8:26 ap easy run, back to mizunos and they seem to feel good now. Bjtt probably a stress fracture so taking celebrex, calcium and running less but following the plan which is easy the first few weeks and see if it heals. ha ha

Plan today 5 @ MP.  Well....x ray of pelvis on list....but for  time being I just run thru this butt/bone pain.  Left at 9am (HOT).  Wish I would get out there earlier but just love to lie in my bed with the fan blowing reading and relaxing.  Summer is making me feel better.  Off zoloft since Monday night last dose.  Just felt too spacey and without emotion but still feel I need something and may try wellbutrin.  Ran one mile easy (8:48) and went right into the five mp miles.  No stopping (although I was wanting to at one point).  Ran up and down minor hills but enough to make me work for this.  Here they are: 6:53, 6:51, 6:50, 6:51, and 6:58.   Kind of died at the end there but it was half down, half up and I am out of shape.  AP for the 5 miles =  6:53.  Oh boy that is one second slower than pace needed for a subthree.  Oh well gotta start somewhere.  : D

ALTRA intuition 1.5.  Bought them at outlet store for 45 dollars brand new.  They were HEAVENLY for my feet.  Even seemed to take pressure off my butt bone landing more flat with my feet.  Kim texted me early I guess (but I don't have my phone with me as I used to, getting sick of it.  Miss the old days with less technology) but I didn't receive the message til I looked at my phone just before bed at 1130.  I was watching Parent Trap with Amber enjoying the evening.   Kim  was inviting me once again to CLIMB American Fork Canyon from the mouth to Tibble Fork....(except we ran an additional 1/2 mile up past the steep part and just to the dirt path-- 7.5 miles exactly).  VERY WINDY from mile 0 to 5 and QUITE COLD up top.  Neither of us were prepared for FROZEN ARM syndrome.  It was hard to move our arms as they were numb.  We left at 5:40am.  I ran slower this time and only stopped at 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, and 12.5 for water, no gus or gatorade today.  Total stoppage time 13 minutes per garmin.  Funny cause Jane and Kim stopped six more times than me and I just kept going.   Luckily I finished a few minutes before them...because they would always pass me everywhere else until they took their last stop.  I quite enjoyed my time hanging with them but kept an easy pace and running past them when they stopped to let them catch me before they would stop again.  I don't like to stop much and it was a good easy pace to help me feel UNbeaten up.  First four miles were ap 9:00 (felt nice and easy not pushed at all even with the significant headwind).  The next three were AP 8:10.  Then the last seven were like 7:09 for the first then 7:00 x 2 and then last five were 6:27 to 6:45.    If my butt was better I would be loving my running completely.  I am feeling much better mentally as the rest of my body has been balancing things out hormonally.    My runs feel strong.  I don't get sore after these runs.  Just the butt bone  ; D.   AP for 15 miles = 7:45.

MY BABY was sent off to Clear Creek Camp this morning!!  I drove her to Orem Elementary at 7:30am.  Then drove my sisters car to Orem Cemetery fields to give her her car.  Her husband needed a ride to work so he drove their car to my house this am.  So to accomodate I suggested I run home from her place but she decided to run to the fields where I met her only two miles from where I dropped off Amber.  Took pictures of Amber and her friend Zoe.  Fun times to be had all week.  I looked over the schedule and I wanted to be a fifth grader again and go too!!  Courtney and Brooke have also gone and quite LOVED it.  So of course I had to let Amber go.  She will be back on Friday at 3.  Last week Courney and Brooke were at Young Women's camp for three nights (wed to Sat).  I spoiled Amber while they were gone and now it is time to spoil Brooke and Courtney.  But man they love to sleep in.  Harder to get teenagers to get moving.  I ran on the canal trail from the cemetery fields to 1100 north in Pleasant Grove.  The 7 mile just after getting passed the steepest part of 1100 north I decided to run a fast mile.  Ran that in 6:15.  AP for all of run 7:51.  Quite liking the altras and the arch support they give as well oddly enough.

food allergies I believe in full force.  stomach cramps all night.  took my dog to get hair cut and had to go right back to get him because he was snarling at the lady.  He was a nervous wreck.  I had some huge issues with abdominal cramping, etc...  It was awful.   Finally made it out to run at 10am on an empty stomach and feelings of needing to eat something.  Ran two easy, 9:03, 7:58 then one at MP 6:50 and another easy at 7:45 and then one at 6:49....this one I ran about a 7:10 pace for the first half mile then picked it up a bit to 6:30 pace for last half mile.  Bone pain better but hamstring tight and right achilles acting up out of nowhere so TIME TO CLEAN UP MY DIET big time to help my arthritic like pains and depression.   World Cup Viewings are gonna be fun for this family!!!   AP 7:42 for five miles.

3:25 pacer.  In no way did I think I was going to fail in this mission so I am very disappointed in myself for the miscalculation.  At mile one my left hip and pelvis was aching. I had really bad stomach cramps wed and thursday along with other maladies til friday. i didnt eat much as a result and i think i came into this job dehydrated. slept from 12-3 am. got to buses for 415 bus so tired but able to chat to keep myself awake. i had steve pace with me and i thought he was going too fast but what was really happening was my garmin was in wrong mode in order to judge pace ...long story but it was my error as i know this course measures 0.2 long. i did not have the pace chart , it was with my buddy and when i thought i could turn it on i could not due to significant headwind just after i stopped for 95 seconds in the porta potty at mile 13. i tried to catch up and the concrete messed more with my left hip that by mile 18 it was seizing up considerably. i tried to be strong and never mentioned my pain til the finish. i cheered the entire way...quieter the last two miles . my pace buddy had to bail at mile 23 and passed the sign to me crud not good as the pain in my legs made me want to stop too . My hip is still burning but hamstring has calmed. it just feels out of position a lot . i had many followers but my potty break was the divider. i have never stopped that long in a marathon before but i just had to stop. I love the uvm course so i am bummed to have not run it exactly as planned. iif u take away the 95 secs to pee etc and the 0.2 over...which is 94 secs (47 per 0.1 miles for 7:49 pace) i had it in the bank. I made this same garmin error in 2011 when i ran 3:09:13 . grrrrr!!! oh well i tried...with only one 15 miler since boston i should be thankful i am not sore right now 10 hours later not a hint of soreness in anyplace besides my left hip pain. I walk up and down stairs normally. no guarding whatsoever.  Splits-- pace on garmin with actual mile splits when I pushed my lap button at every mile marker on the course, a few in the last miles are grouped together when I couldn't see the markers from the crowds and me pouring water on myself:  7:43 (7:48), 7:42 (7:39), 7:34 (7:35), 7:50 (8:01), 7:35 (7:44), 7:37 (7:38),7:45 (7:48), 8:10 (8:12), 8:11 (8:11 wow one right on :D), 7:37 (7:39), 7:47 (7:51), 7:59 (8:05),7:35 (7:39), 8:33 (8:42--95 second potty stop), 7:46 (7:56), 7:57 (7:56-wow a little shorter ), 7:57 (8:02), 7:44 (7:47),7:38 (7:44), 7:48 (7:58), 7:56 ap for two miles, 7:55 ap for 3 miles, 8:05 pace for last 1.24 miles.  I slowed way down when I got to the crowd because I was embarrassed to be charging through and wanted the runners beside me to feel good about themselves and not feel like they had to feel defeated.  I let them catch me.  So irritated with my plan that backfired on me.  NEXT time the stop watch!!  or just know for 7:49 AP on UVM I need to actually run a 7:46 AP per garmin to have me hit it right on.  course 0.19 over well I did have to run off a little from course to porta potty so probably more like 0.18 off.

0.8 at track waiting for amber practicing 4 x 100 relay for Strawberry days.  2.2 miles 1.5 hours later with Amber and Brooke.  All easy.  AP 9.  Feeling great physically.  NO soreness whatsoever.  Maybe my brain is numb???  No swelling. No nothing.  I obviously only stressed my glycogen since I hadn't run more than 15 since Boston.  And the Flu.  Woke with intense nausea and cramping this am that dissipated since.  Now feel strong and ready to start training but being wise.  Okay mentally I am crushed.  Marriage is hard.  Love is hard.  It is a verb not a noun.  IT IS WORK. And I know there are many reasons for why it is good.  But lately I am taking on too many of others sorrows and I am most recently sorrowed by the news of my neighbors divorce which came as a surprise to me and my husband but I am sure not to them as you never know what is happening in people's private lives.  Troy and I have had our ups and downs and man those downs hurt but I hope we can hold out to figure the eternal relationship out.    I hope everyone can try their hardest first before the ill affects of divorce.  Blah... maybe marriarge is over rated???  I mean everyone else is getting divorced?? Is that the ideal these days?  I am saying this sarcastically.  Seriously this subject hurts me to the core.  I am not perfect.  So far from it.  I just wish we had all knowing minds and could see everything clearly that it all made sense.  Anyways.  Off to get my girls at the pool.  Cool day but it is free pool day at Pleasant Grove.

just a lovely recovery day ...no soreness but being wise. Left hanstring is intersting and is the only factor in letting out the secretariat in me. Seriously. Just cruised along not worrying about pace and somehow got one at 8:01. Not puahing at all. plan six miles but took a turn down some abandoned ALL HOUSES LOOK LIKE CASTLES road by word perfect in orem. Seriously some pretty foliage as well. Amazing landscape and homes. Not a car drove by....abandoned. I had dropped off Courtney at drivers ed at timp high school. at 8 and parked at word perfect. Right by Altra store. Ap for 6.08. 8:18. Then instead of walking back after six miles (i walked 0.25) i decided to run again and ran that at 8:45. for 0.91.

something is wrong with this blog....it is double and sometimes triple printing stuff so this report is duplicated in random spots. Tried to fix it but I got a headache now trying. So I give up. HERE IS REPORT BUT IT IS RIDICULOUSLY REDUNDANT!!!Okay so I really was like hey should I even bother to run the American Fork Half marathon? The last two days I have been so sore in my upper chest and my glutes and inner thighs got hit the worst from the HIIT workout on Wednesday afternoon. I couldn't sleep well thinking about how much this 13 miler was going to be a flop due to the incredible soreness/tightness. Think lots of lunges and squats etc... when you haven't done them in months (last time was February before I fell skiing and got out of habit going to the class with Jane and Kim,,,, before January I maybe did them every six months, no kidding). So of course my glutes were on fire. I ran a warmup mile on the dirt path and for 0.1 miles I tried to move to a sub 7 pace...and twice when I attempted just for 0.1 miles my garmin never read my pace below a 7:15!!! I thought oh my this is going to be a hard one to even get a 1:35. But I set my sights on a 1:30 cause I haven't run a 1:30 half for two years...just over for the Moab pacing gig (21 seconds over) and the Hollywood half in April 2013 (40 seconds over). On one training run where Kim and Jane stopped like four times we ran 13 miles in 1:26:xx the week before St George last year...my first fast run in months so I paid for it the whole week before st george. Anyway I am not sure with this came from other than I didn't think...I just ran. My garmin died at mile 3.24....splits to that point are (and I felt like I was taking it easy cause many a runner were ahead of me) were 6:35, 6:36, 3:37, and 6:38 ap for 0.24....see the pattern? I honestly did not even look at my watch in these miles...just when my garmin made the "I am going to die" sound. After that I just put on my "whatever" sign and ran. At six miles I asked a guy beside me the total time...he said 39:06....so obviously I didn't slow I had sped up..weird...seriously. As 39 minutes for six miles is 6:30 ap. And then he proceeded to tell me that our pace was now 5:53 after mile six. HUH?????? I honestly didn't even try to run fast I just put in an even effort. Now I must say I was worried that after mile 7 I was gonna have some meltdown in my leg muscles garmin never read my pace below a 7:15!!! I thought oh my this is going to be a hard one to even get a 1:35. Now I must say I was worried that after mile 7 I was gonna have some meltdown in my leg muscles as they would have to work even harder with all the lactic acid in there already from Wednesday. I don't even know how I did that pace. It was like how you feel trying to run just after you ran a marathon in those first few miles. I thought for sure she would blow by me but I just stayed right behind her (I ended up 19 seconds behind, not bad for her passing me at mile 9). Another girl Cherilee Hunsaker passed me just after my garmin died. I told her my story of soreness and she took off in front of me. But oddly enough she never got more that 20 seconds in front. I eventually caught her at the finish. I ran on the left side of the finish line (outside the real chute) in to the crowd watching her and the finishing clock. We were right together. I saw 1:28:33 (apparently everyone's time is off by at least 54 seconds as the clock at finish started exactly at 6:00:00 but the clock at start started at 6:00:54. My garmin has me starting at 6:00:57 as I crossed the starting line). Since my route was a little longer (going around the crowd to the left before the right hand turn to chute) I know I would have passed her as I was right with her. I met her at the finish and her time was 1:27:33 and her time on website shows her starting time exactly as mine6:00:57. The girl that passed us at mile 9 ran 1:27:14. This was a major soreness run for me. It was like elephant legs but I felt good at the same time. Hard to explain. My heart and mind were one. I read every single motivational sign out loud and it just made me focus differently than I ever do. At mile 10 I asked a guy our overall time and he said 66 minutes. So under a 6:40 pace (6:36, I just calcuated it in my head, ha ha couldn't do that in the race) with three miles to go. Just after mile 10 there is that lovely 0.2 mile hill climb but I felt strong as I gained back up to the girls. After that HOME FREE. I didn't do any pickups just kept effort the same. I didn't sprint the finish (hard to win you are running in to the actual crowd outside of chute). I felt so good at finish. Very excited as I think NOW and BELIEVE now that I can break 3:00 hours at St. George with wise training over the next 15 weeks. I am gonna fight for it all the way!! Timp half I plan to run a 1:24 half. Iced in Manila Pond. Swam across the pond to the other women who got in on the rocky side. Silly girls. They were sore...but oddly the race removed a lot of the lactic acid and I was moving even better 15 minutes after race. The water helped a ton too%t passed us at mile 9 ran 1::14. The water helped a ton too%t passed us at mile 9 ran 1:27:14. I am being OCD here because I am honestly in shock and I am checking all my Ts and Is to make sure I have this right??? seriously I wasn't able to even race this all out. ran to my neighbors. Ran with Donna and April for 3 miles. Their first time running in a long time. I wanted to go easy so this was perfect for me. 28:29 for 3. 9:30 ap. Total mileage 3.7 in 9:21 ap. HIIT starts tomorrow. After camping Saturday night for my 17 th anniversary up at Timponoeke with just my hubby and then hiking stewart falls (casually walked, no stops, but got there in 46 min there and the exact same on the way back). Yup even if I joy walk I time myself. Ha ha. It is four milees total. I don't know if the distance is reality or not but it is what the sign says. I did not wear my garmin. It was a nice 24 hours of being unplugged for the most part. We came down out of canyon to eat dinner then roasted marshmallows and watched a movie then tried to sleep on our old backs in a two man tent. IT was cozy. Fun. :D.

slow no watch but know the route to be 3.2 just not into running/exercise right now. Massive fatigue attack started today...food allergies? not eating terribly healthy. So hard to follow a hypoallergenic diet but i know it will help.

speedwork with jane and kim. hello out of shape..plus those girls are fast!! ran 3 mile warmup....one to kims to meet them real easy then 2 to track in 7:28 ap of course. bathroom break. then talk on what to do. i just waited for what they decided on which was mile repeats on the road alternated with 800s on the track (af high school). First mile for me 6:28 (kim and janes goal was 6:15 and they hit it right on each time. Our mile we head north gradual uphill from high school then left passed art dye then left onto trail which is down slightly then another slight up then left to school (af half finish). wow felt like I had asthma today....after first mile my throat felt raw and bleeding feeling and then i kept coughing and couging. I really need to clean up my diet. Lately very nauseated every morning. It is much worse if i eat refined sugar...and i get a headache when i do. so back to hypoallervenic diet for reals. Last week was a way down week...only 14 miles lol. Ihonestly cant handle trauma books like elizabeth smarts new book "my story" it really depressed...probably causw i stayed up til 330 am reading it and she was kidnalped at night and i was down stairs...it was june..my window was open...just all freaked me out for her. Anyway back at it if i have it in me. Skipped first 800...coughing too much mucus up. thrat on fire! second mile was a 6:30. 800 was 3:09. Felt easy but i was worried i wouldnt live thru the mile. Third mile 6:38. Last 800 3:09 again. First time i did the 800 first lap was 1:33 second was 1:36. second 800 first lap was 1:35 and second was 1:34. Felt easy and good for me. Jogved home 2 miles .
