AHH.. First time getting to practice late this summer! Ran warm up with Kaylee and did core exercises. Then I FORGOT SOCKS! I was so mad! Thanksfully Corey had some in the back of his car so I took off a little later than everyone and my legs were so sore. Caught some of the girls going three and ran with them for a minute and then ran the rest of the way with Coach Roberts. He rocks.
We talked a lot about the best way to get all the girls to run their best when everyone is at a different pace and fitness level. I think thats one of my biggest goals this year is to have that strong team bond. Where we are happy when someone from our team beats us or kicks us off varsity cause that means we have to fight to get our spot back! Thats something the boys team has that we need to develop. I think I'm going to try and do some team party type things during the summer when everyone is not so busy with school and we can just talk and become friends and team mates! ahhh I hope we can pull it off!

PM: 8 miles with the club. I am so dead.. It was really sad! Ha it was wierd cause my run this morning was so good. It was probably the 5 hours swimming at the lake that got me.. We got lost running parkway backwards. Strange how a run can look so different and confusing coming from the opposite directions. Hopefully my legs recover, running up in scofield tomorrow! |
