Ran on the Parkway trail with the kids, just cut it way short.  Achilees and back have been a mess.  My achilles was likely strained on my last long run and I am finally to the point of running, with some discomfort, after over two week off.  My back has been a mess seince last Monday.  I was doing some air squats and it seized up on me and I was basically crippled all of last week.  SI joint was super bad.  I have been so messed up the last 3 weeks!  Hopefully I can get going before it is too late.  7:58 ave

Ran short on the trail from Monarch.  Achilles was tight and hurt, but a bit better than yesterday.  Finished with .4 on the grass barefooted.  The barefoot hurt a bit too, but felt good in the end overall.  7:57 ave

Butterfield  Canyon was rough today.  My achilles is still jacked up!  The garde of the canyon didn't seem to help eiether.  Been dealing with it for a while now.  It did warm up a bit after a while going up, but down was rough too.  Hopefully I can hit a turning point here soon.  8:06 ave

Easy 1.5 miles to test out the Nike Zooms to see how the plate was with the achilles.  .5 miles on the grass.  It rained and felt good.  8:09 pace

Ute stampede 5k.  I only got .5 mile warm up because we were later getting out this morning.  I started slow and sped up as I went a bit (7:04, 6:30. 6:37).  Ended up 7th place with a 6:41 ave.  Jaren was 6th, but 2 minutes ahead, he didn't get out and race today right away and got stuck in the middle, bummer!

Achilles was about the same as the rest of the week, and didn't feel way bad after.  But after walking around the car show and everything I was getting pretty crippled up.  By the time we went to the rodeo I could hardly walk.

AM- Ran up Diamond Fork with the kids for the first run o camp.  achilles is still still and sore and I was slow.  Just trying to do a couple runs at camp.  Soaked in the hot pots,,,,,, and river at the bottom at the end. 10:35 ave

PM- This one was rougher.  Went up Canal Canyon 1.5 and back.  Pretty canyon, but I limped a lot, probably worse than earlier today.  Fun run though.  10:23 ave

South Skyline run.  I gimped for 3 miles on this one.  It was gorgeaous and the weather was perfect.  Glad I could do it.  Now it is time to retire for the year.  I will defer my St. George entry and try to heal my leg for next year.  9:15 ave at 9700 feet
