Short-Term Running Goals:

Get my mileage back up, and just become a consistant runner again.

Run to run and be my best. Just enjoy it, and stop comparing myself to others running abilities, because it definitely discourages me!

Long-Term Running Goals:

To enjoy a very long life of running!

Break 6 min in the mile

Break 12 min in the 3200M

Break 20 min in the 5k

break 2 hours in the 1/2

Personal:

College Sophomore at SUU.

Majoring in Psychology and Sports Medicine.

Hope to be able to Coach one day, and show kids my love for running and inspire them to reach goals and do hard things they never thought they could do. I want others to feel how I feel about running.

So I was talking to Sierra on the warm up and I always thought that coach said that we should record our warmup miles or our strider miles but sierra said she always does.. She we asked coach after we were done with our warm up and he said of course you blog them! ha there are so many miles that I haven't blogged just in warm ups and striders... Just today I got 1.5 from them.. ha oh gosh!!! but Ummmm todays run was kind of fatigued but my shins were doing pretty alright... just a little tightness.. I iced them still and after the four miler we did striders and lifting.. it was pretty nice! :)

AM: Nice run with Sierra.. We did this kind of fast cause we wanted to keep aneye on tyson cause he just took off and coach wasn't here today.. But It felt good so it didn't bother me...

PM: Warm up and drills... then just a nice 5 with ashley G. and Cassidy.. It was fun and we talked alot so it was fun.. Then I finished up with eight striders! These are the days that I run for... :)

I didn't really ask coach how long this workout was so I did it in my head and It came out to about this with all the warm ups and cool downs and stuff..

we did a 2 mile warm up. Then I just got started cause I wanted to be DONE! So we started with a 600 and then two 400s and then three 300s and then five 200s. It was way hard to get through some of these and some of them just didn't feel like I could go.. My lungs from being sick were kind of off but all around I think I gave it my best effort and it felt pretty good. I iced after..

I dont really remember exactly what I ran each day but I think my week total was about 20.. maybe a little more.. My legs were in bad shape all week.. :(

YES! good start to the week... Kinda. ha morning run hurt but it was good to get my legs moving again.. Ran 6 with Rachel and Laura from DH came over to run with us... Me and rach did a mile of barefoots after.

The workout sheet said this was a 6 mile run so... Ha but this was SOOO fun.. I loved it. I ran the warm up to the trail with Rachel P. who is coming back to PV :) and then she turned around and I took of... It was a 2min hard, 1 min easy, 1 min hard, 30sec easy. 30sec hard, 30sec easy. I loved it.. The time flew by and I was pushing really hard. It hurt but it was finally a good hurt not a injury hurt ha. On the cool down home my shins cramped a little but it wasn't a big deal. When I got back I just stretched out..

I love this spring break work out stuff.. Its so much nicer than waiting all day to do your hard workout... I wish it was summer!!!

So my mileage count is kind of wierd today. But I am just going to go with what the workout sheet says.

So I didn't go to practice today but I got up at 6 to go on a hike with my brother and some friends up in kanab. So we went on a 8 mile hike and while we were up there the trail seemed like it was never going to ernd so they sent me ahead running to find the end.. which I never found.. So I ran a little on the hike.. Then when I got back down and we got back into st george I went for a 4 mile run and then did some barefoot striders after... So I decided even though it was walking my hike can count for 2 miles.. the running part of the hike was about a mile... so thats 3 and then 4 miles and striders makes 8.... oh and I went to Young womans after I ran and we play capture the flag there so I ran around there more... crazy day!

Ha I was DEAD from yesterday and I haven't done a hard workout for a little while so I didn't totally hit my times but I know that I gave it all I had and I felt really good about this workout. I ran with a watch for the first time on one of these and it helped so much. I think I'm going to start doing it all the time.

5 miles out with sierra. At the beginning I thought I was done for. I had already lost sierra AND rachelP within the first 3 minutes.. But my legs finally came back to me and I caught up to sierra and we went for a 5 mile out on some random trails by fire station.. It was fun. Striders after. Sierra had her watch on while we did them and we did seven and had already hit a mile. I think we did them a little long though cause we did them on the baseball field.. then lifted after..

three miles around six.. It was tough but I did it.. thats whats counts right?? ha

I can really feel spring break wearing and me.. ha it feels good though.. Even though I'm dead by the end of the day I feel like I'm getting things done and having fun.. Long run tommorow!

8 miles easy.

Long run today! It was way crazy! way fun!! went out with sierra and we combined all sorts of runs.. greensprings, firestation, dogpound, and then finished out in the fields... It was way fun.. I was feeling pretty good about my mileage until I looked at coaches blog and saw he ran 42 TODAY ha maniac!

-Pretty easy runs.. No enjoyable.. Well the 4 miler and striders killed me.. I have a killer cough and I seriously was wondering if I was going to sufocate on this run. When we stopped my whole throat would just close up and I would take short gasping breaths to get oxygen in.. After we did 8 striders..

-Tonight I really didn't want to run. But I forced myself out there.. After work I drove over to the school and did AC I can't stand running in coral canyon so even though AC is brutal because we do it so much.. It was better than CC.. This run was a little better than the morning run. It was cold and windy but my pace felt stronger...

this was a good but tough one.. I was really nervous about a hard workout to start out with cause my breathing and cough have been way bad.. and my legs have been bothering me.. But I did the 2 mile warm up and my legs were pretty stiff...

1st- 4:21

3rd- 4:45

4th- 4:25

rough.. Especially that third one I DIED but I really tried hard to bring it back down for the last one.. then cooled down with rachel.

legs were way dead.. only hit my first 800 time... I hit all my two hundreds under by atleast 2 seconds.. some by 7 seconds.. cool down was way slow!

easyy easyy day!! :) except the race is tomorrow! AH IM SO NERVOUS! I just got to stay focused... Do the best I can. I've done what I can in the workouts.. now its just time to race! ahhhh..

AWESOME!!! I really had the toughest (mentally, emotionally, and physically all combined) running day ever on monday.. And today was awesome!!!

today we did 2 mile warm up

2x1000's

4x200s

2 mile cool down

8xbarefoot striders

lifting

for the 1000's me and sierra hit comfortably 20 seconds faster.. and the 200's we hit way under. we were suppose to hit 47 and the slowest one we did was a 45. I really needed this workout for my season.. I really was almost done yesterday! ah.. Crazy!
