizzler. Then i took up the mother day gifts to my wife at her work. Right after work she left for her mother house in Rupert. Then around 4:10 my mom and i went to the movie Star Trek, i do have to say that is an awesome movie. If you like seeing the Star Trek series this is an awesome one to see. Then some R&R at home! Have a great week!
Nice easy run this morning. Ran four miles at a 7:04 pace. I am getting a little nervous for my race coming up, but i know that is to be expected. Anyway, have a great Monday!
Ran my usual four miles at a 7:03 pace. Some stuff i have been thinking about lately is i would like to race more than four times a year. I have worked so hard getting to this point in my life i would like to enjoy the fruit of my work. I understand that more training is needed to get better, but i would like to run more than four races a year. The one thing stopping me is my wife, but she has a good point that is just too expensive to run races out of town. I don't know, do any of you have any advice for me or am i just a lost cause? Not much planned for today except my usual, work and rest. Thanks for reading and have a great day!
P.S. Is there anyone out there running the Ogden 1/2 marathon wanting to run it between 1:20 and 1:22? Please let me know, maybe we can run together and help each other out.
Nice easy run of four miles this morning in an 18 to 20 MPH
wind :(. I sure hate running in wind. Anyway, thanks for all the advice I received
yesterday, you all gave me a lot to think about. Not much planned for today, work
and rest and watching television. Thanks for reading and have a great day!
Nice easy run this morning. I ran three miles at a 7:10 pace. I am still getting a little nervous
about my race Saturday, but I know that if God is for me who can be against me!
Now today I have a lot planned, work and then I have a wedding rehearsal that i am in charge of and then Bill Mandler and I are getting Vitamin IV done :).
I usually hate needles, but the IV helps out so much that I over look my needle
problem. Then to bed early tonight for some good rest.. Thanks for reading and have a
great day!
Today's run was to help keep my legs fresh for tomorrow. I
also took an ice bath and now I will go and take a nap. I know that races are
stressful, but the days before are nice. The weather for tomorrow looks good;
the temperature is going to be around 47 degrees with a wind at 5-7 MPH from
the ESE. So if I am right the wind will be helping us a little in the beginning. So
for all of you running the Ogden
marathon and 1/2 good luck and God bless!

This was a very frustrating race for me! I almost gave
up around mile 8 I think. But even though I am frustrated I do give God the
glory for all the help He gave me. I will write more later.
Later: I sure had a very busy day! I started my day at 3:45, and then my
race started at 7:00. Then I had to come home early to perform a wedding at
5:00, now I will be going to a movie at 7:30. What a day! Well here are my times, but I have
to write them out because my other computer is broke. Also, my time is off from
the official time because around mile four my shoe lace needed to retie and for some reason i stopped my watch.

I think a lot of my problem is I forgot to take my
inhaler at mile five and that really affected me. Then both my legs IT muscle
was hurting me. Which is due to lack of oxygen, I think. Like I said before I wanted
to quit and I am glad I did not.I am
not sure what God is trying to teach me something through this, but in His time
He will reveal it to me. Now on to the good news I was 20 out of 3000 I think, I
still need to find this out. Then third
for my age and I will be getting an award, I think. So thank you all for the
support, it really means a lot to me! Also, I had the honor of meeting the
famous Marion, what an awesome lady. For those of you who do not read her blog
you are really missing out. Thanks for reading and have a great day!
I am planning on taking a couple of days off. I think that the days off will will help my leg recover. Not much planned, rest and movie. Thanks for reading and have a great day!
Another day off. I really wanted to run today, but I though those
two days off would do me good. I guess I will find out tomorrow. Also, I am
unsure what to do now should I run a marathon or stay with my half's. I was
really thinking hard about running Pocatello
marathon, but I think I would like to run my first marathon on a different
course. I am uncertain what to do. Any suggestions? I had a lot planned for
today, work counseling session for a wedding coming up and hooking up my swamp
cooler. Also, thanks again for all the comments for my race on Saturday. Thanks
for reading and have a great night!
Nice easy run this morning. I ran four miles at a 7:22 pace and the temperature was 67 degrees.
Wow that is hot being three in the morning. This was a very exciting run for
me, why you ask? I am glad you did. When I first started running within the
first quarter mile I heard something that made me think, and I am not kidding
when I say this “I am going to die.” I
heard a GRRRRR so deep that I almost jumped out of my skin and I have never
heard such a deep GRRRRR in my life and I really thought I was going to die. I
took off my head phones and looked around and kept looking around and I saw
nothing. So thank you Lord for protecting me. What a run!!!! Anyway, not much planned
for today, work and rest! Thanks for reading and have a great day!
Good run this morning! I am starting to run a different rout than i use to, one with more hills. For those of you that know Satterfield Hill that is what i ran this morning. But i did have the aid of the wind, which was very nice. I ran the mile up the hill at a 8:05, which is very good for me. I am trying to get ready for my next race in June, which is a very hilly course. Anyway, yesterday i ended up doing more than i though, the water pump on my swamp cooler died and i ended up replacing that and let me tell you that it works awesome now. Not much planned for today, work and rest. Thanks for reading and have a great Wednesday!
Same course as yesterday. Ran six miles at a 7:14 pace, with no wind today. Not much planned for today work, ice bath and rest. Tomorrow Kory and i will be running tomorrow, i will be running 18 and Kory will be running 22 miles. Thanks for reading and have a great day!
I had a great run this morning with Kory! My overall pace was 7:15, which is a PR for time for that mileage. I know that starting out slower really helped me to end strong. Today felt like all my cylinders were clicking and that was awesome! I do have to say that i surprised myself for running so good after running my 1/2 marathon race less than a week ago. Anyway, not much planned for today work and a wedding reception that i am in charge of and maybe a movie. Also, thanks Kory for running with me it was awesome. :)
Ran six miles today at a 7:25 pace. Kory and I started together and then around mile 3.5 he excelled on and i just kept at my pace. My legs were soar today and i really was not in the mood to run fast. Anyway, not too much planned today, perform a wedding and watch tv movies on my computer. I have been watching Journeyman and i really like the series, but the show did not last long so there are only 13 episodes :(. And i am on the last one now. Anyway have a great weekend.
Nice easy run this morning. I did go running at 5:30 A.M instead of my normal 2:30. Ran seven miles at a 7:07 pace. I guess next week i will be going to Las Vegas with my wife and her parents. So no race for me next Saturday. Not much planned for today, work and rest. Thanks for reading and have a great day!
My right foot has been hurting the last few days and it is not getting any better. I think i will take tomorrow off and see if that helps out. I was able to run seven miles at a 7:08 pace. Thanks for reading and have a great day!
No running for me today. My right foot is bothering me to much and i do not want to hurt it anymore than what it is. So today i get to go see the doctor and find out why it is hurting. I will let you all know what he says later. Thanks for reading and have a great day!
No running today. I am trying to get my car ready for my long trip. But i did go to the doctor and was told to wrap my foot and that i would be ok to run. Have a great weekend!
Had a good run this morning with Kory. My pace was 7:21 and Kory pace was 7:11 and this course we ran today was a very
hilly. So I am satisfied with my pace. My foot is a little soar, but I think it
will be ok for my running tomorrow. I am still trying to get my car ready for my
trip to Las Vegas. So what have I
done to get it ready? I changed all the breaks and rotors on front and back,
had the wheel aligned, but I had to replace the passenger side tie rod and now I
am getting the tires rotated and balanced. Plus, I still need to get the oil
changed, but I think that will have to wait until I get back from Las
Vegas. So right now I am into my car about $450.0 the
oil change will be free along with the tire rotation and balance. Then I think I
will be ready. Anyway, thanks for reading and have a great day!
