| | Heel was sore today so I decided to ride my bike. Great morning for a ride, ended up going for 1 hour today. Started going up Washington Terrace, then down into South Weber over into Riverdale, back up to the top of Washington Terrace and then down and home. Good ride felt it in my legs. No pain in the heel which was great. | Add Comment |

Leaving on vaction up to Island Park Idaho this morning so I only had time for a quick run on the TM. Just did a 5k this morning. Looking forward to the next 5 days of R & R. |

| | Some times it's tough being a morning runner expecially on vacation when I'd like to sleep in. But....woke up at my normal time at around 6 am, nobody else was up so I went for a run. I was a little nervous because they've seen a Grizzly bear hanging around in the area around my parents cabin. Took some pepper spray with me but didn't need it. Great run it's really beautiful up in Island park although it's 2000 ft. higher in elevation than home. |

No run today, packing up and getting ready to go home from Island Park.
Played soccer for half a game later that night. My daughters soccer team had a fun scrimmage game and I ended up playing in that for a half. It was fun but I was wearing the wrong shoes, Dr. Martin sandals because I didn't plan on playing. | Add Comment |
| | Back to the grind this morning after vacation. No run yesterday, just didn't feel like running. This mornings run was tough, it was hot outside and I was really dragging today. This was one of my tougher runs to get through in a long time. Got through it though but I'm tired now. |

| | Woke up not feeling really well this morning, had a head ache and a little bit of a stiff neck. Talked myself into a run anyway, glad I went. Still kind of dragging from yesterday and my quads are a little stiff from the soccer game on Monday. The run this morning helped the quads loosen up. |

| | Better run this morning, still dragging a little. I don't really know why except maybe the heat is bothering me. Felt better today, quads slowly getting better and my heel stays about the same. Slightly sore until it warms up and then okay then later in the day it gets a little sore again. |

First off I want to thank my main man Nick, Oreo on the blog, for giving me some motivation to try some speed work today. I've never really tried speed work before, I just run to stay healthy so I don't really worry about how fast I'm going. I ran 4X800 today and I'm glad I did. It was a really good tough workout but it was also different and I enjoyed it. First I ran up to Bonneville high school, 1.3 miles ran the 4x800m with 400m recovery inbetween then ran back home.
Great workout I'll have to try and keep it in weekly. |

| | Not a good night last night. First I couldn't get to sleep, then I got woke up by a work problem and after that I couldn't get back to sleep. So 5 hours is a little generous. Got out a little late so it was pretty warm so I just went 4 miles today. It was around 80 degrees with a strong wind from the south, so that made it feel warmer. I had a hard time cooling off today, I need to get adjusted to the heat. |

| | What a great morning for a run, temps dropped about 15-20 degrees from yesterday and it was awesome. It felt really good this morning. Just a nice run this morning, no watch. Today's 7 felt much easier than yesterday's 4, that's weird but I'll take it. |

| | A little cooler again this moring so I decided to do another longer run today. Hopefully my heel does okay. Great morning again for a run, felt better than Monday's run again. Just a nice easy run today, no watch. |

| | Legs were tired this morning, good thing it was a short day for me. Heel was alright after the last 2 longer days. A little warmer today but not too bad. I got passed by a young girl(probably about 15 years old) this morning with about 1.25 to go so I decided to see if I could keep up. I was able to keep up for the rest of my run pace was between 7:45 and 8:00 per mile. |

1.3 mile warmup ran to Bonneville high school then I did 4x800m with 400m recovery and 1.3 mile cooldown back home. The 4x800m were in the range of 4:00 - 4:15, not very fast but fast for me. Good tough workout, legs felt tired on the run home.
Intresting morning 2 older gentlemen showed up at the track this morning, I thought it was just to walk around but they were there to practice throwing Javelin. Never would have thought that. |

It's been a bad week for sleep and I don't know why. Sunday night I couldn't get to sleep I remember being up at around 3 AM and I couldn't get up to run on Monday. Last night the fun continued, only up till around Midnight last night. My brain is just going 90 MPH, it's driving me nuts. This morning still tired but decided to get out for a run to hopefully get back to normal. Good run, a little warm between 70 - 77 so I didn't push it. |

| | First night of good sleep since Saturday night, it's about time. Ran a different route this morning, stomach wasn't cooperating so I wanted to stay closer to home. Ran the ZigZag loop so that I was no further that 1.5 miles from home. Good run this morning although it was pretty warm (70) and this time of year you don't get a lot of shade, even early in the morning. |

Woke up with a raging headache today so I told myself just a short run today. I ended up running at a 8:56 pace today, which is 30+ seconds faster than I have been running lately. Run didn't help or hurt my headache, I was hoping it would make it better.
3 miles very easy with my wife during our daughters soccer practice. Very hot this afternoon but I'm glad I got her to go out for a little exercise. |

| | Good run for about 1.5 miles today then the sun came up and it got hot fast. Made it through the 7 though so that's good. Lots of people out today, lots of cars to. |

Not a lot of motivation today, but I got myself out the door. Had a little trouble sleeping, I just didn't feel tired last night and my brain was going 90mph.
Ran the zig zag loop again, I think it's a little harder than my usual route. Same amount of vertical but with this new route the uphill is spread out over a longer distance. Warm again, I wish I could acclimate but for some reason this year it just isn't happening. |

| | In Park City for my daughters soccer tournament, had time for a quick run. Nice a cool up there, it should be because it's about 2000ft. higher. |
