Went to the Provo River Trail with Collin, Guppy, and Sami. They were only doing 5-6 miles today so I only ran 2.5 easy miles with them and did the rest by myself. Another progressive run starting at 7:45 and ending at 6:25 with a 5:40 tenth mile, including 4 strides, 6:55 average for the whole run. Felt really controlled, one of those runs where I didn't want to turn around. Beautiful trail even though it is paved, I love the trees on both sides and the mountains. Wanted to branch of onto Bonneville shoreline but We have speed tomorrow and the others were waiting. Felt a little pain in my left foot/ankle on the way back but nothing to be worried about. Got back and ice bathed. Hung out with Sami for a little, since Collin and Guppy are dating and they're awkward. Sami is super cool tho so that was fun. Went to my house after and made grilled cheese and ate cereal. Best Sami in ping pong so apparently shes making me a bracelet. Great day

2.5 mile warmup, drills and strides. Workout was 2 sets of 200, 800, 400, 200, 200, 200 with 90 sec rest and 4 min in between sets. 200s were at 800 pace, 400s at mile, 800s at 2 mile. Felt really good, form felt great and breathing was good, mentally strong. Legs felt tired during the warmup but fine during the workout. Splits were 29, 2:15, 65, 30, 30, 29 and then 30, 2:15, 65, 31, 30, 29. Satisfied with those, especially the 800s. Just stayed with Connor and he paces amazing. Cooled down to the cemetery and did a mile on the grass there and then back to the high school. Found a ladybug on me while I was in the cemetery bathroom, that's a first, I don't know what happened to it tho, it could still be on me. After I got back I biked for 25 min with 1 set of 1 min, 4 min, 2 min, 1 min with 90 sec rest. Lifted lower body with Austin

Good run, about half on the rail trail and the rest on the roads around it. Started out slow and tight but got warmed up and cruised, 7:03 average including 3 buildups towards the end. Biked for 20 with 6 min uphill, 6 min downhill. Did some upper body and stretched, hips and glutes are sore from yesterday's lifting. More upper body tonight and maybe a jump rope workout.

Drove to Art Dye Park with Collin and ran around there. First mile I led Collin on a wild goose chase on these trails and through these weeds, I had no idea what I was doing but it was fun. Except for when I slid down the hill, but no worries the tree stopped me before I died. And then I got whacked by a stick in the ground somehow on my Achilles. Yeah that mile was like 9 minutes. Did some on the golf course, there was a lot of people but we didn't get yelled at so it was a success. After that my Achilles started bugging me so I rolled it out a little when we got back to the car. Finished up the last 2 miles and did strides, rolled out. Achilles felt better, hoping it was just from the twig because I haven't had any problems this whole season. It was just really tight and burning but my calf felt loose, kinda weird but not worried

Went to BYU to watch. There was a bunch of lighting delays so we left. Got back and did a mile then pre meet. 2 strides, 400 in 64, 200 in 31, 2 starts. Finished to 6.5 then did 15 min on the bike. Legs felt great, chipotle in my stomach did not

Warmed up 1.5ish then strides. Felt really good before. Gun went off and I got out and led the first 200 cuz I didn't want to come through in a 70 and no one else was taking it. Came through first 400 in 63 which was good ended up in about 8th and stayed there until the last lap when I moved to 4th. Finished in 4:21 and I was so hyped. I felt so strong and controlled during the race, I think mostly because I was focusing a little more on form and I stayed mentally tough. Goal was to go 4:22 and qualify for state so I'm happy I got that. Finally had a break through race and feel like the hard work is paying off. Confident I can go under 4:20 and 9:25 at state. Cooled down to 9 miles with Thom. Probably won't race at region since there's a pretty small chance I'll qualify in the 800.

Legs felt heavy and calves were really sore today. I think it's because of the form book I just read and I might've been trying to hard to do what it said when my form is actually pretty good already. So I just ran normal today, no worries. Was going to do killers but like I said I was not feeling good so I decided to do a lap around the pit which was awful because of construction and rain recently. After that adventure, did a mile and a half of speed changes around the upper cemetery grass, 5:50 average pace. Did a couple laps around the cemetery, grass felt good on the legs, back to the high school and finished to 9 on the turf. Biked for 30 min with 3 sets of 1 min on, 1 min off, 2 min on, 2 min off. Lifted upper body. Didn't have a lot of energy today, rough day

Drove to PG to run while my dad rode. 3.25 miles on a trail out towards Provo, last .5 out was really cool downhill by this cliff. Got back to the parking lot and ran around searching for a bathroom, finally found one so that was good. Did a mile up the Battle Creek trail, about 10 minutes for that one then 7:45 for the one down to the truck. Really hard run, lots of hills so I was breathing hard, average was 8:55. Good place to train, want to go back this summer

Region at Lone Peak today and tomorrow but I'm not racing because I've qualified in the 1600 and 3200. Got there and did a mile with a lap of speed changes. Workout was 3 sets of 400, 200 at mile pace with a recovery jog 100 in between and 4 min in between sets. Splits were 64, 32, then 62, 31, and 63, 32. Good workout, legs felt a little tired and sore from yesterday but not horrible. Cooled down to 8 on the Murdock Canal Trail then rolled out and watched region

2 miles on a paved trail to the canyon. Then hopped on the dirt trail me and my bro did 2 weeks ago. Did 2 miles on there, flying and smiling the whole way. Turned around and went back, last 2 miles were 6:12 and 6:07 (with 3 strides last .5), average was 7:00 pace. Felt great after the first two miles which is normal for me. Quality run today. Took Pioneer Crossing to AF, made it a loop with Nug. Started out kinda slow but picked it up after everyone left, last 4 miles were sub-6:45 with a 6:23 last mile including 2 laps of speed changes. Average was 7:00. Not my favorite run because of all the cars and mostly sidewalk but I don't mind, we never really go that way. Did 20 min on the bike with 1 set of 1 on, 2 off, 4 on, 2 off, 1 on, 2 off.

Biked to the Hinckleys for French toast and ping pong. Then warmed up 2 miles to the high school, drills and strides. Workout was 5X800 at 2 mile pace with 3 min rest. Splits were 2:22, 2:24, 2:20, 2:19, 2:18. Hard to find the pace and then ended up going faster but it was a good workout. Cooled down to 7 then went to Thom's for protein shake. Rode our bikes from there to Murdock, went out to the cemetery past 1600 N in Orem and back. Ate at the Hinckleys then iced and ride home, about 35 miles on the bike today. Held up pretty well after the speed and pouring concrete this morning. Really fun time

6 mile loop with Collin then finished on the turf. Decided to pick it up on the way back down and then never really slowed. Last 4 miles were 6:20, 5:27, 6:00, 6:30. Felt really good and controlled. Probably the last moderate effort this season, 6:37 average for 8 miles. 20 min biking, rolled out with Collin, looked at shoes online

5 miles with Thom, cut through dry creek park at one point and it was a swamp, totally soaked our shoes. Got back and did the workout 2 sets of 3X200 at mile pace with 90 sec rest and 3 min in between sets. Splits were 32, 33, 33 and 33, 31, 30. Pretty easy, just trying to feel the pace for Friday. Cooled down to 7. Goofed off a bunch today, it was fun. Got rolled out a little and watched jv region

1.5 mile warmup. Really nervous for this race. Gun went off and I got cut off right at the start, ended up in last but moved on the home stretch. Kept moving but had to run in lanes 2 and 3 for basically the whole race. Went for it the last lap but ended up getting outkicked by some people the last 100. Kinda disappointed I didn't go under 4:20 but it's motivation for tomorrow. Cooled down 3.5 with 2 on the indoor track at BYU.

Didn't ride the bus so I could get more sleep. Warmed up a mile and a half, wasn't as nervous as yesterday. Gun went off and I got out to where I wanted to be, near the back but still within striking distance. Hung there for about 3 laps then slowly started picking people off and getting back to the inside. Kicked really hard and passed some more people to finish 8th. Good race, focused on smiling and enjoying the moment. Might've been a little too conservative but happy with the 3 sec PR at elevation, especially after racing yesterday. Also scored is a point so that was cool. Cooled down with my bro at the indoor track through in 4 fast laps at different points, last speedy running of the season. Good season, happy with the 9 seconds off my mile and the 9:14 I ran at Arcadia. Feel like I enjoyed this seasons training the most out of any seasons so far. Excited to get stronger and faster this summer for XC

Rode up AF canyon with the Hinkles. Went to Tibblefork then did some of Alpine Loop. The gradual uphill was hard but the way down was fast, coasted faster than 35 mph. Really pretty scenery, fun ride, got a marathon of distance. Watched a bunch of buddies do the RB mile, took over mile splits snapchat and film a bunch of stuff, it was sick. Played some bball after

Another bike ride with the Hinckleys, went on Jordan River Trail past the golf course and Bluffdale. Got to a part where I haven't been before and it was pretty cool. Good ride, don't know exactly how far, gonna call it 18 miles

Did 8.5 and then another bike ride with the twins, Parker came too. Went Murdock Canal and jumped in at Highland Glen. Raced the last couple miles in the way back and hauled, hit a 2:55 mile. It was a good time

Had our track banquet tonight, got the outstanding distance award. It was pretty good until coach played the video and the it hit me. I cried like a baby for the next 30 min. Going to miss my coach, teammates, and friends so much.

Biked the long way to the Hinckleys, then we rode to AF on the roads. Pretty spontaneous bike ride, we had no idea where we were going it was fun. On the way back, Austin offered me his extra gloves cuz it was cold so I took them. Picked it up in the gradual downhill, my gears are stuck in the middle 7 so I was pedaling to fast, going around 25 mph. Foot slipped off the pedal and hit the tire I think. Lost control, hit the curb and went down. Braced fall with my hand then slid across the road face first. Both elbows and hips and one hand got scraped up bad. It's a good thing I had those gloves (which got shredded) because my hand would have been a lot worse without them. Luckily nothing's injured, my body just stings. Soaked and put hydrogen peroxide and neosporin on it, hopefully nothing gets infected. Not biking anymore this week and my road bike is trashed anyway. 22 miles today, 117 this week.

4 easy with my sis at 8:17 average pace. Then went on a bike ride with the Hinkckleys and Kobe. Ended up getting 50, went to Bridal Veil Falls and back, raced a fancy road bike team, and hauled. Sick stuff, quads were burning by the end. Rode my bros mountain bike and it was better than my road bike
