Last night (Friday) I stayed at a cabin up Big Cottonwood Canyon with friends. I had so much fun playing games, laughing, and getting to know people. I planned to leave early Saturday morning for my big workout. Well, that failed and I stayed up there until the afternoon. I woke up before everyone else and hit the snowy, icy, trails. I softly jogged up toward Doughnut Falls and left the snowshoes I was carrying on the side of the trail. On the way back down I passed cross country skiers that were also enjoying the lovely morning. I got back to where I had placed my snowshoes, and they were gone! I figured the skiers had taken them so I ran all the way back up the hill to catch them. They told me they saw the snowshoes and threw them behind a log on the other side of the path. I was a little annoyed. It took me about 10 minutes to find where they had put the snowshoes. Went back to the cabin and ate some breakfast. After breakfast everyone wanted to go up to the falls, so back up to the falls I went! The falls are beautiful! It's an easy trail and I will be going back in the spring to run it. Got home, went to the gym and did 6 miles in 50 minutes on the TM. The leg is feeling a lot better. I lifted for about 30 minutes after that.
