13:38. My cold is worse today, pretty achy, tired, and congested. I wanted to do 2 but that was all I could do. I also had to skip dance.

8:06, with a few stops. I feel much better but it is still tiring to run. I have dance class today so I wanted to save energy.
I felt pretty good at dance! Just a little less stamina. I realized that the stamina I had today, was the same compared to the stamina I had when I wasn't running very much at all. So basically my stamina when I was sick is the same as when I was completely healthy before I was running. Although I have been told by all my dance instructors that you need to only work on sprints for dance; I have found running long distance is very beneficial. I just wonder if training long distance is just as good as training sprints for dance, or if long distance could be better.

33:58. I had lots of energy! It felt good, except lots of phlegm in my lungs. I think I should be totally fine by Monday for the 10k. I took it very easy. I used to overtrain when I would have a cold and it would get prolonged.

At Onion Days, my first 10k race. 44:44, 1st for womens overall. 1st mile-6:54, 2nd-14:02, and 21:26 for the 3rd mile. I can't remember the rest of the times. Next time I need to do better looking at my watch. I am not sick anymore, but my lungs had a lot of phelgm for the first 2 miles. It was fine after, but I had to cough a bit throughout the race and it made it a little harder to run. I am happy because I did my best. But I am more motivated now to train and get faster.

40:25. I am doing better at going to bed on time and it has helped a lot. I also realize that I push too hard on my easy runs. In Orem, 8min pace feels pretty easy, but here it is harder. My runs go a lot better if I let myself go a little slower here.

7:55. I didn't have time in the morning and I was very exhausted at night. I really did do my best. I have been trained to make no exceptions for running, but when I am also dancing, it just feels like there are too many factors against me.

40:08. Not enough sleep all week. It made my heart tired I think and my lungs. Other than lack of sleep, the runs are going well.

40:00. Last quarter was 1:23. I still do not have enough sleep, so I was dragging. Got a little bonus run trying to run 3 kids to the bus stop, barely made it. But this is a typical morning for me, always a little crazy.

16:40. 3 hour dance class today, my hip flexor is overused and needs rest. This week was hard. I had to work a lot more in our childcare, and it uses a lot of energy. I just feel burnt out with not enough sleep. I feel behind in everything, and kinda failed at all my goals this week. So with that humbling week, I am now very excited for Sunday, and even more grateful for all the good things I have going for me. Life is good, and hard.

Rest day. My hip flexor and a muscle in my thigh are strained and I am unable to even lift my right leg. It shouldn't hurt running easy, but might be a problem going fast. I am actually glad I didn't run too much on Saturday because it is pretty hurt. This is why I don't like doing 2 sports sometimes, because I get hurt more than I should.

40:35. My leg was fine but could be better. It is funny how I can run 5 miles pretty easily, but then struggle to even walk up the stairs.

39:16. Last quarter was 1:26. My leg healed a lot during the night, I can go fast now, but it doesn't feel right; tomorrow I should be fine! And now I can walk up the stairs basically normal now.

37:56. Last half mile was 3:00. Felt very good. My leg is healed!

39:25. Felt very good with a bit more sleep.

At dance class I learned that most of the dancers in my class also got the same injury in their right hip flexor! Some are still recovering because they did not rest. I was able to help them on how to recover better. It is just funny how we all got the same problem from the new step.

40:19 in Orem. After 2 hours of dance class, I was very exhausted.

William ran with me down the canyon. We did 1.25 miles in 7:30- the first mile was 6:05. 
the rest of the miles were around 8:10 pace.

40:08. Last half was 3:05. I stopped a lot and complained way more than needed. I struggle a lot if I have to run at night. To prevent myself from making excuses to skip a run or have a bad attitude, here is a list:

1. Run first, then rest. Spending time resting will just make your run late, causing you to go to bed late.

2. Eat at good times and good quantities for easier runs.

3. Like the Nike slogan says: "Just Do It".

4. Quite whining and complaining. All that's going to do is slow you down and make you sad.

2 in 15:27. I realize the best way to feel mentally stable on a run is to do something a little fast. My mood will improve immediately, maybe I need to incorporate a little workout during the week to help with that.

Later I did 3 in 23:50. 
I took Gideon (he is 5) on a quarter mile in 2:01. I told him he could have one of my old dance medals if he ran a PR, but 2:01 wasn't fast enough. He was very disappointed so he went for another run in 1:51! I think that is PR, so he won the prize.

When I start to get stressed and anxious it usually means I'm overtrained, or need to do a workout. When I push myself to do something painful, I am able to regulate my emotions better. 
In the morning I did 2000 meters at the track. 87, 3:01, 4:36, 6:04, and then 7:35. 1.75 of the warmup and cool down. After dance I did 2 more in 17:20 and night.

4 in 33:02 in the afternoon so I had more time to rest. After dance, 1 in 7:55. Feels better with new crocs, I think the old pair had 800 something miles. I don't know. I am just tight and sore from running and dance. While working at our childcare I have problems if I run before I work. I get lightheaded and weak, and unable to have basic stamina during work. Most likely cause I need more water in the mornings, but I need more rest after a run. I think it is better if I don't run in the morning, so I can actually chase after all the kids and not be completely drained by changing a diaper, or picking up toys.

After dance in Orem. 2 around 8:15 pace, with the girls. 3 on my own in 23:50. I tripped and fell down on the 2nd mile for the first time in a long while.

2000 meter track workout with William. 91, 3:01, 4:38(I think), 6:11, 7:37. 

The rest of the miles were around 8:20 pace.

3k race at Kiwanis park. 11:49.6. I think that might be a PR. 1st overall girls. At night I did 3 in 25:27.

I could have ran. I wanted to save energy for dance, so I pushed it to the side and didn't get it done. Dance class was a lot harder though from the race yesterday. It wouldn't have hurt to just run 1 mile; next time on a day like this, I will do my best to just do something.
