| | The dilema for today was how far to run given the 10k tomorrow. Decided on an easy 5.5 on a perfect morning. Feel good now almost like I didn't run at all. |

Sawtelle Stampede 10k in Island Park. Great trail 10K right below Sawtelle mountain although it was long, my garmin said 6.7 miles and mapmyrun had it about the same. Ran it with my daughter, that was great running with her. Race went well, had to slow down and wait for my daughter a few times. Right after the turn around at the half way point in a really shady spot in the trees I hit a rock, tripped and fell. Dinged my knee and hands up pretty good. I was able to finish the race really strong, passed quite a few people and felt good after. I think I was 17th overall, I let my daughter finish right in front of me.
Knee got sore and swelled up pretty good later in the afternoon. I've decided to take a few days off until the swelling goes down. |

An easy 2.1 with my wife later in the day to see how my knee feels from the race Saturday. The swelling has gone down but it's still sore to try and kneel on.
My knee felt good for the run and no ill after effects, good news! |

| | No time this morning to run, we had to be in West Jordan for a soccer tournament at 8:00. Got home after 2 games and decided to go for a run in the heat. Ran 8.5 to kinda match the temp of 85 degrees. It was pretty hot and I'm not used to that heat. The run went better than I thought, it wasn't until the last .75 or so that the heat finally got to me. |

| | 12 easy today getting back into the groove after last week off of work and the knee problem. Good run, felt good except for the last 1.75 when it started getting hot. |

| | Up early and had to push it slightly today to get back early to get my daughter to soccer conditioning. Turned out she wouldn't get up and didn't go. Warm this moring, started at about 72. Good run today even though I had to get up early. |

Up really early today, my daughter has a soccer tournament so I need to leave work early. Great run and I felt really good today so I pushed the pace. Warm and pretty windy but getting the run done before the sun came up made it more bearable.
PM - 2 easy easy miles with my wife to get out of the house. Always nice to go for a littler run with her. |

What a great morning, 60 degrees with a light breeze. Quite a change from 74 with a hot wind yesterday. Ran 8.5 without worrying about pace today. Great run, started to heat up fast when the sun came up.
Right calf is a little twitchy, wore my calf sleeve today and it didn't seem to get any worse. When the sun hits that sleeve it really heats up quickly, I was searching out the shade to keep it cool. |

| | First off, what's with all the Dragon flies out this morning they were everywhere. Very warm, 82 degrees and windy. Woke up very tired and almost rolled back over and went to sleep. Told myself to getup and just do 5 miles or so. Ended up with 11.5 and now I'm tired, that heat drained me so I'm going to relax today. |

| | I guess the heat, mostly at night, is dragging me down. Last 2 mornings, temps around 80 with a warm wind, I've been dragging and I can hardly wake up to go run. Glad I got out yesterday and this morning as tired as I was. Good run nothing special. It's supposed to cool down tomorrow morning, got my fingers crossed. |

| | Plan was for 10 miles today but it was nice and cool compared to the last couple of days so I added a few miles. Good run for a Wednesday, felt ok today no problems nice to get out on a great morning. |

| | Another nice cooler moring. Ran 8.5 not too worried about pace, kind of a recovery run from yesterday of sorts. Felt tired starting out but got better as the run went along. |

| | Gotta love this time of year to run, great morning. 8.5 miles this morning to put me over 50 for the week. Great week for me, I'm happy with that and best of all I feel good no injuries. |

| | Day off but I decided to get up at my normal time to get my run done before it got too hot. If I would have waited it wouldn't have happened, I'm lazy that way sometimes. 12 miles, good run but it was pretty warm. |

I didn't have it this morning, felt ok for the first half not so for the second half. Drug myself through it and now I'm zapped. Just had some chocolate milk as a treat to see if it will help me recover because I'm a little out of it now.
Kind of a milestone today, since the end of January I've lost 50 pounds. Kinda don't want to admit that I had that to loose but at least I lost it. |

| | Up a little early so I could get my daughter to soccer conditioning so most of my run was done before the sun came up and better yet in the shade. It felt humid this morning and given the wall I hit yesterday I wasn't sure how it would go today. Good run, felt better today. |

| | Great morning and great run. Wasn't so sure when I woke up because I had a hard time getting up. Run was great, I felt great and ran a tempo for the last 1.25 trying to concentrate on breathing and relaxing. Good news I was able to concentrate on breathing and relaxing for the entire 1.25. |
