| | First practice of senior year. It's crazy! We played frisbee and my team won because we are legends. After coach led us through all these stretches that were new. We also did our abs so ya know, I'm gonna be huge. I already feel that 8 pack forming. We also did wall sits. There were a ton of new kids but I'm guessing half drop once we actually start the running. 3 miles easy to Lindon Park with Jerry, Riles, Jay and Matt after. We helped this lady from Alpine School District unload her car and she gave us hi chew so on the way back we fueled up on those. Mini track meet tomorrow for practice, don't have any ambitious goals just maybe a 49 for my 400. Also, if you have a running watch you like please comment what it is, my Nike tomtom is way outdated.

| | AM- Mile warmup. Ran the 100 and 200 then DNF on the 400. Felt super tight because we didn't really warmup and we had a long sitting rest after the 200. I'll drop that 49 some other time. 4x100. My team was Matt first, me second, Riles third and Jay fourth. We won again because we are still legends. Mile cool down. I got the Garmin Forerunner 230. I'm excited to use it on something other than warmups/cooldowns. I'm running later today to get some easy mileage. Shoutout to everyone who visited the snow shack yesterday. I aslo made Gan's favorite blogs list so I think I'm going to put that in my running accomplishments.
PM- Good run with Jerry and Matt. We drove to Provo Canyon for a change of scenery and ran 2.5 up. We went a little faster than we had planned. 6:55 average with the last mile being a 6:15 I think. My watch is great I already love it. Much better than my Nike.

| | AM- We played soccer today. It's always very scary because nobody is coordinated so your life is in danger. At best I would say it was bush league. Who knows what the score was but after we decided we tied 3-3 so my team was not as legendary as the previous days. I'm running later with JT from Timp so that'll be fun.
PM- Oh boy. Running with JT was great but I had literally eaten Texas Roadhouse 40 minutes before so our pace was sooo slow. We parked at Battle Creek and ran to Molly's. I'm trying to think of a poem but the only thing that rhymes with salty is faulty so I'm kind of stuck. I'll sleep on it then have something good tomorrow though. Thanks for the birthday wishes. So happy I can finally go to stake dances.

| | There wasn't organinzed practice today because coach couldn't come so I ran by myself. It wasn't that great of a run. I ran to the pond did a lap around it and came back. My knees hurt kind of like they did last time I started to run again so they won't hurt in a little but for now it's annoying. Also I wrote a poem.
Gan is so salty and likes to roast
For some reason she roasts me the most
It often makes me feel bad
Then I become quite sad
But it's okay because in the end
I know she's a (mostly) good friend

| | Wowzerz! Wowie wow wow! I just went on the hottest run of my life! 7:19 average pace for 5.01 miles. The heat drained me and sweat kept getting in my eyes which stung like crazy. I ran from my house to the turn around point for 1100 then 1100 backwards back to my house. I need to start drinking lots of water again that'll help me on the runs. I also need to do more abs which might suprise you all because I'm shredded but yes, I do need to do more. Excited to run with the team tomorrow and for the 24 hour relay.

| | 800 warm up on the grass then 6 800 repeats. I was hitting the pace I want to be by the end of the season but then I held back a little for the last three. It was a good workout. Cooled down on the track for 800 after. The 24 hour relay is today and I'm the first leg so that's pretty cool.

| | I couldn't remember when I ran my miles for the 24 hour relay so I'm just putting all of the splits in here. It was a very long 24 hour relay and I may have come home during it to shower. We tried to hit a team average of 7:00 but we knew it would be a struggle when in the first mile as a team 5 kids were walking. I was able to get some sleep during the night which was pretty good. I'm doing a recovery run later and ice bathing.
First group mile ?:??
Legs:
1-5:32
2-5:53
Easy mile.
3-6:00
4-5:37
5-5:38 (This was at 2:45 am)
6-5:13
7-5:20
Final group mile as a team.
Went to the CBC and was the MVP for cheering. Played some frisbee after. 2 miles when I got home then an ice bath.

| | I thought we were going to go hard today but coach just had us to 4 miles easy instead. When we got back to the high school coach had us play frisbee for a little but no one would actually play so it wasn't super fun. I ran .5 during that and then .5 by myself to hit 5. Coach brought donuts after and orange juiceand chocolate milk. We had 9 guys show up today and we have 38 who said they're running so we were missing quite a few. I'm running the Stawberry Days 5k next Saturday with Riles, Jerry and Ali and maybe some other guys on the team. Don't have a plan on what to throw down yet and I'm not sure how good the competition is so I don't know if I should go for top 5 or what. I'll figure it out later, maybe the day of.

| | 3 mile shake out. I was going to go pretty slow but it didn't feel good so I sped up. Splits were 6:40, 6:38 and 6:41. I felt pretty good after the little brake I took because of high adventure. I was going to run there but there were a couple reasons that I didn't so I felt okay not running. The Strawberry days 5k will have a good top 10 ish it looks like with Brady Olson who runs at SUU as well as Casey's little brother Carson and some of the other PGXC guys like Riles, Brain, Jerry, Reed and Ali. It should be a good time running with the boys and I'm guessing we will stay clumped and all finish top 10. I've got some 600s to do later tonight and I need to do some abs.
1600 warm up then 8x600s with a two minute rest inbetween followed by a 1600 cool down. Running a 1:55 600 is a 16:00 5k and a 2:02 is a 17:00 5k and we were supposed to run at 5k pace. My splits were 1:54, 49, 55, 55, 59, 55, 58, 56. It felt really good and I dind't get kid napped even though it was dark. Going to use the stick now.

| | Today we met at coach's shop at 7 to go to Willow Park in Lehi. I hate Willow Park so much. I'm not really sure why but running there is just so tough. On the way out we ran with a decently sized pack but on the way back it was Riles and both Matts and me. Brady and Reed went farther then we did. We cut the run a little short because of the 5k tomorrow and didn't go as fast for the same reason. 6.01 miles with a 6:55 average pace. The only good thing about Willow Park is we go to the Lehi Bakery after and I got two maple bars and they were so good. Went back to the highschool then to the fire department with Riles, Nicole and Matt for packet pick up. Tonight me and Riles are doing our recovery run on the 5k course just to see what it's like. Good luck to all the homies running Ragnar!
Ali and I got pizza for the carbs like Spencer Palmer always did and we decided not to run the course so we just drove it.

Strawberry Days 5k (3 Miles) 00:17:41, Place overall: 9, Place in age division: 8 | | Today was the Strawberry Days 5k. The PG runners met at coach's shop at 6:00 and ran to the course for a mile warmup. We had about 9 guys running it. My legs felt pretty tired about halfway in and I think it's because I didn't run three of the days this week. The course was only 3 miles and I finished with a 17:41.6. My runner card said I took 7th because Jericksen didn't register so that put me up a place but I've gone over the people ahead of me and my card should say 8th not 7th. It's weird but whatever. I was 6th from PG. Brady won then Riley, Carson Clinger, Ali or Brian, Josh, Ali or Brian, Jared, Reed then me. I'm happy with the how the race went without training the whole week. After some of us chilled around the finish line then did a one mile cool down back to the high school. At the high school we played frisbee until the parade which we handed out fliers for. After the parade Matt, Brady and I ran back to the high school to get our cars which was 1.57. Good job to everyone who ran Ragnar!

| | Got to practice and did the regular Reaper warm up which is just over two miles. Coach decided to start everyone at the same time today and give people stickers that we would put on a clip board at the top and he had a timer like they do in races. I guess last week when he tried just to use a stopwatch and write times down it didn't workout so well. We started the Reaper and Jared and Brady went out pretty fast. Brady kept a pretty consisten pace and won. I stuck pretty close to them and I felt like I was going out too fast and was worried I would die out. I caught up to Jared and passed him. After .9 miles Riley and Ali caught up to me. Riley passed me and beat me by about two seconds. I finished third with a 9:28 which is a PR for me and actually the first time I've broken 10:00. Ran down the Reaper with Matt after then did the cool down followed by some solid abs, wall sits and shin splint stuff. About 10 guys played ultimate after with Reed's disc called like an arobie or something. It was way fun to play with but everyone was overthrowing it. We had the clinic today but there weren't that many kids so coach said some of us could leave which was nice because it was hot.
PM- 4.18 miles. Even though Casey, Jared and I ran at 10:00 or later it was still way hot. We ran around our neighborhood then out and aroud the pond and told Casey about our wonderful high adventure. We also talked a lot about Weezer and what their best song is. We decided Perfect Situation was and Greatest Man as a close second.

| | Mile warm up. 1200, 800, 400 with one minute rest inbetween. Three minute rest after the 400 then repeat. Mile cool down with weights after. Planning on doing 3 or 4 later tonight. Super pumped because our new jerseys are going to be way sick!
I was going to run but I just played basketball with Zack, Asa, Connor and some others. I held back today and only threw down a couple dunks.

| | Today coach told us where to run which he doesn't usually go but I like it because it forces everyone to actually go hard. On the way out we had a pack of 5 plus Brady. It was me, Riles, Reed, Jerry and Ali. We went out about 3.5 with Brady keeping a fast pace. We came back but went up 1100 north and a couple other hills so our pace wasn't as fast. We went 7.01 with an average pace of 6:23. We did strides after getting us .5 followed by abs, wall sits and shin splint exercises. It was a solid practice. I need to work on drinking more so that I'm hydrated because I think that will help me on runs.

| | Mile warm up. 6x800s with a 400 inbetween. I could not get my legs going which was frustrating. Barefoot mile cool down. Did some weights after. Did those weird leg curls for you hamstrings and benching as well as pull ups, dips and climbed the ropes in the weight room for run. Kept it one hundred on the bench so it was pretty good.

| | Met at the highschool at 7:00. Coach had me drive Ali, Riles, Jerry and Harambe. We met up with the top 10 and Brady at the parking lot right at the mouth of the Provo Canyon. We went up to Bridal Veil Falls then a little more to bring our mileage to 4 out. Our pace was around a 6:45 out I believe. On the way there I might have seen Sasha because I saw a guy in crocs and his blog said he ran where I did today for part of his run. At Bridal Veil we took a casual no flex picture and @brady_a_olson posted it on Instagram so if you want to be inspired search him or look at what I'm tagged in. On the way back we went a little fast. Our average pace for the run was 6:27. Riles, Jerry and I ice bathed after while Ali watched. I'm leaving for my cabin today so wish me luck running by myself!

| | Good to be back with the team. Justin was at practice which was cool. He got back from his mission yesterday at 4:00. We did a mile warm up then 3 mile repeats. Mile repeats are almost as bad as running at Willow Park. I could tell I didn't run the past three days because I wasn't going as fast as usual. Mile cool down after. Weights today, kept it one hundred, did some pull ups, climbed a rope, did those weird leg things. Wall sits as well. We found out some strange things about Tanner (Texas) today. Jerry had a romantic moped ride with Riley after practice and Brady said some for funny stuff. There were a couple good roasts so practice was good. I'll do a recovery run later today.
PM- Recovery run in the foothills to Molly's with Jared from Battle Creek. The sunset was amazing! We got back to the car to find Brady and Michaela in the parking lot coming back from a hike. Good recovery and excited for Stewart Falls tomorrow.
