After buying some cow elk tags my dad and I headed up to Cedar Mountain. We ran by Deer Valley. It sucked because it was pretty much all up hill and we were stuck in a cold rain.
This time we headed out to the Virgin River Rim Trail and ran. We took this trail and tried to reach Deep Creek. After 4 miles of the intense uphill mountain running we turned around. My dad was struggling but I just booking it uphill and down. My time was real slow because of all of the uphill but I still got a 6:36 mile during one of the more downhill miles. Great marathon training I guess.
AM: I ran out on the Ice House trail in the desert above Green Springs. I just wanted to run until I saw some deer. I didn't see any, but I did see a coyote at about 6.5 miles in. So after that I decided to turn back. On the way back I was hauling down this downhill and I heard a rattle. I knew it was a Rattler snake and I couldn't stop on the downhill so I jumped over the freakin snake and it struck at me. I almost got bit, dang snake!
mileage:13.2
PM: I got out and ran again tonight because I was way bored and not doing anything. I ran around foremaster and back. This is the first time I have done a 2-a-day since XC.
