Got out for a mid morning butt kicking. Headed down the canyon and got a txt from Shane saying he was starting north on the BST so, I met up with him and did the 8 mile north loop on the upper trail. He was pushing it this morning so, it was working me pretty good. We got back to the cars he had to roll, but I decided to head south on the BST so, headed up the climb from rainbows some serious head wind heading south - sucking the life outta me but got to taylor canyon and decided to head up Malan's and see how I felt - made it to the Malan's overlook and turned it around....

Awesome Trail run this AM with G'doc. Decided to get a good run/climb in so, headed South from Rainbows on the BST up the grinder past Waterfall and Strong's canyons and went up the Beus trail and did the upper loop and headed back down the upper trail to Taylor canyon and then decided to get to the TOP of Malan's Peak before the storm hit!

I as an Eagle Scout had my spikes in my pack, G' had forgotten his, so we each took one and started the climb - The snow started to hit as we hit the Peak. Pretty sketchy coming back down with one foot sliding on the ice and the other holding you up, Just a couple falls one calf cramp and we hit the bottom of Taylors, About a minute into our run back, the hail started to fly and continued until we hit the cars. Washed the run down with a Mt Ogden Burger. Great run - felt pretty good throughout!

Needed to get some miles on the pavement, with Ogden creeping up!! So, went with Jamie and her crew - they were planning on hitting 18-20 miles, a few of them are building to their first 26.2 at Ogden so, ran the first 4 miles with them ( around a 9:20ish avg).. At that point I felt like I need to pick it up so, put in the headphones and tried to find a good rythem. Ended up running around Pineview - about perfect weather. The last 11 miles avg 7:55ish so I felt really good about that...Peace all ya all...

Epic run! Gdoc and I crusied down to Moab to get some hrs, miles, and climbs in on the trails around Moab. Figured last bigish type run to get ready for Ogden Marathon and Squaw Peak..

We started at Prichett Trail head and headed up Prichett Canyon! The scenery up the canyon is just awesome. We made the climb up and out of Prichett and decided to add-on the out-n-back to Prichett Arch. Then continued on down the trail to the Hunter rim turn off. Took the Hunter Rim trail all the way back to Kane road. Made the climb up Kane Rd to the Amasa trail system. Went up Cliffhanger to the out-n-back climb to Jackson lookout. Then took the Potash trail out to the turn at RockStacker... and Jackson trail back to the Prichett Trail head.

G-doc almost sank into the cold dark water toward the end of the run at the final river crossing...Also, not sure on the vert, I think the watch gets confused the garmin had it at 5,732 but I doubt it was that much, although it's a very technical trail with a lot of climbing...

Awesome!!
