13 miles American fork canyon (af half) to af high school.  7:01 ap. First speed work since st George and since I decided not to run all week I expect to be sore.   Kim and jane both pregnant.  Kim since before st George which is why she ran a 3:12. Intentionally ran slowly. Jane 7 weeks behind Kim.  Fun times!  Both 37 and having babies. Lucky kids to have great moms!

Nada.  So sore. Totally funny!! Like I think I can bust out a half at 45 and not be?  Longest run by three miles since marathon and oh so many slow easy runs before last Saturday.

six mile progression run starting at 8:34 pace increasing by 0.2 mph each mile ending at 8.8 mph for a few seconds.  Ap 7:59 for six then jogged 1 mile at 10 pace with in line increase every two minutes by 1 percent. So nice and easy!!

work today and tomorrow 12.5 hour shift.  no running. no exercise except using my brain to help babies and moms.

20 min warm up at 8:41 pace.  20 by 1 min on/off.  On at 6:27 pace.  Off at 8:41 to 8:34.  A little cooldown.  Quite hot inside the gym. Quite cold outside!!  Car died to make things exciting this am.   Ambers 12th bday.  We had a party for her. Ropes course and bowling with five of her friends. Then pizza and red velvet cake and ice cream.

526am start. Ran to meet Kim, Jane, Jen, Jenny, Angie and Jane (at Kim's) a mile a way.  Ran the Canyon loop which is uphill for 3.5 miles (mouth of Af canyon) then to Lone Peak road.  Ap 7:35 ish.  Watch didn't pick up first miles.  Then I went to VASA fitness at 9am to be evaluated.  Well...let's just say I am motivated to change my body form...but not motivated to pay money for the change.  Always money!! 33 a session (once a week) with routines written out for two other days as well and measurements etc...every month and diet teaching/supplements. Should I or shouldn't I????  I need a new challenge and I am so tired of this GUT!!!  Not gonna be easier with every year I put on this body either and with no more hormones!! SO something has to give!! GO ME!!  ha ha.  To be accountable my body fat is 32 percent!!! HELLO!! YUP. I am FAT!!!!  He said I burn off sugar and that the fat is stored to feed my muscles for all my RUNNING!! I NEED MUSCLE!!!!

4 miles increasing pace every 1/2 mile til there starting at 8:41 pace. 1 percent incline. Finished in 33:15.  Hot and sweaty indoors at Vasa.  Next ran 1 -5 min off/on starting at 610 pace for one min. 618 for two 627 for three 635 for four and 644 for five minutes. Rest time at 8:57 pace.  Safe to say I am so not into running fast.  Felt out of shape and dizzy. Walked some of the offs for a minute. Total time is forgotten sadly.  8 miles total. Did some core.

winter wonderland again...only colder and more icy.  but I was bundled quite well so I felt good.  Left at 1130am.  still black ice and crazy drivers looking at me like i am crazy??  NOT.  AP 8:15.  out and back to top of tri city golf street (alpine highway).

3 mile warmup starting at 8:41 and increasing to 7:30.  0 incline.  Then with Jane did 1 mile at 2 % incline at 6:58 pace (8.6mph).  One minute standing rest between all sets.  3% incline for 0.75 miles at 6:58 pace.  4% incline for 0.5 miles at 6:58 pace.  5% incline for 1/4 mile at 6:58 pace.  Then one mile 0 percent at 6:58 ap.  Then super incline work out which I couldn't complete accurately. I mean lets get real this is my forth speed work since St George marathon. One was impromptu down AF canyon four weeks ago.  The other was just last Thursday and was minute ons/offs progressive style and two weeks before that min on/offs.  Anyway the rest of the work out called "sweat for sweets" starts at 7% incline x 1 minute at easier pace than earlier. I followed Jane and did 7:30 (8mph).  We jump off after the minute for one minute standing rest then jump back on with treadmill still running after increasing incline another 1 percent. Doing this all the way to 15% incline.  I am not gonna lie first four I was fine.  Then holy holly!! no way.  I had no sugar left in me and my legs were mush. Not tight, just too light and weak. NO DRIVE LEFT.  So I did 30 seconds for the last ones from 11 percent to 15 percent bringing pace down to 8:00 (7.5mph) and down to 8:13 (7.3mph) for last one.  I nearly fainted.  I tried one swig of Kim's very watered down green tea at the start of these and honestly the after taste was nauseating not to mention I was working hard and I couldn't get rid of the taste mentally.  NEXT time I hope to have some of my own drink. A Gatorade to help me thru.  It was hard!!  I was soaked with sweat.  The idea for this workout.  Finished up with a fast mile at 6:45 pace (started at 6:58 and ended at 6:10 for last 30 seconds) and 0 percent and cooldown for 1/2 mile at 8:30 pace at 1 percent incline.   Went in the sauna for 10 minutes.  So cold outside (2 degrees when I was driving to gym)at 7:30am.
