| | 29:54 AP 9:59 I ran as fast as I could. I'm grateful to be able to run but it's pathetic to compare to where I once was. I had to hurry cause my sister was picking me up early for women's conf at BYU. Grateful Jeff could be home with kids so I could go. He starts a new job May 16 so the crazy life with no schedule since end of Feb will be changing.

Vigor Half Marathon (13.1 Miles) 02:12:00 | | This was the first race that I almost quit. I made the mistake of eating differently the week before. I ate stupid Kashi cereal the 2 days before and mh stomach was freaking out that morning. I also was having pain between my chest and my shoulder on the right side. It was shooting pain that was moving toward my chest and up to my head. I kept having to walk in the beginning. I begged my sister to please keep running and go catch her friend. I told her if she didn't go I would feel like I have to keep running. She went and I prayed and prayed that I wouldn't have to quit. I turned up my music and started feeling a little better. I spent quite a few miles trying to catch her and running to fast on the steep downhill. I saw her stop at the a water station and I was getting closer. The next water stop she went into a honey pot. I ran up and banged on the door that I really needed to use it now!! She came out a little freaked out (didn't know it was me) and then got a huge smile and hugged me cause I caught up and didn't quit. We finished together. We wanted to walk the last 2 miles but we didn't. I liked the path at the end of the race. My pains never totally went away until I layed down flat on the grass at the end. Ugh! I think that race was too steep. Don't know if I'll do it again. I'm glad I didn't quit.

| | 3.50 mile run/some walk. Ran first mile and my legs were screaming!! I walked a while and then started running again cause it was too cold. It felt good to run up Falcon hill.

9 Box jumps, 151/2 inches
I did 11 rounds sort of 5 with box jumps till I injured myself. I was finishing my 5 th round and had just started box jumps. I jump onto a sprinkler box and I put a base on it to make it higher. I didn't jump hish enough once and kick the box and came down on my left knee on the bottom left corner of the base! I screamed, cried, prayed that nothing was broken cause our insurance hasn't kicked in yet. huge bruises and scrapes immediately started forming.It started swelling. I layed there for a while till I felt I could get up. I finished 6 more rounds without box jumps and did extra dead lifts and push on one knee. :( I thought I'd be out for sure and maybe not even able to run. The pain at first was the worst Ive ever experience other than labor pains, it was just different then that. It was excruciating and then everything went numb after a while. Anyway, I took ibuprofen and its really ugly so I wore a long maxi skirt to cover it.

My right knee and below is swollen and very bruised but really only hurts when touched at all. So I guess it's just really badly bruised. It hurt a little while running but again just like a bad bruise. SO grateful it wasnt worse and I can still run. I haven't done crossfit in a while so I should have jumped on a shorter box and taken the base off!!!! oh well. Makeshift crossfit at home can be dangerous! Be ware!
