| | Felt pretty good waking up this morning, so I decided to mix it up just slightly from what has been many days of easy and slow running. Small builder exercise. (7.6 in 0:56:22)
First double in a while. It felt really good. Just a short run, but I picked up the pace, and ticked up the incline. Also, I've gained 5 pounds in the last 3 weeks. (3.5 in 0:26:50)

| | Woke up at 3am with the same stomach ache as 2 weeks ago. Like I swallowed a handful of thumb tacks. Got out of bed and sat upright in a chair for about 30 minutes, then felt good enough to go back to bed. Dozed until 4. Had a small cup of really hot oatmeal. I was a little more tired on the run than I expected to be. (15.5 in 2:01:27) |

| | Some threshold paced sets. It was about the effort level I expected after being a little sick, and also with a long hiatus from fast running. What I did not expect was feeling some nausea 10 minutes after being done. Before getting into running, I was big into calisthenics and gymnastics type exercises (rings). I slowly got out of this type of exercise because my workouts were constantly getting way-laid by strong bouts of nausea. If I had eaten within the 3-5 hours prior, there was always a risk of losing my food with the nausea. I even got a heart ultrasound with the doctor, suspecting heart palpitations, but he never found anything. Anyways, I hope that isn't happening here now... (8.5 in 1:00:32)

| | I felt like speeding it up again today, and did a small aerobic builder exercise. It was a lower effort compared to yesterday, but I still felt a little bit of nausea at about the same 10-minute post-workout mark. It wasn't as bad as yesterday, but it was also an easier run. (7 in 0:51:39)

| | Woke up before my alarm again. I think I've been getting more sleep on my bus rides. (9.3 in 1:11:08) Lunch time treadmill. This was my last run of the year, and I pushed pretty hard at the end. (3.5 in 0:26:03) It's been a great year. No BQ, but oh well. I did my first pacing gig, which was awesome, and got 3 marathons in. I also got a big half marathon PR, and ran my best yearly mileage yet. |
