Barely any sleep. Worked from 0600 to 1215 . Drove to riverton with swollen left eye, burning eyelid flare again. Some sort of immune response. Ouch and lid blocking vision a bit and painful . Took a celebrex after getting home from amberssoccer game . Laid down for 30 min in running clothes. Thought i would run between but i fwlt awful and i only had 1 hour. So at 310 heqded back up to riverton to brookes soccer game. Eye bugging big time. I still had it in my mind to have troy drop me off in lehi before smiths market place and take the trail home. Best decision of my life. He dropped me off at some gas station on alpine highway about a mile west of smiths marketplace. I pottied and was on my way. Oh my goodness this run was unbelievably therapeutic. Besides my flaming eye annoyance i was in utter heaven. Running with not pain slight soreness in quads from squats but never an issue. It was a recovery run after my 6:01 mile yesterday. I felt amazing. And the scenery was spectacular even tbough iwas running east away from sun down the mountains were amazing to behold with the storm clouds and the pathway was so what i needed. My legs felt surprisingly springy that my fastest mile was the one coming up a 7% incline. I not once felt exhausted it was an easy easy jog pace. Like angels were carrying me in the air. Downhill and uphill i felt just as strong. Legs fluid and strong. I wasnt super fast but i would take this run over many hundred others of my runs. The last three mikes it was dark and raining lightly which juat added to the ominous nature of my run. It wqs like a memorial run...all my running feelings rolled into run. I thought oh my i got to run this again...but then said no...this is too amazing to repeat. Thanks,to God for giving me a beautiful night to fly. Ap for 11.32 miles - 8:18.

20 miles with my good friend jessica. Started at west park and ran pn parkway trail northwest to lehi turned at five and headed back to cars at park. Then stopped at 10 for hydration and one gu, strawberry banana flavored. Ran southeast on trail til 15 miles and turned and finished with last five at just over marathon pace. First fifteen easy peasy. Last mile joints achy and couod feel lack of carbs with only one gu so next time i will take two. Last five miles , 7:21, 7:28, 7:21, 7:11 and 7:11. Beautiful day and a great running companion. Noce to be running with someone my age. We are smarter. Train in our zone. No overdoing it. Ap 7:59 for 20. Off to night ski. 15 dollars. Quite a deal. Maybe there isnt any snow? Ha ha.

5 more miles on my red flyknits.  Wow over 730 miles on these babies.  Tread worn well off on outer sides of heels. Gotta love a good shoe.  SUPER busy day.  Called into work at 630am.  Sent home at 2pm.  Kids home from school over next hour.  415 out the door for a recovery run.  Amber joined me for miles 3 and 5    :D .  8:30 ap.    She needed to change shoes from her flat tennis shoes, you know the kind with no laces and no cushion.  I ran a one mile loop x 5.  Felt pretty good.  ONLY problem was I had to work out kinks from my BIG near death experience with two snow boarders at sundance deciding to just sit down in the middle of a narrow passage.  I had to break reallly fast and use my pole to do so then flipple over their boards with my ski still on.   IT HURT because before I could flip I had to stretch extended over one of the guys boards.  At work I was in a lot of whiplash pain.  Before the fall I felt amazing skiing.  Seriously amazing.  Like I had never even run.  Still feels that way.  Although I forgot (amber had to remind me) that later last night getting into my car I shut my own foot ankle and knee in the door....meaning my leg was stuck with the door slammed between the door and the seat.  I was screaming out hysterically then realized what I had to do---DUH open the door.  So needless to say I was running along wondering why is my ankle on my left foot hurting and everything on my right side feels bruised? and hey why is my knee tingling?  Oh yah I shut my leg in the door.  Seriously who does that?  I was reaching for my purse under my seat at the same time as closing my car door and left my leg still there.  Geez.  Salt in a wound.  I was already sore from the fall.

739 miles on the REDS.  Oh yah!!  Alarm off at 445am.  Where did the time go?  I am in severe need of many hours of sleep.  Many.  I wasn't going to go but then realized there was no way I could fall back to sleep....so I just got out there.  Chilly.  28 degrees.  Frost everywhere.  Again.  AP 7:50.  Not sure why I ran last two easily at 7:24 pace. Nice.  Legs feel great.  HEAD SO VERY TIRED.  Got to work.  Then at noon I was pulled (because it is my turn, I no longer float) to mom/baby at utah valley.  Just so tired by end of shift but got to take care of an old friend's niece.  Last time I saw her she was 16!!!  It was a college roommate.  Seriously wow. Time flies.  My 20s were soooooo fun.

Took benadryl to try and sleep last night.  So much insomnia.  Dang low estrogen!!  anyway...it only succeeded in making me feel like a zombie when I got up to get the kids going.  So instead of running I paid bills.  Then thought of a nap but I only tossed and turned.  I finally got over to the gym at 1145am!!!  Looked at my running schedule and was a little worried-- 7 x 800s.  Yikes I am so tired!!  Well Melissa was there so she helped my warmup fly by in fact I did an extra mile.  3.1 in 24:58 at 1%.  Bathroom break. Then 0.25 warmup and into workout.  No overdoing it today kept paces accurate to my current marathon PR of 3:07 and even started slower.  First two Yassos at 3:09 (9.5mph or 6:18 pace), then 3:07.5 x 2 (9.6mph or 6:15 pace), 3:05 (9.7 or 6:10 pace) and last one at avg of 6:01.  Started at 9.8 mph and increased every 0.1 mph to 10.2 for the 0.5 miles.  Ran at 7.3 mph (8:12pace) for recovery for 1/4 mile.  Felt very easy.  So when I do EIGHT here in a few weeks it should be a cake walk too if I start the pace just right.  Frog in a frying pain.  Old lady in a swimming pool.  Whichever way you look at it.  I have to SNEAK up on myself.  My brain is THAT smart, it knows what is coming.  I really could have easily done 8 but schedule says 7 and I am trying to be a smarter runner. Training in my zone.  AP for the 800s= 3:07:30 (marathon time).  I am pretty confident that I can run at least a 3:10 at Boston if surprise heat wave doesn't happen.  But don't completely quote me on that...my thoughts change daily. Some days I think I can't even get to the starting line.  Ha Ha.  Oh after speedwork I ran 1.75 miles at 7:00 to 8:12 pace (mostly 7:30) all at 1%.  AP for 7 miles= 7:00 on the dot.  48:59 was the time there.  ****side note: from fall skiing monday---everything is back to normal. BUT from shutting my leg in the car doorthe same day?!! yikes my left leg/inside knee cap and hip and foot are slightly upset.  I am sure it just twisted and ligaments pulled from the force of impact staying crushed between seat and car door.  Seriously why am I soooo stupid?

Up at 445am.  Got back from Courtney's soccer game in Riverton at 945pm.  Bed at 1040.  Just can't fall asleep easy and I wake several times a night.  My daughter Brooke wanted to surprise her friend for her birthday by getting several of her friends and waking her early (Brooke was up at 6:15) and making breakfast for her.  Lucky for me all I had to do was drive Brooke and pick up Jenna and take them to Kim's house. Kim was so nice to volunteer her house for the FUN birthday breakfast. I had to get back to make lunches and get Courtney off to school.  She hurt her foot in soccer so I drove her to the bus stop a half mile away.  Troy was off to work just after that then it was me and Amber for a half hour.  Was not in the mood to run so got on line and rented a car for Spring break.  Neither of our cars can make the trip well enough without causing more damage.  The girls and I are driving to Phoenix/Casa Grande to hang out with my mom.  9.5 hours if I drive it right.  IT should be a beautiful drive going through Grand Canyon and Lake Powell.  Could have flown but that was not adventurous enough for me.  And the girls have never seen the grand canyon (well courtney was 6 months old last time Troy and I were there).  Troy has to stay back with his new job.  : (((       When I get back three days later I will be flying to Boston for the marathon.  Lots of traveling but I will be in taper zone so it should all be FUN.  It is only 142 dollars total to rent a car for the week :D.    Now, ON to my AMAZING run today.  FELT super strong that by mile two I was sub 8  despite the STRONG winds.  I was EMPOWERED by the WIND.  I got hit in several directions but it never bothered me.  I invited it along with me.  That is how I felt the whole time.  Felt so good that the last mile was easily a 6:42.  AP for miles = 7:40.  The only complaint is my crushed leg is still healing...a deep bruise feeling in the outer shin and inner knee and the hip from my leg being yanked out of place so to speak. So currently icing it.  But it really didn't effect me on the run in my mind.  I am feeling more and more like my 2011 running self.  I hope it lasts.  The memory is there.  I have figured out the problem with the last two years despite going through menopause (which is HUGE)....it WAS the STEROID shots GOING systemic after each one.  I got SIX shots in my foot last year about every two months and ONE in my back which was really not good for my BODY at all.  I believe the steroids are the cause for my MASSIVE joint pains and INTENSE fatigue, muscle spasms.  Now that I have PROMISED to never get another one and more than two months have passed (four in fact)...my body is coming back from the great abyss.  IT took me down mentally too.  STEROIDS are BAD. Trust me. Some people can handle them but Julie Esplin and I both found out the hard way (lucky for Julie E for not as long) that STEROIDS shut our bodies down.  They are ADRENAL gland suppressors.  ADRENALS are the master GLAND for handling stress and disease and for FIGHT or FLIGHT.  Seriously can't believe I let it go on that long.  I am still having issues from EARLY menopause (insomnia, hot flashes) but the intense pains are few and far between (unless I shut my leg in a door or night ski in between two stupid snow boarder ;D).  I plan on improving daily. Life is certainly not easy and I plan on not making it harder for anyone else.  GO FIGHT WIN everyone!!!

Saucony 5s. Fit my feet well but no cushion. Very light so i only wear them on treadmill to protect my joints. Plan was 6@ mp. Felt too easy @ 7:03 so did a progressive tempo. Warmed up running at 7.3mph incrwasing pace by 0.1mph every 1/4 mile. Left leg still angry for the door slamming but different sboes helped even out some imbalances in my hips and foot landing that an hour after run pain in left leg gone. However the left eye inflammation is getting tl be mlre and more annoying. Eye waters and burns on lid. Guess i will have to break down and see an eye doctor or dermatologist as it is mainly affecting my lid. Droopy. Lovely. Anyway at 1.5 miles i was at marathon pace of 7:03 so kept it there for a mile and upped it by 0.1 mph each mile for six except last mile i upped the pace every third a mile by 0.1 mph and last tenth i had it at 10 mph (6:00). So the last five were 6:58, 6:53, 6:48, 6:44, and ap 6:33 for last mile as described above. Ap for six roughly 6:48-6:50. Felt very controlled first four and last mile. Fifth mile i was irritated by a television show that really was not appropriate. So lost focus for a moment and tried to think of uplifting things...but that scene was lengtby and i found myself staring at the mill instead. Cooldown x 1/2 mile at 8:12 to 8:00 pace. Total time for 8 miles was 56:52. Ran another 1/2 mile cause melanie was jogging beside me. So nice to have her company.

Slow and easy with the girls and my first loop alone. Last loop 7:02 (felt easy) and last mile uphill last half mile 6:48.

Sleeping good then woken by alarm to get Courtney out of bed for school.  Finish making lunches for everyone.  Then I was called into work.   Clocked in at 7:15am.  Worked until 4pm.  Got home finally ate lunch but then decided to run my four scheduled miles today on a full stomach.  Ran real easy.  Woke in pain in my right ankle for second half of night-- PF region--nerve like pulsating that I couldn't fall asleep for a while.  MAN it hurt.  Weird cause no pain after waking.  But a little when I started running in my cramped grey flyknits that I accidentally shrunk in dryer.  Ran two miles and met Amber (my 11 year old who ran four miles yesterday in 8:35 ap) and ran a mile in 8:25.  Finished on my own for one more mile.  No stops for me.  AP 8:33.  The wind suddenly died down after two miles and I was actually hot that I took off my gloves and sweat shirt.  This was 5:20pm when I started.  Rash is spreading from my eye behind my ears and a spot on my thigh.  This is so fun. NOT.  Going to have to go yeast free for a bit and see if I can cool off some food reactions through my skin.  Go Fight Win.  :D.

Okay so ambien starting to work for me or I would not have had any sleep last two nights. The trick is to take it around 10 to 11pm. Stay in bed and do not eat anything for two hours before or after (food slows absorption). However it only works to get me to fall asleep and when i awake i am up for good which is usually 4-5 hours . Idk what to do about this insomnia except stop everything and mellow the heck out. My plate is so full right now with kids to soccer a zillion times, school future planning , carpool planning for next year for crying out loud....but its important to get in one that works so stress! And then shopping for 2.5 hours another 1/2 hour toput it all away.  After meeting with high school conselor to plan my 10 th graders future and then flying thru my easy run cause i dont have a minute to slow down before picking up carpool kids at school and then driving to Provo to get grandma 30 min away in traffic and then driving 40 min away to Riverton in traffic to a soccer game for Courtney (along the way switching cars cars with Troy cause the SUV sucks the life out of my wallet. And my head is spinning and my brain wont slow down and oh yah i somehow had time to get the chicken ready for dinner. Troy made the salad to put it into before we rushed over to watch a semifinal soccer game of Amber's in futsal, playing a team that has half their girls a year older and we lost 3-2. It was 2-0 and then when amber went in she cruised passed everyone and crossed from left side of field to right side of goal passed the goalie. Perfect goal. Then we scored again. But then  we just couldnt score again. Amber got hurt and came out of game with 8 minutes left. She is tough. She went back in for four minutes.  But she was limping. The girls they played were huge! As u can seee i just beed a break from adrenaline and life would be easy. No more soccer games they wear me out and no more shopping on my day off! I just want to zone out . Mainly cause my eye hurts alot and havent had time to make an appt during day hours so tmr appt is being made for this painful eye!!   AP for 10 miles 7:04 four miles sub 7. 6:56, 6:53, 6:40 and 6:48. Ran first 7 then picked uo carpool. Ten minutes later ran three more miles.  First seven 7:05 pace. Last three 7:03 .  Rolling hills. JUST LIKE BOSTON.  Except elevation going on here : D.  So hopefully it will feel even easier than it did today.  This pace very doable!!!

Not much restful sleep but really wanted to join Rachelle and jer friends for their bday run. Drove to Payson from PG. Made good time having left at 6:35 . Ad an incident at exit that still puzzles me. Really didnt expect it . Amazingly they hadnt left without me so :-) and i spotted them coming down the stairs from Rachelles place. We started running about 7:15 and i ran the first loop with them. Just jogging along. So beautiful. Loved the route and company. Stopped breifly at mile 8 and then at her townhouse for five minutes. Ran with them and i knew it would be tight being 8:50 am and a thirty minute drive back home in order to get to baptism of my niece and also talk on baptism. So i turned around 1.5 miles out on second loop. Felt strong so ran the last 1.5 miles fast with las,t half mile heading north the entire 1.5 miles , into a significant headwind but i just tried to not care and instead embrace the beauty all atounf remembering the many running blog entries i have read about Rachelles training a few years back. First mile 6:28 and half mile in 6:29. Wow that felt good . Made it in time for baptism ...well one minute late. Came into room and there seated were over fifty people! Yikes. Hadnt given a talk in church in years. But i have to say i was honored to speak at Terrahs baptism. Such a beautiful girl. :-) ap for 13 miles 8:19.

Closing in on 800 miles on my red nike flyknits. The bottoms are hammered but theupper is in great shape. Same 20 miler as two weeks ago and same wondetful running partner except we both were not into it, her physicallly..she raced spectrum 10k saturday and me partially physically....batometer reading body with the joint aches and mostly mentally not into it. Feeling drugged hours after taking an ambien. Kind of weird. But also just vented some issues to jessica We have pleged a positive last 20 in two weeks The wind on our run wasnt a big factor but if we waited 15 more minutes it would have been disastrous. Tiles from my table outside on my porch flew off into the air and landed on the deck. This is a heavy table and it was moving. Crazy. Ran last four miles in 6:45, 6:51, 6:47, and 6:54. Ap slower but last miles faster. Ap for the four 6:50. Ap for run 8:06. We were totally not into it. Next time. :-)

Saucony fives.  Oh boy I am having a hard time remembering how I ran this day other than I felt higher than a kite (not sure why, absolutely NO soreness from my 20 miler).....hoping this run will fully come to me....Well I know I ran at the gym 8 miles.  Totally forgetting pace.   Wait..I think I remember...started real easy cause I was trying to be in recovery mode. Real recovery.  First mile 8:49 (all miles 1% incline). Then second mile 8:34.  Then I was just bored so picked it up to 8:00 and increased pace every mile by like 0.2 mph and ended at 6 miles with average pace just under 8:00. Crud can't remember exactly.  That's what I get for not blogging for four days.  Last mile I believe was 7:00 ap.  Just for fun.  Talked with Angie next to me for three of the miles.  Then went to Power Pump class to really get my muscles to work :D.  Was fun.  I was energetic.

Busy work day.  Went to meeting first at Scera (required for work) then very nonstop shift on mom/baby.  No time for running.  NOT SLEEPING.   I feel very manic.  And I am not bipolar.  Well maybe I am now?  My schedule is soooooo busy.  I have soooo much I am doing and fitting in here and there.  I don't get tire.  Weird.  Just a wired brain.  So I NEED PEACE AND CALM.  I gotta stop going to all these soccer games of my kids.  They are just so exciting.  But they are zapping me.  Oh picked up so Sketchers GoRuns.  So far so good.  : D.  They are extremely light and 4mm drop.  See tomorrows run.

Sketchers GoRUN (black).  New shoes.  Let's see how my feet and legs handle back to 4 mm drop (from 10 with nike flyknit).  I had absolutely no heel left on the outside of both my flyknits (ha ha 800 plus miles will do that) so I can only assume that the heel is in the way of me landing mid foot  ;D.  Walked all day in my sketchers then ran at Gold's gym on TM.  OVER TIRED but YET still not able to sleep.  My lips and tongue burn a lot....not sure what that is a sign of.  Probably sleep deprivation.  Can't take ambien. It worked at night but lingered too long during day that I was wigged out on it.  So....tried nothing the last two nights but my 1/4 of xanax that I am almost out of.  Got five hours.  That is all I got. Then awake.  VERY alert.  No more sleep.  And I was sweaty all over and the heat isn't even on.  I suppose hot flashes is the word. Crud-ola.    Plan today was some sort of tempo...and follow Hal Higdons meaning for it.  Well...his meaning is so different from what I have read on the blog so I did the best I could. Ran easy first two miles at 8:12, then 8:00 minute mile then, 7:53, 7:47.  Off tm for a quick stretch and pee stop (really couldn't hold it).  Usually I like to just not stop at all so this was a must especially with what I had next coming up.....a SUB SIX minute mile.  Yah I just decided it midrun to do it.  Started at 6:15 pace and within 0.05 miles got confused and worried I was starting too slow so upped it to 6:10 pace and then left it there for 0.1 miles and increased pace every 0.1 miles by 0.1mph to 5:42 pace (10.5 mph).  Ran a 5:57 mile when it is all boiled down.  :D.    finished with a mile at 8:02.  Had to take a two minute breather after the mile that fast AND with NEW SHOES.  Gotta be careful.   This was at 1230 just past noon.   At 3:30 ran with my daughter Brooke and her friend Brooke two miles.  AP 9:07.    Then Art Festival for Amber and a dinner out with husband to Olive Garden.

Plan was to sleep as close as i could before needing to get upfor work and clock in at 6. Phew woke at 5:38. Clocked in at 6:00. So busy and oh my the pelvic pains....tons of shooting pains through all my joints in my pelvis. 4 mm to zero drop shoes are not gonna be good. That is when my pf really blossomed....with altras. Three years ago. Zero drop rotate my pelvis and my spinal cord..cause man alive the pains are to the marrow. Yowza. Makes me yelp like a wounded dog. Anyway..decided the sketchers are going back. I dont have time to break them in and the flyknits didnt do this to me. So i found a new color....pink with lime green. Since this last pair lasted over 800 miles without injury i think i am safe. Even when the outside of the heels were gone. Completely! So because of the pain...induced by new shoes and no easy break in....cause i ran a 5:57 mile....i did not run my easy six today. Four weeks and i have no idea how i will feel. I dontfeel well hormonally and have had night sweats constantly and i feel quite foggy brained so i am hoping to just do what i trained for even if i do not feel well because that is just what i do. I push thru it no matter what. :-) just gonna do it

Late run again so over tired so took a nap for one hour...i know i fell asleep cause the phone ringing woke me . Darn wish i had turned ringer off home phone. I need the sleep. I cant believe how bad this insomnia is. Started running and i felt good. All the way till mile 7 and then my right calf, probably injured from sketchers last week....because sat i was in a lot of lower body pain the next day after wearing them, as my flyknits have never given me grief. Ordered another pair and decided not to mess with my body mechanics by going from 10 mm to 4 mm drop. They actualy feel very zero drop and are if u tKe out the insert. The insert does not look like it drops at all. Anyway hours later my calf is angry. Massaving it is painful. Ran last fives miles comfortably minus calf tightness, not pain, 7:11, 7:02, 7:08 , 6:36, and 6:35. Last two miles flat to minor rolling. Ap 7:35.

So busy i had no time for running from the moment i got up at 5:38 am. Work at 6am. 7 hour shift , super busy, helped out a coworker and she came in for the last five hours. Came home and upped the buy ness oh yes....housework soccer practices, shopping for baby shower wrapping gift getting fruit cut up and onto traya with caramel dip , cooking then feeding dinner to kids, well two of them, over to baby shower. Also got game schedules changed for my daughters soccer game got out socks to players that we ordered for....thei list goes on......in hopes of a run i put my shorts anx other running clothes on just after i got home from work......but there was absolutely no time for my scheduled five miler and i dont like running at the wee hours anymore. Liking the daylight. I guess i should be thankful i ran out of time....my right valf to my foot to my hip was in quite a bit of pain... I know why. The sketchers were bad for my back and going back to my usual shoes aggravated the already irritated disc. Numbness burning and tingling pain. Sciatica. So rest day in order. New flyknits should be here tmr. :-)

THIS ENTRY IS THURSDAYS. I WROTE WEDNRSDAY ON MY PHONE BUT MUST HABE NOT POSTED IT. SO WILL WRITE IT ON THURSDAYS. Saucony fives. 18 hours later (from last run in the wind in rain at 7:33ap)....I keep with the schedule-- which btw I forgot until I was nearly done with my run yesterday--- for 8 x 800 with 1/4 mile jog in between.  Ran three mile warmup starting at 8:41 pace and increasing pace every half mile for three miles by 0.1 mph or so.  1% incline.  Then quick potty/stretch break.  Then right into 800s....no stopping of TM no resting on sides nothing.  Felt strong.  Especially considering my lack of sleep and work out yesterday and freezing to death in a soccer game called early for  snow and WIND and pelting HAIL.  Yup.  Ref called the game at 0-0 with 20 minutes left.  The weather took a turn without much notice...it was cloudy and rainy when I ran earlier but it had cleared to no rain and just clouds around the mountains...then ominously they snuck up on us from behind the parents seated at the sidelines.  Wow!!  It took me all night to warm up.  Brrr.   Anyway back to my 800s.  Ran 9.7 mph x 2 (6:10), 9.8mph x 2 (6:07), 9.9 mph x 2 (6:03), and 10 mph  (6:00) for last two.  I would run them at zero incline then the last 0.03 I would up the incline to 1% to make me work harder cause I am strange that way.  I was working hard enough right?  Then would keep the incline at 1% and run my recovery at 8:12 pace (7.3mph).  Finished with a very slow cooldown ap of 9:07 : D.   Felt nice to do that.  Jane and Kim were there to witness my run.  In fact they arrived after I had completed two or three so it was encouraging to me and helped me stay focused.  Talking in between for a few of them but then told them I had to focus and just get done.  Of course I then chatted their ears off while they ran hills instead of their usual spin class.   6 miles in 40:36 for the SW.

7:33 ap in the cold wind and rain and loved it this is after my grocery shopping spree..so left at 1pm. (wednesday run too lazy to change the entries but this and wed. entry should be swapped) feeling really strong even in the wind and rain. getting that sick with nervousness feeling for boston and havent felt this way before a race in two years....hope that is a good sign. i am in wave one corral 8. i am going to race boston if elements allow. goal 3:10. or faster. it is boston and the course is not easyi n my opinion. compared to some utah marathons but it is sea level and i have been training on rolling hills only no downhill till this saturday when i will run a simulated half marathon at mp starting at uv half to its finish line. Seriously this pace came naturally today. Not hard at all. Felt like easy pace.

pink flyknits.  5.3 ish miles.  Stopwatch 45 minutes.  Course tooled.  Recovery 630pm.  VERY tired starting this after 12 hour shift and woken bright and early (called into work) at 534am.  Yup remember the time.  I was in deep sleep and wondering why my phone was ringing.  So hard to wake up and get dressed.  Could have slept three more hours easily.  Always when I can't, I could have.  So unhealthy.  Ran to Art Dye to daughter's soccer practice.  Waited around for it to finish and my husband kept going on and on coaching our goalie.  Then as usual could not fall asleep yet tired staring at ceiling.  Kind of worried about the intensity of this insomnia.  It is making it hard to think like I used to about everything.  Hard to explain but massive sleep deprivation...makes me change my mind on a dime....like after this run I didn't care if I even got on the plane to Boston (well Manchester NH is where my flight comes in).  I just can't stand not sleeping like I used to ONCE UPON A TIME....A LONG TIME AGO.  Anyway 'The Story of My Life.....(hmm isn't that a song nowadays?)

Back to the REDS.  YUP think I am gonna just have to wear them at Boston despite the lost heel on the bottom and no more tread under the toes.  They just feel right after all these miles.  Anyway was gonna try to run pace but to be the smartest runner I have ever been I just found a better option...Jessica texted me back and told me she was running easy in Highland with Taunya.  So I parked my car just East of Mt. Timponogos temple and ran towards her house and they met me.  We ran 7 miles together (2.9 to them) and I ran back to Art Dye park. Watched a bit of a soccer game Brooke subbed for then drove home and got ready for two soccer games at the Riverton Bubble.  AP nice and easy 8:05.  Nothing pushed at all.  I kind of feel achy all over in the head and neck so need a break.  So glad Sunday is tomorrow.  20 miler is Monday.  Watched Relief Society/YW/Activity day girls Worldwide conference with my girls. Then we practiced our memorization of Jesus The Christ.  Very nice to relax at home with my three girls who are all growing up way too fast.  Now....Boston is just a little jaunt for me to hang with April and show her around, spend time taking it all in and enjoy a nice run (fast or slow depending on my mood for the day SERIOUSLY)....no competition with my friends please.  I just don't like it ONE BIT.  I would rather roll over and die.  Really.  So....I will run my own race and if I slow or falter it is completely not a big deal...If I am on and somehow elements are all aligned I will run as if with wings.  I just need to be me.  I don't need pressure.  I don't need anything but the sound of my own feet getting me to the finish line and the help of the spectators along the way and fellow runners who also chose to be there.

Last long run with Jessica.  : D.  Said a prayer because I was so tired getting ready. And guess what? the SUN beamed through the clouds and over the mountains and the clouds rolled away and we had a wonderful run albeit a little chilly (34 degrees at start, better than 28 degrees at 7am).  We left at 8:35am. Ran our usual route.  Why fix what ain't broken right?   We have just the right amount of hills in this run to simulate Boston and heartbreak hill and other rollers.  Last four picked it up but ap already at 8:01 :D at 16 miles.  7:09, 7:09, 6:55, 6:52. ap for 20 - 7:49; 2:36:27/20 miles.  Three brief stops well one slightly longer probably five minutes but it was all for the good.  We love our 16 mile bathroom stop at the midsection of 1100 north off the canal.  IT WAS a beautiful run.  Now I need to go get adjusted...my knee is still out from me shutting the car door on it skiing exactly four weeks ago.   Yup I like to try and ignore things but it is messing with my IT band on the left so gotta be smart and go.  THREE WEEKS til Boston.  3:10 goal if good weather.  3:20 if a heat wave :D.  Sub 3:10 if I believe in miracles :D.
