Short-Term Running Goals:

Get my mileage back up, and just become a consistant runner again.

Run to run and be my best. Just enjoy it, and stop comparing myself to others running abilities, because it definitely discourages me!

Long-Term Running Goals:

To enjoy a very long life of running!

Break 6 min in the mile

Break 12 min in the 3200M

Break 20 min in the 5k

break 2 hours in the 1/2

Personal:

College Sophomore at SUU.

Majoring in Psychology and Sports Medicine.

Hope to be able to Coach one day, and show kids my love for running and inspire them to reach goals and do hard things they never thought they could do. I want others to feel how I feel about running.

AM: We were a little late to morning practice like 2 minutes... So Me and Kaylee just ran together.. It was a nice run! Its so nice in the mornings and I got Hyper!

 

PM: trail run. 2mile 1mile tempo.. The first part was strong but started to cramp up and get discouraged.. :(

AM: 3 miles and striders before team breakfast

PM:2 miles after we got up north to get the bus ride out of our legs.. I love our team! We are all so close this year and this was such a fun run running with both boys and girls! It rocks!

Nervous for this race! but it was so awesome! Woke up and got out to the track. The whole team did one loop around the course to see where it went. Then I had to wait about 2 hoursish for my race.. A little before my race I started getting warmed up but I guess I was going extra slow cause I almost missed my race! But I guess that got the adrenaline pumping cause I had such a fun race.. All I was focused on was passing girls and going fast. It was fun and I love this course!! A mile or so cool down afterwards.

AM: Got up early and did 3 at home today cause I've got royalty junk to do this morning... It was good. I was very suprised on how good my legs felt after yesterdays runathon! :)

 

PM:warm up and run over to sunrise and then 4 hills... It was tough but It went by pretty quick and felt good.... I've just really enjoyed running these last couple days.. It feels so good!

AM: I am so happy to say I ran 3 this morning. I woke up a little later than planned so when I started running I thought oh maybe I'll just do 2 miles... Then I got going and the loop I do is .3 miles so I ran 7 and then thought oh just one more and kept doing that till it got down to me having like 2 minutes till my ride came and 1 loop to go to make it 3 miles.. So I just booked it and made it barely before they came! :)

PM: Long day with no sleep. I almost turned around at 4 and then I just trucked through.. It ended up being a good run I ran with Micheal and we had a pretty good pace going.. He's a way awesome kid. I have loved running so much lately!!!!!

AM: Artic circle with Kaylee. This is one of the first days my legs have really slowed me down. But I still got it done and we talked to whole way so it went fast and was fun! :)

PM: Pyraminds. 6,8,10,12,12,10,8,6. Really pushed myself and was way happy with this workout! Got the times I wanted too!

SPEED! 6x800. Oh gosh I know your getting sick of hearing me say I love running! My legs hurt pretty bad and were pretty tight but I'm figuring out how to work through that and just ignore it and GO! It was a good workout with good times and good mentally. Pushed myself the whole time and got times I was shooting for.. stayed between 3:28 and 3:40. The other week I couldn't get under 4:30! CRAZY!

AM: Artic circle and me and kaylee were actually on time so we got to run with all them! It rocked! :) I was a little hyper! It was so fun. Our team is so tight! It rockss.

 

PM: AT. I really usually don't like AT but just like every run lately I loved it! :) I pushed it and I was ahead of summer of our higher varsity girls and I kept asking myself if I was pushing it maybe to hard but then I would shake it off cause I felt good and it felt like a pretty good pace.. Nothing that would make me pass out like race pace. but it definitely wasn't comfortable and I wanted to be done. Especially at the end with the two big hills. But I just dug it in! :)

blah blah blah!! morning run! my legs were so sore! Ha but it was fun me and kaylee were actually pretty quiet but I've learned how to push past the little pains a lot better that use to just slow me way down.

8 miler.. Much much better than morning ran with cassidy and Stefani and had tons of fun. It was wierd cause I kept having to pull back to stay with them. at about 5 miles stef had to go potty bad so we stopped at a girls house that we knew and she went and then after that I pulled away from them and finished the last 3 on my own.. It felt way good and even though my butt was sore and my legs were sore I finished strong and did striders! LOVED IT!

ran the PV course for the Dual in the Desert. I like it! But my legs were way dead today! Better stretch them out for the race! Then we did striders. After practice we had a meeting in coaches room about how to focus and control your body with positive thinking.. It was really cool!

AM: Artic Circle! Thanks goodness we had this run in the morning cause my legs were full of crap yesterday afternoon and this helped get everything out and made them feel much better!

PM: RACE!!! Made sure I got a good warm up in! Got to the line and tried really hard to control my nerves!!! It worked pretty well cause I had a really good race and focused very well! Nerves distract me too much I've found out. But it felt good and passed people strong. I started hurting around mile 2 but pushed through it and had a really strong finish again! I love finishing hard it feels good! I'm only 9 seconds away from varsity!! I'm so excited for the next race... maybe I can close that gap more! Made sure I got a good cool down in also.. I think thats something we need to focus on alot! :)

warm up and 6 miles over foremaster... The beginning two miles were ROUGH.. I wasn't feeling good at all.. But I finally loosened up and I ran with Rob and Dyllen.. Its kinda fun running with them! :) We got to the water park and I knew I shouldn't stop for too long or I wouldn't want to start so I grabbed a drink from the water fountain and saw that Sierra was leaving so I asked if I could come along and I finished the rest with her! It was fun.. My legs ached a little but I pushed through it and it felt like a good pace.. :)

PM: SOOO CLOSE! I put to much pressure on myself and stressed out. I really wanted to finish 7th on the team and get on varsity.. I got closer though! Its now down to 5 seconds! I'm ready for it. But Next race I'm going to not put to much pressure on it. Just run because I love to run and push myself the hardest I can and then I know I can get what I'm reaching for!!!

AM: Three in the morning.. The girls were BOOKING IT! But it was fun.. The last part through the neighborhood is always my favorite!!!

PM: Ok so... all day I was SOO ready for a long run.. Like it actually sounded fun.. And then someone told me it was speed and I was ready to flip a buiscut! Then someone told me ohh its only AT so I was like SWEET! lets do this.. Then it turned out to be speed again!!! but it was a good workout! Like always! :) I hit ALL of them pretty good except one :( I don't know if this is the exact order of them but I think it went something like..

am: three miles with Kaylee. Just me Kaylee and Danny today.. I think Ethan and Jordan were around somewhere too..

RACE: :) :) :) I can't believe this! I felt so good. Pushed it so hard! And had an amazing time on this course! I figured out the mile 1.5 is the area I need to work on.... I start to get tired and give in a little bit.. But at the beginning of mile three I passed coach roberts and he told me I was 30th... I really felt like just sitting there but then I took that last lap hard and ended up getting 5ish more girls and got somewhere around 25.. My time is a huge PR by like a minute! I reached my goal by a long shot! Gotta keep working though. Don't congratulate yourself too much!!

??? I am going to have to check on the distance for this.. we did our warm up and drills.. then did a 2 mile warm up. Then we did 8 stadiums! NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE EVER! Crazy hard! you run up and down up and down up and down... I dont know how many times.. And then across the track.. and then up... and then around... and at the flag pole we started dead sprinting!! AHHHHH That probably made no sense to you! hahaha but it was hard and I was glad it was over... then did a DI cool down.. side cramps and dehydrated.. needs to drink more tomorrow!

AM: Good run this morning! Fun.. Legs felt better than expected but still crazy sore!! Um I love our team! Plain and simple.

PM: AT. My legs were kinda out of it.. I struggled up the hills at the end. Probably cause I was still distracted and scared from the PIT BULL that wasn't tied up that we ran past. But it was still strong and fun! LOVE it.

Ok. I feel so wierd running such low miles!!! It was a good run though!! Fun stories. Don't know what to think about the race tomorrow but I'm not going to stress about it cause I always stress TOO much and end up hurting myself mentally! READY TO RUN! :)
