| 4:20 AM run. lots to do today. yesterday's run was in the afternoon. I was really sore and went pretty slow. total running time 28:05. Then rode exercise bike for 16:55 to complete a 45 mintue work-out. total distance on bike 5.29 miles. | Add Comment |

just couldn't drag myslef out of bed in the morning and then was rushed in the evening so only had time for a short run. ran to CW track then did 5 laps (3 x 400 with active recover lap in bewteen). 400's in 1:30, 1:35, 1:40.

had a goal to break 23 minutes but got less than 5 hours sleep 2 nights in a row and that, together with the final 1.2 miles being uphill just got me. I was on track at the 2 mile mark but couldn't find another gear.
The age division place is only because all the serious 50-54 age groiup guys ran the 12K. My time was faster than last year but still way off where I would like to be. Losing 10 pounds would help.
anyway...the weather was wonderful. maybe I need to keep coming to this race even though we are moving to AZ? |

| total running time 41:50. out in 22:03 and back in 19:47. 18 seconds slower than last week but did this run on 2 days rest instead of 3.5 days rest. I have been really sore. If I weren't retiring from the army soon I would buy new boots but that is not worth it for 1.5 weeks. I have one more full day of work until I start clearing. it is so hard to believe. |

| I ran in the afternoon when it was 70 degrees. I also hadn't slept more than 4 hours at a stretch for 5 days. Lastly, I ran the seven mile route backwards with all the long elevation changes being uphill instead of downhill. This was took me 62:15 which was 3 minutes slower than what I ran it in just a week earlier. I was really tired afterwards too. |

| 30 minutes on the exercise bike. 9.53miles. I am really sore after the 7 minutes exercise program yesterday. Especially the glutei are sore. guess I really had not worked some of those muscles in awhile. The article says to use that as a warm-up before each run but I am not doint that routine again until Thursday. I am going to do some speed work tomorrow. | Add Comment |
