Run a sub 3:20 @ Air Force Marathon 2015.

Woke up at 5:30 a.m. to get a few more miles in.  My run had an AP of 7:50.  I felt like I was going faster, but I guess I wasn't.

This past weekend I went down to St. George with David to volunteer for the Ironman.  I was completely amazed at the ability of these athletes.  I was also inspired.  Time to sign up for next year's race! 

6 miles on the LC track.  1 mile swim or 32 laps in 29 minutes.  The swim felt really good probably because I have not been lifting as much.  Arms feel a flab.

Nice and easy JRP trail run.  7:44 AP.  It was extremely difficult heading north into the wind climbing up toward Camp Williams.  Nice and easy on the way back down with a potty stop.

I have not updated my blog about the race, so here it goes...

Beautiful weather, lovely course and happy running.  I took 2nd in my AG and that took me by complete surprise.  I enjoyed seeing Allie at mile 21 of the marathon with a large sign.  I also enjoyed my escort at the end of the race...  Thanks Daivd.   Awesome race day.  7:17 AP

Swam 42 laps @ the West Valley Rec with the handsome and charming David.  :)  He made me do intervals....Guess it was good for me.

4 miles that were very tiring on the TM @ the LC.

Spin class with Skinny Danny and prego RAD.  RAD was yelling at everyone in class to work harder today!  She is one crazy lady that I love having around.  Thanks for going today, I wouldn't have shown up if it weren't for you.....

2 slow miles with the fabulous RAD around the track. 

I was going to run more but I talked myself out of it.  I can feel a slight pain on the top part of my arch.  I would rather skip the run then have a possible stress fracture.  My miles have been so weak the last two weeks.  I feel that it is time to start building mileage and start getting serious about a possible marathon in July.  Right now I want to stay focused on keeping a healthy body. 

*Over the last week my cross training has been very good.  3 spin classes, 3 decent swims and 6 runs.  All of my workouts have been moderate effort level this week due to the race last week.  I want to pull in more interval work in the next few weeks.

Fun run without the BBK's.  I don't know what I was thinking today.  For some reason I thought the group run started at 5:00 and not 5:15.  I parked my car and started running and didn't wait for anyone!  I ran by myself because I thought I was late.  Workout was okay without the rest of the runners but I am silly.  I did a few laps of speed work on the track.

Spin class

1 mile swim in 32 minutes

6 miles from Westminster down to Liberty Park.  47 minutes total time.  Legs were hammered by the last mile. 

Overall this workout was great!  I want to continue to push my cardiovascular endurance like that.

10 great ones in the late morning on my Alpine loop.  I counted 47 bikers and 12 runners.  Went home to ride my bike and found it was flat when I arrived.
