4 easy miles before dinner. Then we went to the Festival of Lights, which Ellie really enjoyed. She unfortunately dropped her favorite toy and now it is probably gone forever.
On a brighter note, I got a Most Miles Run prize at work for the year: a gift card to Bills Bike & Run, wahoo!

| | Treadmill workout at lunch: 4x(4 minutes I, 3 minutes recovery) + 4x(1 minute repetition, 2 minutes recovery). I ate a big creamy peanut butter brownie thing about 30 minutes before starting this workout. That was definitely a mistake! (7 miles in 49:47)

5 easy miles in 39 minutes before dinner. We celebrated Idaho-Christmas tonight. Ellie was so excited to open here presents: a Monkey beanie with mittens, and some Mega Blox (giant legos). She loves the blox and was so upset to leave them for bedtime.

| | An unfortunate running experience. 90 minutes easy on the treadmill. My Achilles felt a slight twinge, certainly nothing that has been a concern before. Well now a day later it is uncomfortable to the point that I know I should not run. Darn! (11.7 in 90:00) |

SATX Trail Company New Year's Eve 10k (6.63 Miles) 01:23:22 | | My mother signed herself, my dad, and me up for this race the day it was announced. My dad doesn't run at all, although he is an active swimmer and cyclist. I planned to walk this whole thing with him because of my tendinitis. My race day fever got the better of me and I ran the second half. I'll pay for it later. |
