Tired this morning. We spent yesterday in Park City for my daughters soccer tournament and it's amazing how doing nothing makes you so worn out. I started this morning with the goal of a nice easy run, it turned out I ran a littler harder than I wanted to. But I felt good so why not.
Splits: 9:52, 9:36, 9:00, 8:31, 8:02, 4:32 (.56 Mile)

Busy weekend, Saturday in Park City for soccer a tournament. Sunday finishing my Motor Cycle Training class and then drove up to Bear Lake for the day. I was pretty exhausted this morning so I decided to sleep in. Just a short run this morning, I decided to do a 2 mile run and try to push it. I cut about 1 minute off my normal 1st mile up the hill, not too bad especially when I had to stop at about .8 because a dump truck didn't stop at a stop sign and about ran me over.
Splits: 9:00, 7:36, 0:14 (.03 Mile)

Good run this morning. I decided to do the 9 miler since I missed it yesterday. Felt really good until about 7.5 - 8 when it started to get a little warm. Nothing too bad though and I felt fine when I finished.

I'm having a hard time being motivated to run this week, but when I make myself go I'm glad I did and I've had good runs this week.

Hot and humid this morning so I just tried to take it easy. Started feeling kind of quesy just after 2.5 miles but it didn't last very long so I kept going. I've figured out when it gets above 70-75 in the morning I stuggle a little because I'm just not used to running when it's that hot. Despite the heat I added about .6 miles today to my normal run.
Splits: 10:01, 9:55, 9:16, 9:11, 8:58, 8:44, 8:17, 0:33 (.06 Mile)

The big 3 this morning hot, humid, and windy. Tried to take it nice and easy today again, I'm running a 5K in the morning and I think my daughter and son may run it with me so that will be nice. I'm looking forward to that I hope they run with me.

Race For Life (3.1 Miles) 00:28:30 | |
Race for Life in Ogden this morning. This is a 5K race/2 mile walk to benefit 3 families. Not a very good course if you were looking to make a good time. It started on the Odgen River Walk at Grant Ave. Very narrow and hard to run, my son ended up running with me and we were basically walking for around .5 or so just trying to get around people. But we weren't there to get a good time we were there to benefit the families. My son did great, he ran with me the whole way. He doesn't run at all and didn't train for this.
Splits:
Mile 1: 10:03 (Just trying to get around runners and walkers at this point) The end of the first mile is westward up the 21st street viaduct.
Mile 2: 8:57 Not so many people to go around, heading back east up the 21st street viaduct again.
Mile 3: 8:48 Passing more people.
Last .1: 0:40

Hard time getting to sleep on time last night. Stayed up late watching the Olympics and that great 400M Free Style relay where the US beat France by .08 and set a new world record, great race.
The run was great this morning, slightly cooler just a light breeze. Felt good this morning. Didn't look at my watch or pace for the entire run, just wanted to run how I felt today.
Splits: 10:00, 9:48, 9:15, 9:37, 9:12, 8:50, 8:51, 8:44, 8:14, 2:03 (.25 Mile)

A little windy this morning and slightly warmer. I don't know what was up with the GPS this morning but it marked my first mile about 30 yards longer than it usually does. Pretty uneventful today, but a good run otherwise.

Another great morning for a run. Just the usual walkers out this morning, got out a little late this morning I need to stop being so lazy in the morning and get out on time. Just tried to take it easy this morning.

A little short on sleep last night, my neighbor left his sprinklers on all night and they kept waking me up. I also had to get up a little early to deploy and app for work, so I decided to have a lazy run today. It started out lazy and then my mind kind of wandered and I ended up running the last half pretty fast, for me anyway.
I did get an interesting fortune for a runner in a fortune cookie today: 'You out distance all competitors'.

I hurt my back on Sunday trying to fix a flat tire on the lawn tractor. It was really sore when I got up this morning so I went back to bed. I think this week will have to be an easy recovery week. | Add Comment |

Good hard run today. It didn't start that way because my back still hurts, but when I got to 1 mile and was under 10 min. (all uphill) I decided to keep pushing it.

School started today so I had to get up early so I could get my run in and get my daughter to school. New shoes today so I just took it nice and easy, plus I didn't want to push it and hurt my back and hip again. Good run though, it was nice to get out for a long one after skipping it last week.
Splits: 10:10, 9:57, 9:28, 9:58, 9:29, 9:06, 9:06, 8:53, 8:34, 2:09 (.3 Mile)

Nice run this morning, the cold front started to move over right as I was starting and the winds switched from the south to the north and cooled down nicely. Today marks the 10th year since I started running in the morning. I've been running about 10.5 years all together. Hopefully I'll make it 20 and more.
Partial splits today, my watch battery died 5.48 miles in.

My legs felt tired this morning and I had a huge head ache when I got up. Running usually helps with the head ache and today it did as well. I think the change in schedule due to school starting is getting to me a little bit. Other than tired legs the run was great, nice morning. I didn't look at my watch today just ran how I felt.

Great morning for a run, the weather was pretty perfect. Good run today even though my right quad was sore. Don't really know why, I haven't done anything weird this week. Didn't effect my time too much though, I had a pretty good run today.
