Race day.  The race was either 10K or 10.5K.  The race announcement and FB page said the race was 10.5K, but the signs at the race said it was 10K.  There were no race timing chips or anyone keeping track of times, and I forgot to stop my watch for 2-3 minutes after the finish.  I was 3rd in my age group, one second behind number 2.  Number one was somewhere in front of us, probably a minute or so.  My wife said my time was 45 or 46 minutes.  I didn't kill myself in this race, but I did run hard.

It was supposed to be a 4.3-mile mountain race.  Because of poor race organization, I took a wrong turn and actually ran 6.7 miles.  The hills were monstrous, especially the biggest one, which gained nearly 1000 feet in elevation in about a mile.  Legs dead afterward, but I don't want to write more about a disaster.
