Short-Term Running Goals:

Get my mileage back up, and just become a consistant runner again.

Run to run and be my best. Just enjoy it, and stop comparing myself to others running abilities, because it definitely discourages me!

Long-Term Running Goals:

To enjoy a very long life of running!

Break 6 min in the mile

Break 12 min in the 3200M

Break 20 min in the 5k

break 2 hours in the 1/2

Personal:

College Sophomore at SUU.

Majoring in Psychology and Sports Medicine.

Hope to be able to Coach one day, and show kids my love for running and inspire them to reach goals and do hard things they never thought they could do. I want others to feel how I feel about running.

ohh goodness RACE DAY! nerves all day long!!!!

Race time came and I was so nervous but we took off

i think this was roughly my splits

I felt good and strong except for the middle 200 of the fourth lap.. When I talked to coach he told me I moved up strong but can't let my last 3 laps slip like that.

the two mile.. What an experience! never ran it before... crazyyy nervous! I started out in the middle of the pack again.. Struggled with getting trapped on the corners a lot throughout the first couple laps.. When everyone settled in though I passed people pretty strong. Then I battled it out with a snow canyon girl pretty much the whole race.. I was ahead... Then she caught me and i worked on catching her.. Caught her and we ran together for a couple laps.. Everytime I went to pass she would pick up and elbow me! ha but I finally shook her off and passed her and one more girl before I finished... 14:29

3 miles in the morning! CRAP! I really dont know what to do about my leg..

6 miles easy.. really long.. my leg struggled bad on hills...

I am mentally struggling really bad with this no running thing. It effects everything! I never realized how much a run in the morning can jump start your day and get it started so positive.. Even going to the gym every morning and 2 hours every night isn't doing anything.... I love running.. I dont know how many more days I can be trapped in a gym!

1/2 a mile of striders

i didnt count the walking as part of my miles.. It was an awesome day to just be out running though! :) can't wait to be better! painful today but the doctor said to expect it..

Boring but good.. I've come out of this injury (well not totally out but you know what I mean) with a awesome mind set.. Usually I come out of it really impatient and just ready to get back into the full swing of things.. This time I've come out with a true true passion for running... I just love to be out there with the team (or alone)! I'm not saying I don't care about getting back to being faster! Ha of course! But I think this gave me a clearer mind on the sport and will even drive me to push my self faster and faster during those times when I really just want to let go!
