Get my mileage back up, and just become a consistant runner again.

Run to run and be my best. Just enjoy it, and stop comparing myself to others running abilities, because it definitely discourages me!

Long-Term Running Goals:

To enjoy a very long life of running!

Break 6 min in the mile

Break 12 min in the 3200M

Break 20 min in the 5k

break 2 hours in the 1/2

Personal:

College Sophomore at SUU.

Majoring in Psychology and Sports Medicine.

Hope to be able to Coach one day, and show kids my love for running and inspire them to reach goals and do hard things they never thought they could do. I want others to feel how I feel about running.

This was such a fun run with the girls! We had to extend out towards green springs golf course because the loop we have is only 4. But no one wanted to go up that hill so we all just turned onto a side street! :) Ran through some sprinklers also. It ended up being like .25 over. It was fun to talk about the season and state with the girls. I think some of the girls have made it their goal to be first a state qualifying team and second even try and reach for the region title.. I think we could do it.. just gotta stick together!

AHH.. First time getting to practice late this summer! Ran warm up with Kaylee and did core exercises. Then I FORGOT SOCKS! I was so mad! Thanksfully Corey had some in the back of his car so I took off a little later than everyone and my legs were so sore. Caught some of the girls going three and ran with them for a minute and then ran the rest of the way with Coach Roberts. He rocks.

We talked a lot about the best way to get all the girls to run their best when everyone is at a different pace and fitness level. I think thats one of my biggest goals this year is to have that strong team bond. Where we are happy when someone from our team beats us or kicks us off varsity cause that means we have to fight to get our spot back! Thats something the boys team has that we need to develop. I think I'm going to try and do some team party type things during the summer when everyone is not so busy with school and we can just talk and become friends and team mates! ahhh I hope we can pull it off!

PM: 8 miles with the club. I am so dead.. It was really sad! Ha it was wierd cause my run this morning was so good. It was probably the 5 hours swimming at the lake that got me.. We got lost running parkway backwards. Strange how a run can look so different and confusing coming from the opposite directions. Hopefully my legs recover, running up in scofield tomorrow!

It is days like today when it seems like it is impossible to fit running into anything!!

My cousin took me out later in the evening on the four wheeler 4 miles away from the cabin so I just turned arond and ran back.. By the time I got off the four wheeler my legs were FROZEN from the cold air and the ride... So i started going and within the first mile there was a hill longer and steeper than sunrise! It sucked.. but I just told myself to push it up and then its all fine from there.. but after I got to the top. the rest of the run was just gradual up hill the whole way! Ha it was so slow.. But When i was done I felt so much better cause i atleast got it done.. Its funny how running works that way..

Woosh! Finally done with the week. Didn't know weither i was actually going to get all my miles in this week but everytime i doubted I just told myself it wasnt a question. Ran from the cabin down along the lake to a camp ground where some family from my moms side was staying.. Stopped and visited for a minute and then turned around and finished up about a mile and my brother picked me up!

Not totally sure how long it was.. But it was GOOD! Sorta..

Ha at the beginning we ran all together and it was nice.. its not like we're all going to be able to stick right next to each other the whole run cause you can't control 7 girls but team unity is good! Especially if it means we're pushing eachother.. Like on the hills.. It was good. We all worked together and stuck pretty close to a pack the whole time..

Definitely need to drink more water.. The workout wasn't like a crazy killer but I came so close to passing out just cause I was so dehydrated and light headed..

 

nice PM run with Sierra.. It flew by and felt like a nice pace....

warm up/core/5miler/6striders.. So Frustrated. I don't know what to do in these situations! There was the two group and some girls still pushing the pace a little to much at the begginning but it was ok cause we caught them after the first 2 miles or so and ran together but then Cassidy wasn't feeling to good so I tried to get everyone to run with her cause coach told us we need to run as a team... But No one would.. So what do we do.. let cassidy go and stick the rest of us together or all stick with Cassidy?? Hmm... HELP! I really want it to be a TEAM this year!

 

3 mile PM run... SOO hot! ahhhh atleast I got it done! :)

warm up/core/6 miles with 4x1min Rpace and 6X30sec R pace..

I listened to coaches advice yesterday to bring my chest forward instead of running upright and putting the breaks on myself. It really helped but I struggled really bad with breathing today. The speed part of it felt good but I struggled with staying with it during recovery jogs and keeping my breathing controlled. Hopefully a day without a PM run will help me recover..

warm up/core/4mile/6xstriders

Good run today Ran with Rachel and the other girls a lot of the way.... Trying not to force the whole team thing but still keep us together.. it was good..

club run. It was a good turn out.. FOR THE BOYS! only three of us girls. But its getting better. And it was such a fun run! It was dying hot so we ran with water. That was a first. And we just had fun and stayed safe by keeping cool and running through lots of sprinklers. Couldn't keep track of the loop the boys went on so we just went on a run we already knew. Legs felt good it was just the feet that ached. Probably cause I still haven't gotten new shoes. All the hard workouts are done for the week! I love it!

I've really felt the passion for running come back STRONG this week. It feels good to remember WHY you get out there every day! :)

warm up/core/4 miler

Ran the suggested course for region.. It was... interesting :) ha me and Kaylee were DEAD from yesterdays run so we kinda didn't know what we were doing.. But the course was a lot of grass! I think If I got use to it and the grass was cut I could like it! :) as much as a XC course is likeable!

stomache still getting to me and my shoes are COMPLETELY dead.. Suppose to go 5 with the level 2 girls. I ended up only going 3 and at the last hill leading up to the elementary school I stopped and took my shoes off and went barefoot the rest of the way, they were hurting me that bad!

warm up/core/5mile hill workout.

2mile warm up- had to go to the bathroom bad so stopped and lost the team but met them at the hill.. Legs kinda sore

4x1min hills- They felt pretty good. I couldn't hold onto the other three girls totally but I was probably only 2 seconds behind. Legs were sore and REALLY hard to push up the last hill but it was a strong workout.

6x30second hills- Finished it! ha thats what matters. It was pretty good. Felt strong on most of them. Coach told us once we got to him we should pick up the pace since we were getting tired it really wouldn't make us go any faster but it would atleast keep us at the same pace. It really helped!

2 mile cool down.

warm up/core/4mile run/6striders/ultimate frisbee

fun run with the girls. Its just been the four of us the last couple days. Feet reallly ached today! I'm hoping its not the new shoes! Went out by sandbergs pond. Got lost but kaylee found the right route for us but the other girls had already turned around to go somewhere else... So we broke up and all ended up back at the school eventually! ha after we did 6 striders and played some ultimate. I really need to be getting better sleep!

 

Club run with Sierra and Kaylee. Felt pretty good, starting to not dread this longer runs as much, Feet have been aching from the shoes still but not as bad! I really hope they work out cause I kinda got them dirty on the run today! good run all together :)

Warm up/core/6x1min fartleks+8x30sec fartleks.

I am not sure if it was 5 or 6? but it Felt good today! My breathing was MUCH better and I really felt strong during them I would just stare at Sierra's back and let that pull me along. Good workout overall.

Warm up/core/5mile/6xstriders

Nice run today. Felt strong and legs were recovering. I fell behind the group while trying to kick a stinking rock so it was nice to kinda think out on my own for a little bit again. I needed it! Towards the last mile or so my toes started to go numb.. I don't know what from? Maybe the shoes still? I don't know. But it was a good run.

Not getting a lot of sleep is not a very good idea! But These hills were nice.. Rough but felt them making me stronger. 6x1min hills then 8x30 seconds.

Good Run today! Ran with all the sophomores.. Wow their crazy! Ha felt strong and had fun listening to them go off on their little stories! My shin hurts from kicking tason yesterday! Last time I fight him!

8 mil club run! Oh my GOSH! Me and Kaylee had to best long run ever! It felt so good! the pace was so strong the whole time! We talked about it after and we both just stayed positive and ran good. It was raining and way windy! At some points it was pushing against us so hard but we just dug hard! I loved it! Toes still going numb but I don't know what to do about it..

warm up/cores/4 miler

Warm up was shorter seeing as we were at a different park today. Went for a run in my part of town.. except I never use the trails so it was an adventure... Kinda sucked on the way out there.. But on the way back I just stopped thinking and went! It was much nicer!  good run talking with coach roberts.
