Not much planned for this week in running. I was told by my trainer to not run very much this week. My pace today was 7:42 and according to him I am should be running 9:00 miles. So this week I am not running much and it will be a lot slower times. Then I was told after this next race I should not plan any races for a while. He wants to build my aerobic base mileage. Which I am bummed because I want to race some more races, but I understand what he wants to do.

Nice slow easy day. My pace was 9:05, my total time was 27:15. I am runnig slow to let my body rest from Saturday race.

Today’s run was another easy day. My pace was 9:10; I think my body is ready to pick it up a little. This is a new way of running for me because I am use to running fast every time I run. So I am praying that in the long run I will be running a lot better than if I was running my way.

Today’s workout was fun. I ran three miles in 26:23 (08:47.67 per mile), but every ¾ of a mile I would pick it up from a 9:00 minute mile to a 7:00 minute mile for about thirty seconds and then I would back down to a 9:00 minute mile. It was a nice change for me.

Nice easy run today. My pace was 8:53. I have to tell on myself, I have been running the treadmill. I know I said I should be running outside, but I figure that this week is a relaxing week for me and it would be ok to run on the treadmill. I have been running with the incline set at one percent and today I ran with it at two percent.  I do plan on running my ten mile run on Saturday outside.  I am running the Pocatello marathon course to help me get use to running down hill, to prepare me for the Ogden ½ marathon.

What day of running, my pace was 8:54. But it sure was a pain. The course I used was the beginning of the Pocatello Marathon and that is a down hill course. So my goal for running was to run nine minutes miles and running a down hill course that becomes very hard, I think I wore myself out trying not to run so fast. I kept speeding up to a eight minute mile and then slowing down to a nine minute miles. So by mile seven/ eight I was wore out. Also, I did not bring any water with me. But praise God my friend that came with me had some extra water. So the last few miles I had to stop a couple of time, but that is OK I guess. My heart rate over all was a 150 bpm (Beats per minutes). Over all not too bad of run..
