| 2 miles down the canyon in 11:54.4(with Joseph pacing). 90, 3:00, 4:33, 6:00, 7:30, 9:00, (don't know for the 7th). I felt very relaxed and didn't struggle until the 6th quarter. Compared to 2 weeks ago, doing the 2000m was harder than the 2 miles. I still make the mistake of settling in a more comfortable pace to avoid pain; I could have kicked harder.

| 2000 meters at the track in 7:18 (in Saint George with lower elevation). 83, 2:55, 4:27(I think), then 5:52. A guy at the track offered to pace me, so I didn't end up having to run alone. His name is Matt, he is 39, and trains for the Iron man. My workout seemed pretty easy to him.
My family went to a trail that was actually my turn around I ran yesterday. Ran back and forth for around .75 miles to park, and then ran home 3 miles in the 85 degree heat in 23:07.
Just this past week I have noticed a lot of improvement. Usually in the 2000m I would be sore, but now I don't even feel like I had done a workout. I am also just feeling so good from the runner's high. It is the best.

Now at home. With Gideon we did a half mile in 4:50. Had to do skips the whole time because my ankle is a little hurt. It was hard to keep up. hopefully it is fine tomorrow.

At night in Orem, did 2 in 17:54 with the girls. And 4 in 32:53 on my own. My ankle heeled a lot during the day and I didn't have any pain. I still ran with a limp though.

| Ran a half mile with Gideon in 6:00.
Then 2 at night in 18:27. My ankle is worse than Saturday, it is heeling a little more weird than other sprains I've had. I had to limp a lot more compared to Saturday, only able to run on the side of my foot. No pain though, unless I stop limping it will hurt.

| My ankle seems even worse today, so I decided not to go on a limping run. If it doesn't improve within a week it might not be just a simple sprain. Most sprains I will see improvement every day, but this one is getting worse every day. Still cannot put any weight on the inner side of my foot.
I did a core workout and push-ups, and also an hour on the stationary bike.

| 59:27. The fastest I could go was 9:30. I did a half mile with Gideon in 5:40. My ankle is better today. No pain on my run but I still had to limp the whole time. I can only somewhat run if I flex my foot and scrunch my toes to put no weight on the arch, and if I stay low to the ground. After my run, walking seemed to be easier. Hopefully I made the right choice to run.

| 4.5 in 43:07. Half a mile with Gideon in 5:42. My ankle is a lot better today. But my other muscles were very tight and sore from limping all week. I can put weight on my whole foot, but it is weak. I had to cut the run short because I rolled the ankle on a rock and didn't want to damage anything more. Hopefully that didn't ruin my progress.

| 42:54. One mile in the afternoon in 7:59! 4 at 10:30pm in 34:55. The last quarter was 1:30! My ankle feels very good. Trying to teach myself how to walk and run without limping. My run was still slow because I was still very very stiff from improper form. I still feel like there is something holding me back, it felt very hard just to go at normal pace.

| 48:19. Last quarter was 86! The first 3 was 24:45, and then around 8:03 pace for the last 3. My ankle can handle speed now! The main problem was my other muscles. They were so tight. Felt like I was running in place, it took a lot of effort to do what usually is easy.

| 3.1 miles downhill to the track in around 23:00. 1000 meters at the track in 3:29.15. 200m-38, 400m-1:17, 600m-2:02, 800m-2:47.
3.1 miles uphill back home in around 26:00.
My ankle was completely fine, just a little tight. No problems. I could have ran the 1000m better if I ran less miles before it, and if I just pushed harder, I settled too much in a more comfortable pace. My running form feels even better, and it feels good to go fast.

| 3 in the afternoon in 25:25. I am very sore from running 3 miles uphill yesterday and from dance class.
In the evening, me, my mom, and my sister Addie hiked the Y. Addie gave up halfway through. She rarely exercises. I am just grateful for my life decisions, exercising diligently makes me free and happy. I feel like there should be no reason for her to be weak. When I can hike all the way and she can barely do half, I am realizing how important healthy habits are for your life.
Did a little bonus to avoid running into deer.

| 16:49. I am very exhausted after dance. Still sore, but in different places from dance class. I'm proud I even got out the door.
I just want to run and dance is getting in the way. I love Irish dance so much, but I don't see any reason to continue. Running benefits me in so many more ways, and is much easier to keep up with. I still have to go to regionals for dance, but I'll probably dance a lot less afterwards to focus on running.

| 2 miles down the canyon in 12:32 with Joseph pacing. 6:00 for the first mile, last quarter was 91. There was strong headwind. Started struggling after 3/4 mile. Still sore and I think a little overtrained.

| 4 in the late afternoon in 30:57. It is cold, and there was snow on the mountains; it was breathtaking! Also a huge herd of deer in the fields.

I am not sore anymore and it felt very good. My ankle kept on having random shoots of pain now and then though.

| Had a dance competition all today (left at 5:30am, got home at 7pm). don't know what place I got exactly, but I got bottom half. Since I am in the highest level, it is harder to get a good place. I am so exhausted I decided it wasn't worth it to run.
I also need to stop running at night because there are so many deer, and I don't want to run into them.
