I have to say that i am really amazed on how well i did. I was hoping for a 1:30 at best, but a 1:27:02 that is awesome, which it is a PR for my by two seconds. I am not sure why the official time and my time was off by two seconds, but i will take it, with no complaining. All i can say is that it was a God thing. I was feeling good through the whole run, i had a goal of running my last mile the same as my first, i did not accomplish that goal. But it did help me not to start out to fast and that is what i wanted, so in a way i did accomplish my goal. I am a little upset though why, i am glad you asked. Because when they started the 10K race and the runners took up the whole road and i had a very hard time getting through the racers. Oh well. I am very happy and really amazed on how fast i was able to finish the race. When i was talking to my wife after the race, she told me that if she was to blink she would have missed me finishing the race. Anyway, i am really pleased with the race. Nice easy run of four miles at a 7:24 pace. I am a little more sore than i though i would be, but that is OK with me. This week will be a relaxing week for me and then back at it next. I am training for another half marathon in November called the "Just Cuz." Then i am thinking about cutting back a couple of weeks for winter. Good run of ten miles this morning with Kory. I ran the first four to five miles at a 8:00 pace and then finished with 7:20 pace. The first part was very hilly then ending with some down hills and some up hills. I was a little more tired than i though i would be, but that is OK with me. Then i came home took a nap and then went to a wedding rehearsal for my wedding on Saturday. Then watched a movie with my wife, then off to the fair. Overall it was a good day. :-) Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!!!!

I had a good run this morning with Kory. We had good conversation and it was sure nice to run with someone. I feel like i am about 90 to 100% healed from the race last weekend. That is one of the reasons i like to run the half, because it takes half the time to recover than if i would have ran a marathon :-). Anyway, after my run this morning i went up to help my brother-in-law with some stuff around the house for his party this afternoon. This week I have been really lazy in logging in my runs, I am not sure why. Anyway, this week has been really good for me. Some days I have been running faster than I am use to and other day either the same or a little slower. I am trying to get back into my routine. Today's run went good; I ran the course of my next race. I ran seven miles in the course and then back seven miles. I was doing this for the Pocatello Marathon course and it really helped me out a lot. So the first half went good I was able to keep a 6:50 pace then when I turned around and headed back it was another story. I was running more up hill and a nasty little wind was not helping me out. But I did realize how much of a down hill the course is and another good thing is the big hill that I am scared of I was able to keep and average pace of 6:30 going up it. So I was really happy about that. Now I am down to five more times practicing on the course. That is why I am doing this so soon after my half marathon course. Then I came home and took a 2 ½ hour nap.  For today list of honey do’s I get to clean out the shed, but not before I have a big lunch and go to the movie. I had a good run today with Kory. I ran eight miles and Kory ran ten. I thought my legs were going to be really sore after my run yesterday and to my surprise they were not :-). Kory and I ran together for four of my eight miles and I could tell that he was feeling good and I was happy with my pace, so I slowly watched him pull away. But at one point I decided to try to keep catch up with him and I started putting on the speed, but all I did was watch him pull away even more. So overall I am happy with my run. My pace for today was a 7:08. So for today they are having a Veteran’s Family Appreciation Day, so my wife and I are going to attend. I am considered a Veteran because I was in the Military during the Desert storm. Anyway, have an awesome day and try to stay out of trouble :-).......

I had a good day of running. Today is my longer run/ speed work day. My goal was to run one mile warm up, then run seven miles between 7:00 and 7:05 then one mile cool down. Well, i ran a mile warm up then eight miles between 6:37 - 6:58. I was feeling good the last mile and wanted to keep the pace going. My overall pace was a 6:54. I have to say that with the speed work that i have been doing that i am feeling stronger and stronger, which is a good thing. Anyway, thanks for reading and have a great day!!!! :-)

A.M.: Very bad weather this morning. I ran six miles in 24 MPH winds and rain mixed with snow. I think when i was done i was an ice cube, that is how frozen i was. So this afternoon i am going to run on the t-mill. Thanks for reading and have a great day!! :-)
