Personal:

I retired from the Army after 26 years of service in 2010.  I moved home to Arizona.  My wife and I are empty nesters.  In 2016 I had stents placed in my heart after discovering coronary artery disease.  Since early 2016 I have lost 30 lbs and got in much better shape.  August 2017 I retired again. We served a mission to Mexico from October 2017 until April 2019.

total running 17:03.  splits 8:35 and 8:28.  at 5 minutes I ran 2 minutes hard 2 minutes easy until 15 minutes and then I took 1 minutes easy and hard until I finished.  feeling stronger.

played dodgeball last night with the priests and elders.  woke up at 2 this am with monster calf cramp.  no running.

total running time 64:36.  windy.  first half of the run was almost entirely into the wind.  spilts 9:23, 9:28, 9:17, 9:06 (half against the wind), 8:52, 9:11 (starting to feel the distance and the cramps from this week), 9:19 (barely held it together).

this was my longest run since my stress fracture 1.5 years ago.

total running time 46:29.  Did not push at all although I did some striders while finishing my run so the last mile was faster.  splits 9:22, 9:14, 9:23, 9:23, 9:07.

total running time 64:36... exactly the same as last week.  splits:  9:08, 8:59, 9:10, 9:01, 9:31, 9:29, 9:17.  last 3 miles were tough but that was because of the early pace which I didn't realize due to it being dark and me not running with my headlamp.
