Short-Term Running Goals:

Get my mileage back up, and just become a consistant runner again.

Run to run and be my best. Just enjoy it, and stop comparing myself to others running abilities, because it definitely discourages me!

Long-Term Running Goals:

To enjoy a very long life of running!

Break 6 min in the mile

Break 12 min in the 3200M

Break 20 min in the 5k

break 2 hours in the 1/2

Personal:

College Sophomore at SUU.

Majoring in Psychology and Sports Medicine.

Hope to be able to Coach one day, and show kids my love for running and inspire them to reach goals and do hard things they never thought they could do. I want others to feel how I feel about running.

AM: 3 just to AC Ha I need new shoes I think cause I'm starting to get that consistant throb in my calfs and shins... Ha great first morning practice with me being the only one was a little intimidating being the only one running with coach HA but it felt nice to know I did it.. I forgot how accomplished morning workouts feel through out the day...  :)

 

PM: Fun run out into Washington with Coach Roberts, Sierra, And Ashley.. It was good except I am really starting to feel the shoes! :( darn it i didnt want to have to spend money on some again!! :( Then we went and lifted and did some striders.. What a big day!! ha

7.5... i dont really know how much this was but the PVHS blog says it was 7.5 so i'll take it!! :) they were tough to push way hard but they weren't unbearable like a lot of workouts have been lately.... haha I really enjoyed this run.... Ready for morning tomorrow! :)

3 in the morning... Pretty good pace today.. My legs felt good and didnt feel like i needed new shoes..

 

5- 2x800 repeats 200m recovery and 2mile warm up and cool down.... after i lifted and played frisbee thats why i added the half mile on to my distance for the day! :) hahahaha it was pretty tiring!

wow it feels wierd to blog little miles like this again! :) hahaha easy day.. Much needed cause I was so out of it today! Ha this short week has seemed to go on forever.. Kind of ironic.. But it was a good run.. The first part was rocky but towards the end it felt good.

Three miles in the morning.. I missed the afternoon workout and I was way upset.. My mom asked me to come home and help her out with the kids while she went and ran errands and then she didn't get home till after dark! :( dang

am- 3. Yep I am VERY ready for new shoes! argh they hurt..

pm- I started after everyone... Like 45 minutes.. cause I went to help Micci out. It was kind of a slower run cause my legs are still throbbing but I did it.. Coach said I'm sort of transitioning from level 2 to 3 so he added an extra 400 hill in there. So I ran to the hill and then did a 400 hill. 2x200 hills and then another 400 hill. My 200's were pretty strong. The second half of those sunrise tire hills kill me!! But I finished and lifted after. Goood workout!

Oh wow... I was sooo excited when I heard coach tell me today was a four mile run.. I was expecting like 6 at the least!!!! It was sweet cause I got to run with rachel again today.. We talked about her lame boy problems the whole time.. Quiet funny :) Striders afterwards felt good... Nice easy run today! :)

REPEATS! 800's... My legs felt good but not all the way there yet.. I felt like I didn't have control over them like I wanted.. But it was a good run.. Lifting after made me realize how tired I am! Ha and so the season begins! :o

I hate not counting striders as part of my miles!! hahaha oh well... It was a four mile easy run today.. And all day during schoool I was so excited but then during eighth i looked out the window and it was snowing!!!! So the run was FREEZING and at the end we were PELTED... and then we had to do striders and my entire foot was numb.. it was crazy! ha Good to be done..

Some stuff came up after school so I only got my morning work out in.. I guess today was officially really the last day that I was allowed to miss workouts cause next week track starts!!

Ha wow... this went by smoothly but it was so boring.... I didn't know what to do to stay entertained.. I went over the big telegraph hill.. that was "fun" ha... glad I got the miles in though.

So I hurt my legs a little more than I realized with those old shoes so we were heading out to hills and I was in so much pain Rachel thought I was crying! So we ran to the running center. He said I was CRAZY tight. So he gave me some things to get rid of them.

wow.... ha thats all I have to say about the miles today!

AM: three miler... Legs still pretty tight from yesterday but worked them out a bit..

PM: I wasn't even planning on doing the workout cause I was suppose to stay away from speed for a couple days cause of my shins. But coach told us the workout and I headed out with Rachel and Trevor's watch(I love running with a watch!!) but it just felt way good.. ok maybe not way good but it felt loads better from this morning and yesterday so I just went with it and did 6.75 miles with 30 min tempo. The tempo pace wierdly wasn't that hard but I picked it up a little bit faster than what I was designed to go. Coach said that would be ok. When we got back we did 2x200m repeats. Then went into the gym and lifted and then did 5xbare foot striders.. It was so nice to be done!!

Me and Rachel were heading out for our easy 4 miler a little bit behind the rest the team because I stopped to talk to Rachel Pulsipher who was at the school.  So right when we got onto the busy street and were catching up to the team one of the girls stopped running and was limping way bad so me and Rach stopped to see if she would be ok but she couldn't stand but she couldn't sit either because it hurt so bad.. So I told Rachel to stay there with her and I ran back to my car and brought it over and drove her back to the school and then we carried her into Mark. It was scary cause just hitting the bumps in the road hurt her.

So AFTER all that me and Rachel started our run.. Like a half hour after everyone else... It felt good! Whats funny is when we started heading out the first time I felt like crap but after we helped her to the school the second time we left felt so much better. We did striders after and it flew by.. It was a great run today.. Nice and easy! :)

AM: 3. At the beginning I thought I was not going to be able to stay with them at all. But five minutes into it things calmed down and I stuck just fine..

PM: funniest six miler ever! Me and Sierra both wanted to just do something fun, enjoy running and just getting out there again.. so After we got to the park in Green Springs and were heading back we tried to think of games to play.. We were doing crazy stuff like running in the turning lane for like 2 miles and all this crazy stuff... we finally made up this fun game where you have to list and remember all the random objects you see on the side of the road whille your running and you have to keep adding to the list but remembering everything... it was way fun! Ha
