Fun run down the dog pound.. Only expected to go three then we decided to go four and then we tried creating an extention but we didnt have a lot of time to get lost so we are going to try it again another day when we have sierra's watch and some more time! :) |

Holy hannah green springs six sucks on the way out there but on the way back its a blast!!!! haha slow six but I'm hoping my legs loosen up by next week!

AM: 3 just to AC Ha I need new shoes I think cause I'm starting to get that consistant throb in my calfs and shins... Ha great first morning practice with me being the only one was a little intimidating being the only one running with coach HA but it felt nice to know I did it.. I forgot how accomplished morning workouts feel through out the day... :)

5- 2x800 repeats 200m recovery and 2mile warm up and cool down.... after i lifted and played frisbee thats why i added the half mile on to my distance for the day! :) hahahaha it was pretty tiring! |

wow it feels wierd to blog little miles like this again! :) hahaha easy day.. Much needed cause I was so out of it today! Ha this short week has seemed to go on forever.. Kind of ironic.. But it was a good run.. The first part was rocky but towards the end it felt good. |

am- 3. Yep I am VERY ready for new shoes! argh they hurt..
pm- I started after everyone... Like 45 minutes.. cause I went to help Micci out. It was kind of a slower run cause my legs are still throbbing but I did it.. Coach said I'm sort of transitioning from level 2 to 3 so he added an extra 400 hill in there. So I ran to the hill and then did a 400 hill. 2x200 hills and then another 400 hill. My 200's were pretty strong. The second half of those sunrise tire hills kill me!! But I finished and lifted after. Goood workout! | |
| | Oh wow... I was sooo excited when I heard coach tell me today was a four mile run.. I was expecting like 6 at the least!!!! It was sweet cause I got to run with rachel again today.. | | So I hurt my legs a little more than I realized with those old shoes so we were heading out to hills and I was in so much pain Rachel thought I was crying! So we ran to the running center. He said I was CRAZY tight. So he gave me some things to get rid of them. |

AM: three miler... Legs still pretty tight from yesterday but worked them out a bit..
PM: I wasn't even planning on doing the workout cause I was suppose to stay away from speed for a couple days cause of my shins. But coach told us the workout and I headed out with Rachel and Trevor's watch(I love running with a watch!!) but it just felt way good.. ok maybe not way good but it felt loads better from this morning and yesterday so I just went with it and did 6.75 miles with 30 min tempo. The tempo pace wierdly wasn't that hard but I picked it up a little bit faster than what I was designed to go. Coach said that would be ok. When we got back we did 2x200m repeats. Then went into the gym and lifted and then did 5xbare foot striders.. It was so nice to be done!! |

Me and Rachel were heading out for our easy 4 miler a little bit behind the rest the team because I stopped to talk to Rachel Pulsipher who was at the school. So right when we got onto the busy street and were catching up to the team one of the girls stopped running and was limping way bad so me and Rach stopped to see if she would be ok but she couldn't stand but she couldn't sit either because it hurt so bad.. So I told Rachel to stay there with her and I ran back to my car and brought it over and drove her back to the school and then we carried her into Mark. It was scary cause just hitting the bumps in the road hurt her.
So AFTER all that me and Rachel started our run.. Like a half hour after everyone else... It felt good! Whats funny is when we started heading out the first time I felt like crap but after we helped her to the school the second time we left felt so much better. We did striders after and it flew by.. It was a great run today.. Nice and easy! :) |

AM: 3. At the beginning I thought I was not going to be able to stay with them at all. But five minutes into it things calmed down and I stuck just fine..
PM: funniest six miler ever! Me and Sierra both wanted to just do something fun, enjoy running and just getting out there again.. so After we got to the park in Green Springs and were heading back we tried to think of games to play.. We were doing crazy stuff like running in the turning lane for like 2 miles and all this crazy stuff... we finally made up this fun game where you have to list and remember all the random objects you see on the side of the road whille your running and you have to keep adding to the list but remembering everything... it was way fun! Ha |

Just today I got 1.5 from them.. ha oh gosh!!! but Ummmm todays run was kind of fatigued but my shins were doing pretty alright... just a little tightness.. I iced them still and after the four miler we did striders and lifting.. it was pretty nice! :) |

I didn't really ask coach how long this workout was so I did it in my head and It came out to about this with all the warm ups and cool downs and stuff..
we did a 2 mile warm up. Then I just got started cause I wanted to be DONE! So we started with a 600 and then two 400s and then three 300s and then five 200s. It was way hard to get through some of these and some of them just didn't feel like I could go.. My lungs from being sick were kind of off but all around I think I gave it my best effort and it felt pretty good. I iced after.. |

The workout sheet said this was a 6 mile run so... Ha but this was SOOO fun.. I loved it. I ran the warm up to the trail with Rachel P. who is coming back to PV :) and then she turned around and I took of... It was a 2min hard, 1 min easy, 1 min hard, 30sec easy. 30sec hard, 30sec easy. I loved it.. The time flew by and I was pushing really hard. It hurt but it was finally a good hurt not a injury hurt ha. On the cool down home my shins cramped a little but it wasn't a big deal. When I got back I just stretched out..
I love this spring break work out stuff.. Its so much nicer than waiting all day to do your hard workout... I wish it was summer!!! | |

So my mileage count is kind of wierd today. But I am just going to go with what the workout sheet says.
So I didn't go to practice today but I got up at 6 to go on a hike with my brother and some friends up in kanab. So we went on a 8 mile hike and while we were up there the trail seemed like it was never going to ernd so they sent me ahead running to find the end.. which I never found.. So I ran a little on the hike.. Then when I got back down and we got back into st george I went for a 4 mile run and then did some barefoot striders after... So I decided even though it was walking my hike can count for 2 miles.. the running part of the hike was about a mile... so thats 3 and then 4 miles and striders makes 8.... oh and I went to Young womans after I ran and we play capture the flag there so I ran around there more... crazy day! |

-Pretty easy runs.. No enjoyable.. Well the 4 miler and striders killed me.. I have a killer cough and I seriously was wondering if I was going to sufocate on this run. When we stopped my whole throat would just close up and I would take short gasping breaths to get oxygen in.. After we did 8 striders..
-Tonight I really didn't want to run. But I forced myself out there.. After work I drove over to the school and did AC I can't stand running in coral canyon so even though AC is brutal because we do it so much.. It was better than CC.. This run was a little better than the morning run. It was cold and windy but my pace felt stronger... |

| | ohh goodness RACE DAY! nerves all day long!!!! Race time came and I was so nervous but we took off i think this was roughly my splits 1:26 1:43 1:49 1:40 I felt good and strong except for the middle 200 of the fourth lap.. When I talked to coach he told me I moved up strong but can't let my last 3 laps slip like that. the two mile.. What an experience! never ran it before... crazyyy nervous! I started out in the middle of the pack again.. Struggled with getting trapped on the corners a lot throughout the first couple laps.. When everyone settled in though I passed people pretty strong. Then I battled it out with a snow canyon girl pretty much the whole race.. I was ahead... Then she caught me and i worked on catching her.. Caught her and we ran together for a couple laps.. Everytime I went to pass she would pick up and elbow me! ha but I finally shook her off and passed her and one more girl before I finished... 14:29 |

Boring but good.. I've come out of this injury (well not totally out but you know what I mean) with a awesome mind set.. Usually I come out of it really impatient and just ready to get back into the full swing of things.. This time I've come out with a true true passion for running... But I think this gave me a clearer mind on the sport and will even drive me to push my self faster and faster during those times when I really just want to let go! | |

Oh fun stuff!!! :) Dr. Boyer came today to do some CRACKIN hahaha it felt so wierd!! we looked at my legs and told me that one hip had been rotated back or forward or something causing one leg to be longer than the other.... He popped it back into place and said that could help with lots of my problems! That would be cool! haha after I went out on a 4 miler with some girls.. The first part felt way good and then my breathing was off a little... My main problem was just my core.. I'll have to work out that!! It felt good to be out there though! Then down a little ways and up again with Kareena. Then down to half way and up to the top again alone. Down again almost to the bottom and up to almost half way with Kareena again. Then down and back up till I ran into Kaylee and Sierra and then back down! Then a cool down! stretched and core workout when I got home.. |

Fairground qual lake run- Had my leader driver me out and see how far 2.5 miles was from the fair grounds. Me and Kaylee got up early and went down the qual lake road. It was really pretty but a little to dark to see anything. Very hilly, I struggled around the third mile. It was a good run though. |

Leg 6: 6.9- This was a strong run for me.. The first 1.5 miles was brutal cause I wasn't expecting the up hill at all.. after that I totally dropped. It was tough with the dirt and rocks and the switch backs and all the cars getting ready to kill me!!!! finished 4 minutes faster than predicted.
leg 18: 8.1- dead of night, all up hill! SO FUN! I had so much fun on this run! When I started I was so scared cause my legs were soo sore from the down hill earlier but once I got going everything felt good and I just ran it for myself to remember how much I love running! The hills were tough but I passed tons of people and I finished 12 minutes faster than predicted time.
leg 30: 3.1 My easiest leg but yet the biggest mental struggle. It was tough.. I was dead and sore and tired! ha but I pushed it.. It was hard. I sprinted the last maybe 200 meters and total biffed it in the shoot passing off to cassidy. It was funny. I would have finished probably 2 or 3 minutes faster than estimated but I got stopped at a stop light for literally like 3 minutes! It was retarded! |

My butt hurts so bad! Ha sounds wierd.. But ever since wasatch its been pulling way bad! I gotta stretch it out I guess. .5 warm up on the grass with core and drills and then just a 3 mile run today.. After we did a mile of barefoot striders and played ultimate.. It was fun! Tomorrow I gotta see if I can borrow someones GPS cause I am going to the GRAND CANYON on saturday and it would be the prettiest thing ever to be able to run out there!!!!!!! | |

Rear end still kills. It was a pretty good run... Felt strong mentally for most of it but not comfortable to I had to really work to keep the pace instead of just letting myself drop. It was fun though.. Ran with Kaylee and then caught up with Sierra to run through some sprinklers... TWICE! haha it was nice and relaxing.. Running in the GRAND CANYON tomorrow! I'm so excited! |

grass warm up, core excercise. parkway. This run was FUN. I started out with sore legs and then they started to feel good and without even really thinking about it the pace just kinda picked up.. Ran with Kaylee the whole time, she is awesome, felt good! 6 barefoot striders after.
3 miler at night with Kaylee, Rachel, And Sierra. We wanted to do a fun night run so we ran from Sierra's to the double churches on washington fields road and then her parents picked us up! The pace was good and fast, I liked it. Hopefully my body agrees tomorrow at practice!! |

This was such a fun run with the girls! We had to extend out towards green springs golf course because the loop we have is only 4. But no one wanted to go up that hill so we all just turned onto a side street! :) Ran through some sprinklers also. It ended up being like .25 over. It was fun to talk about the season and state with the girls. I think some of the girls have made it their goal to be first a state qualifying team and second even try and reach for the region title.. I think we could do it.. just gotta stick together! |

AHH.. First time getting to practice late this summer! Ran warm up with Kaylee and did core exercises. Then I FORGOT SOCKS! I was so mad! Thanksfully Corey had some in the back of his car so I took off a little later than everyone and my legs were so sore. Caught some of the girls going three and ran with them for a minute and then ran the rest of the way with Coach Roberts. He rocks.
We talked a lot about the best way to get all the girls to run their best when everyone is at a different pace and fitness level. I think thats one of my biggest goals this year is to have that strong team bond. Where we are happy when someone from our team beats us or kicks us off varsity cause that means we have to fight to get our spot back! Thats something the boys team has that we need to develop. I think I'm going to try and do some team party type things during the summer when everyone is not so busy with school and we can just talk and become friends and team mates! ahhh I hope we can pull it off!

It is days like today when it seems like it is impossible to fit running into anything!!
My cousin took me out later in the evening on the four wheeler 4 miles away from the cabin so I just turned arond and ran back.. By the time I got off the four wheeler my legs were FROZEN from the cold air and the ride... So i started going and within the first mile there was a hill longer and steeper than sunrise! It sucked.. but I just told myself to push it up and then its all fine from there.. but after I got to the top. the rest of the run was just gradual up hill the whole way! Ha it was so slow.. But When i was done I felt so much better cause i atleast got it done.. Its funny how running works that way.. |

Ha at the beginning we ran all together and it was nice.. its not like we're all going to be able to stick right next to each other the whole run cause you can't control 7 girls but team unity is good! Especially if it means we're pushing eachother.. Like on the hills.. It was good. We all worked together and stuck pretty close to a pack the whole time..
Definitely need to drink more water.. The workout wasn't like a crazy killer but I came so close to passing out just cause I was so dehydrated and light headed..

There was the two group and some girls still pushing the pace a little to much at the begginning but it was ok cause we caught them after the first 2 miles or so and ran together but then Cassidy wasn't feeling to good so I tried to get everyone to run with her cause coach told us we need to run as a team... But No one would.. So what do we do.. let cassidy go and stick the rest of us together or all stick with Cassidy?? Hmm... HELP! I really want it to be a TEAM this year!

I listened to coaches advice yesterday to bring my chest forward instead of running upright and putting the breaks on myself. It really helped but I struggled really bad with breathing today. The speed part of it felt good but I struggled with staying with it during recovery jogs and keeping my breathing controlled. Hopefully a day without a PM run will help me recover.. | |

club run. It was a good turn out.. FOR THE BOYS! only three of us girls. But its getting better. And it was such a fun run! It was dying hot so we ran with water. That was a first. And we just had fun and stayed safe by keeping cool and running through lots of sprinklers. Couldn't keep track of the loop the boys went on so we just went on a run we already knew. Legs felt good it was just the feet that ached. Probably cause I still haven't gotten new shoes. All the hard workouts are done for the week! I love it!

2mile warm up- had to go to the bathroom bad so stopped and lost the team but met them at the hill.. Legs kinda sore
4x1min hills- They felt pretty good. I couldn't hold onto the other three girls totally but I was probably only 2 seconds behind. Legs were sore and REALLY hard to push up the last hill but it was a strong workout.
6x30second hills- Finished it! ha thats what matters. It was pretty good. Felt strong on most of them. Coach told us once we got to him we should pick up the pace since we were getting tired it really wouldn't make us go any faster but it would atleast keep us at the same pace. It really helped!

fun run with the girls. Its just been the four of us the last couple days. Feet reallly ached today! I'm hoping its not the new shoes! Went out by sandbergs pond. Got lost but kaylee found the right route for us but the other girls had already turned around to go somewhere else... So we broke up and all ended up back at the school eventually! ha after we did 6 striders and played some ultimate. I really need to be getting better sleep!

Felt good today! Stuck in with all the girls. It was kinda cool at one point on a cool down I was looking around and we were running almost in like a perfect circle shape. We are doing really good at pushing each other.. I think we just need to work on our water breaks. Ha we stopped for water before the cool down. On workouts like this its not a big deal but maybe on easy runs try and eliminate it more.. Just a thought???? I am going to girls camp the rest of the week and I'm kinda bummed about it cause the season starts next week!!! | |

My legs didn't cramp near as bad as it was last week and I wasn't totally drained of energy.. Run with the varsity girls on the warm up today and then ran with JV for the workout of 800's. It was tough and it sucks not being at the speeds I want to be with the varsity girls but I am DETERMINED to race varsity this year weither it kills me and I'm going to be working my butt off to get there.. Its going to be way hard for sure cause those girls are so amazing and I'm so proud of how far they've come and I want to be apart of that for sure!!! I can do it! :) |

At first I just said settle in and finish but I kicked it and caught her and like 10 other girls! It reasured that I COULD race.. The only thing is I have to do it for the whole race! Nervous for this race! but it was so awesome! Woke up and got out to the track. The whole team did one loop around the course to see where it went. Then I had to wait about 2 hoursish for my race.. A little before my race I started getting warmed up but I guess I was going extra slow cause I almost missed my race! But I guess that got the adrenaline pumping cause I had such a fun race.. All I was focused on was passing girls and going fast. It was fun and I love this course!! A mile or so cool down afterwards. |

AM: I am so happy to say I ran 3 this morning. I woke up a little later than planned so when I started running I thought oh maybe I'll just do 2 miles... Then I got going and the loop I do is .3 miles so I ran 7 and then thought oh just one more and kept doing that till it got down to me having like 2 minutes till my ride came and 1 loop to go to make it 3 miles.. So I just booked it and made it barely before they came! :)

8 miler.. Much much better than morning ran with cassidy and Stefani and had tons of fun. It was wierd cause I kept having to pull back to stay with them. at about 5 miles stef had to go potty bad so we stopped at a girls house that we knew and she went and then after that I pulled away from them and finished the last 3 on my own.. It felt way good and even though my butt was sore and my legs were sore I finished strong and did striders! LOVED IT! |

PM: RACE!!! Made sure I got a good warm up in! Got to the line and tried really hard to control my nerves!!! It worked pretty well cause I had a really good race and focused very well! Nerves distract me too much I've found out. But it felt good and passed people strong. I started hurting around mile 2 but pushed through it and had a really strong finish again! I love finishing hard it feels good! I'm only 9 seconds away from varsity!! I'm so excited for the next race... maybe I can close that gap more! Made sure I got a good cool down in also.. I think thats something we need to focus on alot! :) |

I start to get tired and give in a little bit.. But at the beginning of mile three I passed coach roberts and he told me I was 30th... I really felt like just sitting there but then I took that last lap hard and ended up getting 5ish more girls and got somewhere around 25.. My time is a huge PR by like a minute! I reached my goal by a long shot! Gotta keep working though. Don't congratulate yourself too much!! | |

5 mile run and 4x200's. Really good run. Solid 200's fun to chill with this awesome team!
Its really tough for me to be content with how far I've come in running... I'm not a born runner and my body isn't any where close to being made for running.. So of course I can't be up there with the top dogs but I've come so far and I've achieved so much in running. It really amazes me to think of where I was 2 years ago. But sometimes I get frustrated cause I want to do so much more.. I wish I had one more year left of high school to get there! This season has just come and gone all to fast right when I've started to really enjoy the thrill of hard workouts and races... I guess I got track season... After that who knows where running will take me.. But I know its somewhere cause I can't give this stuff up! | |

I did exactly what I wanted. I am not going worry about what happens from here, weither coach decides to put me on varsity or not, cause I did my best and most importantly I had a blast doing it! Pete before the race told me, "Just tell you mind to shut up, and RUN" I did exactly what she said. Right when the gun went off I started stressing about everything, then I just told myself to just relax and role with it.. Then I kept pushing right to where I needed to be.. I wanted to get low 22's so I got where I wanted. Can't wait for region! |

2mile warm up/6,8,10,12 up and down/1.5 mile cool down.
Ohh goodness! Hardest workout ever! Just kidding but it was tough! I'm so sore from the race yesterday! Mentally I was doing alright, just kept digging when it hurt most but my legs were so cramped and tight and heavy it was CRAZY! I tried to get them to go and nothing would respond. Hopefully my legs recover for tomorrows run. |

Dang. Not much to say about this race. Been sick all week. Kept positive before th race. Tried not to let it get to me. But everything just hit me during the race and I just couldn't get my body to do anything! I guess sometimes its just not your day :( I still got track season though I guess... And winter training will be awesome! | |

harts.... 2x400, 2x200.... harts.. Ha didn't run all weekend cause I was sick with the flu so these were tough... My body had that feeling you get when you haven't ran for a while.. It feels like your so uncordinated and you don't know how to put one foot in front of the other! We went to IHOP as a team after practice... It was fun! :) |

| | I am not so sure how far I ran today but I'm gonna put this.. I ran 3 miles in the morning with micheal... I forced him to run with me cause I wanted to go but I couldnt go alone! hahaha... then I ran the warm up with the girls up at state... so that was like another mile.. and then I'm gonna give myself a mile for all the cheering and running I did cause I was sprinting everywhere for a good hour as a girls and then our boys raced! |

3.5 with kaylee and trevor.. kinda made me feel like a dork cause I'm running with both these amazing runners! haha but it was fun... we did the 2450 loop and that was the first run me and Kaylee ever went on together.. and it was her first run ever so it was fun to relive it and see how far we've come! :) breathing still hurt a little. |
| | ha me and kaylee just kept adding the miles.... we did a .5 warm up... coach told everyone who came out for the first day of winter training to do 3 and told us we could do that too... But we Kinda wanted to bump it up so we went 4.. on the run I felt so sick.. ready to throw up tons of times.. Once I got some water and rested I felt good so I asked Kaylee if she wanted to do striders so we did some fun 8 striders and then we just goofed off and did 3 or 4 more sprint type strider stuff.. it was just fun! :) |

So coach gave us the option of doing a run or starting with one hard workout a week.. At first I really didn't want to start with workouts.. but I knew I would be bummed so I got sierra to do it with me! We both hadn't ran over the weekend so our breathing was off but it was good. She did b etter than me cause I cramped up ALL over the place! but It was good.. felt good about it!!! |

such a fun run! We ran with like a group of over 15.. with both coaches.. some varisty boys... some other boys. and like five of us girls.. it was SOO fun!! just up to greensprings 3... and when we got back we did striders... I just had some stomache cramps.. which has been the theme all week! ha |

ARGH! New shoes time! I was planning on going farther today but then my legs cramped up still and I couldn't keep up with anyone! So we only went to artic circle and back. I felt bad cause I slowed Sierra down today but I am going to get new shoes tomorrow! we lifted after! Ha thats always an adventure with sierra! |

I HATE SIERRA! hahahah I don't really but I promised her I would put that on my blog!! hahahaha but these hills were sorta tough... it was cold and raining and I couldn't get my mind in to gear... Coach really helped though.. I like it when he yells at us to correct certian stuff. Helps me improve and makes the run go by better.... Still having stomache cramps up the wazoooo!! arghh |

an 8 miler with a mile of striders and lifting.
I'm getting way sick and I can feel it! It didn't really affect my running but lifting I could feel the fatigue.. what got me running today was the stomache again.... I had to stop and just curl in a ball until the pain went away at one point... :( ohh well.. it still feels good to get my miles up! |
| | six all alone.. :( I tried sticking with the boys but the run from yesterday and the fact that I had a knot the size of a fist in my calf. It really hurt when I was trying to get up and over foremaster but after that I kinda rubbed it out and it felt better... It was good to go out there and even when I wanted to go shorter i told myself that I HAD to finish... it was a good run over all.. really tight though! |
| | I didn't run 25 miles in one day! hahha but I fell behind on my blogging so I'm just putting the miles I ran on this one day.. I've been struggling with some lasting illnesses that I'm still trying to work out so my miles have been way down. I even had to stop running for about a week cause it just wasn't possible! :( |

| | Wahoo!! Sierra organized a fun group run for the "Last run of the Decade!" it was way fun!!! Sierra, me, Hailey, Megan, and monica showed up! The frodsham girls had plans so they cut back.. But the other three of us went 6 and it was nice and way fun!!!! We miss monica. The pace was way nice and I didn't get cramps until around the last mile. That was nice.! |
